Subj: Happy with results so far
Date: 1/28/2006
I have been on Adipex for 6 days and I have lost 7 pounds. I am happy with the results so far and I have about 118 pounds to go. I did experience been sleepy, a little nervous and had to force myself to eat because I was not hungry for very long period of time. My mouth is always dry so I have to constantly drink my water. I drink mostly 2 liters a day but sometimes 3liters of water a day when I do not have any other drinks. My husband is a great support for me he is trying to get in shape and he has lost 3 pounds doing what I do but without the pill. We measure all our food into correct portions and most times we eat off the same plate. When we are not eating together we mostly eat off a saucer to keep up with correct portion amount. I do not want to be dependant on this pill for the rest of my life but I felt that I needed a little help until my stomach shrink and is conditioned to eat these portions amount. I want to develop good eating habits while on this pill so that I can maintain the results. I feel hopeful right now because I can see my efforts. That one pound I was loosing without the pill was very discouraging. I worked hard all week and cut back and all I lost was 1 pound, are you kidding me? At this rate it would take me forever to loose that amount of weight I need to lose to feel good about me. I am happy this pill was prescribed to me. I am also under a doctor's supervision and wear a heart rate monitor daily to be sure that I am in my zone for loosing the weight. So to ever one out there who desire to loose the weight, be sure to get moving a little I started with 5 minute cardio a day and now I am up to 10 min. Nothing to unrealistic for me. I do plan to keep progressing with this cardio but you all, just get moving! May the peace and power of God be with each of you.

Subj: Dangerous drugs
Date: 1/29/2006
I think Adipex, Ionamin and Fastin are extremely dangerous. I took all of these at various times over a 2-3 year period to help keep my weight down. I was diagnosed with primary pulmonary hypertension a couple of years after this and had to undergo a heart-lung transplant. now I must take many medications and have complications. I would advise anyone to stay away from these. They have all been linked to this disease.

Subj: One week of Adipex
Date: 1/30/2006
I have been on adipex for a week. The first time I took it, I felt like I was on a high. I told my fiance that it was like I just had 5 Red Bulls! It still gives me a "high" feeling now, but NOT like it did the first day. I was concerned about that, but it has since faded more. I was in the process of quitting smoking, and was doing pretty good. Until I started taking adipex. I find myself smoking alot more. I have not noticed any weight coming off. But I have only been on it for 7 days! Hopefully it will work! When I take it of the morning...well at 10:30 I can feel it working about 40 mins later. I am not hungry at all after I take it. I feel hungry around 5:00 or so, and eat then. But now I am eating something little when I take it, because I noticed my stomach was hurting a little. Telling me to eat something! So the adipex was sitting on nothing at all. And doing so, I have no stomach pains. I just needed a little something in there with the meds! So I guess it is working, that I don't snack around all day or eat all day. I eat smaller portions now. If I lose some weight I will post again!

Subj: Worried
Date: 1/31/2006
Absolutely have no desire to eat. I am forcing myself to consume ~900-1100 cal, day. Have lost 6 lbs in 6 days, workout very hard 5-6 days/week as well. Dealing with unpleasant side effects-sleep is difficult and I am very dizzy. But...weight loss worth it to me. Worried about my metabolism when I come off. Will it have slowed and will the weight come right back?
Fran

AskDocWeb: The weight should stay off if you eat proper foods and continue to exercise.

Subj: Cottonmouth
Date: 2/10/2006
I've been on adipex for 2 weeks now and have the worst case of "cottonmouth" and dry cough to go along with it .. any suggestions?
Judy

AskDocWeb: Dryness of the mouth is considered to be an adverse reaction. That means you should talk to your doctor about continuing this drug.

Subj: Adipex insomnia
Date: 2/11/2005

Any tips on how I can get myself to sleep?
Hanna

AskDocWeb: To avoid disrupting your sleep, try taking it early in the morning.

Subj: Feeling cold all the time
Date: 2/12/2006
Hi everyone. I started adipex on Saturday the 11.02.06. Today is Monday the 13.02.06. Saturday I weight 94,2Kilograms, today I weighted myself at 93.3 kilograms. I am hoping I belong to those of you who finally get a breakthrough and loose all my excess weight. I need to loose about 34 Kilograms in total. I already lost 22 Kilos last year on the South beach Diet, but I have lost my discipline, which is why I resorted to Adipex.

