Heart problems
Date: 4/27/2006
I took Adipex for about four weeks. Ended up losing about 20 pounds and then had 4 cardiac arrests, with no medical history whatsoever. Unbelievably, Im still alive. This product is dangerous.

Having side effects
Date: 4/30/2006
I have been taking Adipex for 4 days now, im having moods swings, headaches, dizziness, feeling tired also like im going to throw up. Is there anything I can do to cut the side effects out?

Dry mouth
Date: 5/13/2006
I have been taking Adipex for about 2 weeks. I have the energy to exercise after work and that for me is great!! The only bad thing I have noticed is dry mouth but that's managed by drinking a lot of water, but with the water intake I pee all the time but oh well I have lost 12 pounds and I feel great for the first time in years!!

3 month review
Date: 5/31/2006
I have been using Adipex for three months, this pill is wonderful I have lost almost 30 lbs, I feel great; more active and I don't eat as much like before. This pill really shows you how to control your appetite. On the down side, I have some headaches and my libido went down.

Lost 25 pounds and worth it!
Date: 6/24/2013
I have been on adipex for 4 days shy of a month. I am doing great. I've lost 25 pounds and my appetite is perfect for losing weight. Usually I eat something between 3 and 4 pm and that's all I'm hungry for. I drink ALOT of water and snack every couple of hours. Something little like a granola bar or yogurt or fruit and veggies. I have experienced a few side effects: sleep deprivation the first couple of days. Constipation, hemmoroids and a little nausea. All in all, i would take about these side effects to feel as good as I am feeling now about myself! It's definitely worth it!

Bowel blockage
Date: 8/21/2013
Been on Adepex for about two months. Just trying to get over the worst bowel blockage of my life, and really, still not over it. Suggestions? Help?

AskDocWeb: Sounds like you may need the help of your doctor. Constipation is a known side effect that usually occurs when there is a lack of water for the digestive system to function normally. However, it also has other possible causes so check with your doctor.

Itchy skin

I take Adipex-P. and just recently started laying in the tanning bed. My skin is so itchy but not red or sunburnt. What do I need to do?

AskDocWeb: Sorry Sara, this free forum is limited to discussing the side effects of Adipex. For medical advice you would have to pay your local doctor or spend less with Doctors online.Ad

Adipex experience

If ever there was such a thing as a weight loss miracle pill, this would be the one. HOWEVER, with great reward comes great sacrifice. Your goal on this medication should be to get off of it as soon as possible because the side effects are really extreme.

I have used Adipex 2 different times in my life. The first time I lost 80lbs in 4 months by walking 45 min a day and only taking in 1000 calories a day. I am taking it again currently, and again Im having great success. BUT, I do feel miserable. I split my dose in half taking half a pill in the morning and half before lunch.

About 30 min after taking a dose I start sweating profusely and it lasts for several hours. I feel very hot and sick to my stomach most of the time. Eating is a chore and the last thing on your mind, but not eating on this drug just makes you feel even more sick. You have plenty of energy at first, but once it starts to wear off, its a very hard crash. The mood swings are off the chart! You will experience sadness, anger, agression, hopelessness. And that's not the worst. Like me you might even experience the irregular heartbeat and shortness of breath when you are at perfect rest laying in bed or sitting down watching television. AND THIS DOESNT GO AWAY! Even if you stop the medication for months. I get headaches often without relief from medications and my teeth are decaying before my eyes due to constant dry mouth.

I would recommend using Adipex to get control of appetite and get you used to daily exercise. Then get off the drug quickly before you have side effects that dont go away. Best of luck to all who take this road.
