Ambien review
Date: 11/7/2014
THIS DRUG IS DANGEROUS! I was prescribed Ambien because I can only sleep 2 hrs at a time.. One night I took it before bed because I knew i had a very busy day the next day and wanted to be awake and alert.... EPIC FAIL I guess I woke up missing sleep and just was wandering around the house. .walking into things.. falling. .TALKING.. ARGUING...FALLING ALL OVER THE PLACE.. Almost went down 17 stairs because I didn't acknowledge the real world. . I was literally oblivious to my surroundings and the people around me.. God forbid I would have got out and drove my car!!! My husband locked the doors and I guess I didn't know how to unlock it.. he audio taped me after 6 hrs in and when I listened to it I was just embarrassed and felt almost violated because I didn't remember one single minute much less the HOURS I kept my family awake and scared! Needless to say that was the LAST time I took ambien.

When I told the doctor what happened and showed him ALL THE BRUISES I had aquired he just shook his head and kinda chuckled and said well guess you should stop taking them! Uuumm ya think! Later after questioning friends and family members I discovered that I made phone calls on MANY occasions never remembering... DO NOT TAKE... what if I would have taken my baby out of the house? Or cooked? (which was ANOTHER thing my husband had to stop me from doing!! I put the gas burners on and almost set my sleeve on fire because I didn't realize I was near FIRE! The sad thing is that it helped me.. I felt rested the next day after taking it and had none of the other side effects. . I hope this helps SOMEONE or at least makes you aware of what can happen. . NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT THIS EFFECT NOT EVEN MY DOCTOR...

Shocked at side effects of Ambien
Date: 1/16/2015
I had used Ambien for about Four or Five years. But, about three weeks ago, I got out of bed at about 3 A.M. and turned most of the furniture upside down, chased my wife's three cats down and locked them in the garage, then I woke my wife up and cussed her out and then fell asleep on the couch. When I awoke, I could not remember doing any of that. I was shocked when I looked up the side effects of Ambien on Google. I will not take anymore under any circumstances. I cannot understand why it is still being prescribed. I talked to some of my friends who take Ambien and they had similar events. Beware.

Migraine trigger
Date: 6/28/2015
Ambien is a migraine trigger for me. And I only get four hours of sleep from a 10 mg dose. I've had better luck with self-hypnosis apps for sleep. I play them on my iPhone and go right to sleep. Try other things!

Sleep eat, ear pain and broken bones
Date: 8/28/2015
I have been on Ambient for seven years. I have Fibromyalgia and Lupus. I do not fall asleep so Ambient works for me. I am not having severe ear pain on a daily basis. Has anyone ever experienced chronic ear pain. I too, sleep eat on Ambient so now I eat with it when I go to bed. I truly need a good night's rest but if the ear pain is stemming from the Ambien then I will have to think of another solution. I also have broken a few bones on Ambient due to falling asleep etc, people don't realize how lucky they are to fall asleep on their own. Thank you,
Suzie

AskDocWeb: You may want to seek other solutions because earache is listed as one of the possible side effects of Ambien.

It's frustrating
Date: 10/6/2015
Intake ambien on rare occasion as I don't want to become addicted or desensitized to the point where I have to up the dosage to get the same effect. I also don't mix ambien with alcohol...I think there's actually a warning in the bottle and the packaging not to do this. Some of the side effects I've read on this thread could have been avoided by using as directed. As to the OP, yes, I suffer the exact same side effects as you. I took one last night and this morning I am nauseous and feel sort of lightheaded with a slight (not unpleasant) tingling sensation in my limbs. I have to go to work in an hour, and I'm praying that it will clear up by then. It's frustrating that it say to make sure you have 8 hours before taking...I had 12 hours between consumption and now, and I'm still loopy.

Ambien and Kidney Disease
Date: 11/7/2015
I HAVE 4TH STAGE KIDNEY DISEASE, ANY SIDE EFFECTS FOR ME? DONT USE OFTEN, NEPHROLOGIST KNOWS I OCCASIONALLY TAKE THEM.
Darla

AskDocWeb: The only caution we found related to kidney disease was for those who suffer withdrawal after extended use of Ambien. That can sometimes resulted in hypertension, which is a problem with the blood vessels leading away from the heart. Hypertension is known as the "silent killer" and can lead to damage to the heart, brain, kidneys and eye, and even to stroke and kidney failure.

Ambien review
Date: 11/27/2015
ambien is extremely dangerous in many aspects. Several times I have had whole adventures that I do not have one inkling of memory of. None of these adventures were good or resulted in anything good. Matter of fact they ranged from phantom buying things online to reaching out to people online and being nasty and actual driving and unleashing a nasty temper on loved ones which I have never been someone ever to blow up in my life. Also I would wake up filled with rage and aggression - which I thought it was just me be have read it's a side effect. Took it for many years and I have a theory that it has a sort of build up in your system and once loaded into your blood stream after a while shit can get crazy.

I will never take it again. Already since i stopped for a couple weeks I am back to myself. I'll just go sleepless from now on, it did so much damage it's not worth just a little extra sleep. People that don't experience crazed side effects are very lucky, but you are taking a big risk. if you do some research you will find many cases of extreme crap going wrong while on this POS drug.