What I find very, very strange is that I am Constantly freezing cold. I go to bed with 3 hot water bottles. Can someone tell me why, and is that normal? Other than that I haven't felt bette3r in my life. I have energy, I feel good all the time, apart from freezing. Bye for now, Collette

AskDocWeb: It sounds like your circulation has been affected by adipex and this isn't good. Speak with your doctor about this problem and he may have you discontinue.

Subj: Blood in urine
Date: 2/14/2005

Dawn

AskDocWeb: Possibly but for your health sake, go to your physician immediatley and tell him about this.

Subj: Terrible effects
Date: 2/24/2006
I have only been taking adipex for a week and I am having terrible effects. I have been really dizzy and terrible headaches. And all throughout the day my head just feels really funny and just a dizzy feeling. Then I have also been nauseous. Not to mention my irritability and depression. It's funny I really did not even realize that it was the Adipex until yesterday when I decided to read the side effects. I like the results of the product but today will be my last day taking it. It's not worth feeling this way.

Subj: Adipex side effects
Date: 2/27/2006
I've been on Adipex for the last week. I have noticed that my cravings and desires to eat more have been cut dramatically. So far I've lost 6 pounds and really enjoy the results so far. The only bad part is the side effects. I too, have noticed a change in my mood, severe stomach cramping and I feel exhausted. In order to curb some of the side effects I've cut back to taking just a half a pill in the morning with my breakfast. I hope to reach my goal weight soon!

Subj: Weight loss advice
Date: 2/27/2006
I have been using the Adipex for 1 week now, I tried it 2 years ago only for a week and lost 10 lbs-no negative side effects. This time I have dry mouth, but that just reminds me to drink more water. Never any irritability associated with the Adipex for me. My Dr gave me a meal plan along with my prescription, with any diet it is important to eat enough food. Also he told me to try to exercise 30 mins per day. So my thinking is anyone serious about loosing should be exercising and following a balanced diet for 2 reasons, 1st so that you can get the most significant results, and 2nd so you can keep it off. As with any weight loss program you need to use the tools you are given to help you change your eating lifestyle, instead of depending on them to do the work for you. I have not weighed myself yet because I am more concerned with getting into better eating habits, and a more consistent workout schedule. Last week I was 188lbs, 5 years ago before my 3 kids I was 130lbs so I have some way to go but I know that by changing my eating and exercising with the help from Adipex I will be able to loose weight and maintain a healthier lifestyle afterwards! Good Luck to you!!

Subj: Adipex is Awesome
Date: 3/2/2006
I have been using Adipex for 3 days now and it is Awesome! I have tons of energy, have lost 5 lbs., but I am not jittery. My appetite is way down and it is allowing me the opportunity to take a step back and evaluate my eating habits. I am not constipated but I am eating a pack of fiber wafers in the morning for breakfast as I had read on here that it was a side effect for most people, I am trying to avoid it from the beginning. I am sleeping fine at night, no headaches or any other negative side effects. I did start a multi and a vitamin B complex with it to help with the mood swing side effect and so far I feel great! I definitely recommend this product if you fall into the guidelines for it. It is a great product to help you get a handle on the situation and start making better decisions for your lifestyle.
Tammy

AskDocWeb: You are getting off to a wonderful start, congratulations!

Subj: Purchasing Adipex
Date: 3/3/2006
How do you purchase apidex?
Claire

AskDocWeb: You can purchase Adipex from your local pharmacy but, before you can buy adipex you have to have a prescription from a doctor. This drug is for sort-term management of obesity and is not for those who just want to lose few pounds.

Subj: What's the worst?
Date: 3/7/2006
What is the worst damage can taking adipex 37.5 mg do to your body over a 10 year period taking 80% of the time? I was just wondering.
TAMMY

AskDocWeb: The worst would be cardiovascular disease, severe hypertension, hyperthyroidism, glaucoma, and agitated states.

Subj: Hair loss from Adipex?
Date: 3/25/2006
I want to know if me using adapex for 2 months now is the reason I am losing more hair than the normal amount girls lose on a daily basis.
Newman

AskDocWeb: Hair loss is not "officially" listed as a side effect but you are not the first to ask about it. Anyone else?
