At 30 days
Hi, I am using mintop 2% from Dr.reddy's. its been nearly 30 days hair fall is reduced but the hair which i lost i still not growing back and the denser of my hair is also gone when using it for first 10 days, i lost my hair in left and right of my forehead. My questions is will my hair density increase and hair will grow on the bald area if i continue the product for another 2 months. Please help me out.
AskDocWeb: It may take from three to six months before the full effect is seen so be patient.
Donīt use Minox, it will not do anything anyway except give you racoon eyes and bad skin and tiredness. Use massage instead, use your fingertips or palm of hands to massage (not rub) your scalp. Hair loss may stop - it did for me. Now I use two big vibrators (yes it does look silly) and I got a lot of hair back. Hair growth is a sloooow process. Took me 2 years to get 2cm of scalp line back. But overall, itīs much thicker. Eat zinc and other minerals used in hair growth.
Minoxidil while pregnant?
Hello there. I have a dillema I have been on Minoxidil 1mg oral for 18 months, because i have androgenic alopecia, had noticeable improvement, however just found out im 6 weeks pregnant, not sure what to do now, as i dont want to lose all my hair during next 8 months of pregnancy. Also for Minoxidil to take effect it took me around 8-12 months to see any difference. Soem doctors are saying to stop taking Minoxidil now, some are saying it's ok to take 1mg. Please advise, i dont know what to do. Thank you
AskDocWeb: First we want to point out that this forum is about topically applied minoxidil, not the oral drug. This is not a forum for advice but rather the discussion of side effects of minoxidil.
According to Drugs.com, ?Only four cases of exposure to oral minoxidil in human pregnancy have been reported. In two of these four cases, minoxidil was associated with congenital abnormalities, but the presence of severe hypertension and the use of other drugs, including an ACE inhibitor in one case, make implication of minoxidil as a teratogen or as the sole teratogen difficult. Hypertrichosis was markedly evident in one malformed infant and as the sole abnormality in the other. One infant, whose mother was taking oral minoxidil throughout gestation, showed no adverse effects.?
I'm using Zenoxidil minoxidil 10%. Im pretty much worried about my hair fall in the past 4 months. Now a doctor prescribed me this minoxidil 10 a month ago .. and im yet to complete 1 month of treatment. I have a few doubts
1. Im not seeing any improvement in my hairfall. It is increased since the start of use. How long will it take for the medicine to set??
2. How many days i have to use it ?
3. How much to use it a day??What are the side effects ??
4. Is it enough to use this solution in only bald spots??or i have apply on the entire scalp
AskDocWeb: In the USA the Food and Drug Administration has not approved the use of the 10% minoxidil formula. Since it is considered an experimental drug here we will refer you back to the doctor who prescribed it.
Minoxidil 5% is a permanent solution? Plz ans. Or minokem and minoxidil is a same medicine?
AskDocWeb: In our opinion, other than a hair transplant or acceptance, there is currently no permanent solution to hair loss. Minokem is a combination formula of Minoxidil, Azelaic acid and Tretinoin. Both Minokem and Minoxidil are treatments, not cures.
23 year old male
Sir im 23 year old (male) sir i observe my baldness is start from forhead. So my frend suggest me to using mintop but im scare about its side effects and i dont know how to use it so tell me how to use which one is suitable for me 2% or 5%
AskDocWeb: The first step in treatment is always to evaluate the condition so if you haven't had a medical examination to rule out thyroid problems, fungus and other causes of hair loss, that is something to consider getting done.
If you need the treatment, get if from a reputable pharmacy or drug store. It will come with directions that tell you how and when to use it. As with most minoxidil formulas, it is applied twice a day. The 2% formula is recommended for women and the 5% formula for men.
Hair fall increased
Hello, I started using it since a week but I see hairfall increased and now I am so confused to use or stop.can anyone please suggest me.
AskDocWeb: The directions say to discontinue use and consult with your doctor if hair fall continues beyond two weeks.
Swelling on face
Sir, I've been using Morr5% since 10months with Finax 1% & Vitamins tab ,which is referred by my dermatologist. But still could not see the change in my hair growth. And now he has recommended the tabs - Follihair(biotin, amino acid)& Xtraglo (Methylsuifonylmethane) which I'm taking from past 2 months. Sir, will it be helpful? (I've male pattern). Also I can see some swelling on face. Your guidance will be helpful. Thanks.
AskDocWeb: The swelling on your face needs to be reported to your doctor as soon as possible because that may indicate a developing problem. If you have trouble breathing, your throat becomes tight, or the swelling becomes severe, see your doctor or go to the emergency room right away.
Minoxidil on face?
Hi, I am a 22 year old male, my question is can i use minoxidil on my face? If yes then how much percentage containing minoxidil should i use?
AskDocWeb: That would be considered an ?off-label? use and is not recommended.
