Great help
Date: 12/20/2010
I find cyclopenzaprine a great help to me. I am not taking anything else but this. I lost my husband 3 month ago. I could not relax or breath comfort. I am able to be more active to exercise and play outdoor tennis and wii game. it had taken me 2 day to understand how it works for me. I have the drive to focus and plan my day and adapt to my work schedule 11-7 and found no problem of not falling sleep during my work time.

My dr. and I was concern that I may get depress with this med. which it has not. positively moving on freely. only problem I have is: I love to drink grapefruit and I can't have it due the sideeffect could arise. I didn't take it with clclobenzapine it was another kind of med. from my dentist appt. years ago, it make me feel like I had too much caffeine. so I avoid grapefruit whenever I take any kinds of med. Thanks for living and breathing in peace of mind..on forward.

No help for fibromyalgia
Date: 7/19/2011
I was taking this medication along with 2 types of antidepressants and sedatives to treat Fybromyalgia. It didn't seem to help with my muscle or joint pain. I had been taking it for about 5 months and have recently stopped taking it. I don't think it was helping with my Fybromyalgia symptoms but it's so hard to tell with the way the symptoms ebb and flow.

Weight gain?
Date: 4/20/2012
Can Cyclobenzaprine cause weight gain? I only take 1 pill at night. I had had trouble with my stomach due to IBS and lost alot of weight. Now my stomach is better and I have gained 10 pounds. I'm wondering if it's the Cyclobenzaprine or if this is my natural weight. I am 69 years old. Could this possibly be what I should weigh.

AskDocWeb: This is one of the medications that may or may not cause weight gain or weight loss. It varies with the individual. Your particular natural weight changes over time. There is a general tendency for the metabolism to slow down as you get older, which results in weight gain for many people.

When using weight as a general indicator of your state of health it is sometimes useful to measure your Body Mass Index. Athletes have a slightly different calculator for Lean Body Mass.
