Bad experience with foam
i bought a mintop forte foam 10% recently and on using the product the first time the foam just did not stop till most of the product was wasted.
AskDocWeb: Sounds like you may have a defective dispenser. That's rare but it does happen.
Itchy chest, arms and thighs
Following 2 months of 5% Minoxidil use I have very itchy chest arms and inside thighs .I have not changed my diet so assume its Minoxidil any feedback?
AskDocWeb: While it is possible for Minoxidil to cause such symptoms there are also other possible causes. For this reason it's a good idea to have your doctor check your assumptions.
What happens if I stop?
Hello I started using Minoxidil, and I have question. What will happend if I will stop using it after for example 6mon or 1-2 years. What result i will have? The same as I had before or result can be terrible? Thanks
AskDocWeb: For those who have used the product successfully for an extended period of time, it appears that once the growth stimulant is discontinued the hair that resulted from using the product falls out over a period of several weeks. The rate at which hair is lost then returns to what it was before using the Minoxidil.
i am purchase to mintop 10% solution, but no result to mintop 10 % solution continue uses to last 8 month
can rogaine 5.0 foam be applied to a shaved head? the directions advise not to apply it to a shaved scalp but i shave my head 2 to 3 times a week to hide the baldness. Can i continue to shave my head and use this product?
AskDocWeb: A shaved scalp would allow too much of the product to be absorbed into the body, which would increase the chances of an overdose. Please review the effects of an overdose.
is mintop 10 is suitable for beard and mustach
AskDocWeb: Sorry, it is recommended for use only on the scalp.
Hi, Can i apply minoxidil 5% on alternative days. Does it work? please confirm
AskDocWeb: The directions say to apply it twice a day. Applying it only once every other day would be one fourth the amount recommended by the manufacturer. That seems like it would be a waste of time.
Could minoxidil topical solution cause thyroid disfunctioning..?
AskDocWeb: Minoxidil is not known to effect the thyroid. On the other hand, hair loss is a common side effect of thyroid disorders, including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, and other thyroid conditions.
SIR i am male 29 years,i am almost bald in crown area and middle part of my head.My dermatology doctor suggest me to use minscalp10% tropical solution along with antioxidant multivitamin tablet, its almost 1 months but no results how much time should i continue this?
AskDocWeb: If you get the results you want then you have to continue using the products as long as you want to keep the results. Although what you are using does not work for everyone it does work for some people. It may take anywhere from 3 to 12 months for the full effect to show up.

I'm a 30 year old female who was prescribed minoxidil 5% by a dermatologist 6 weeks ago due to my receding hairline. I have noticed that I've grown a considerable amount of facial hair and have stopped using this product. I just want to if the facial hair will fall off naturally and how long will that take? Also, if not, what measures can I take to remove the hair as I am a dark skinned woman and laser might not work on me?
AskDocWeb: As we understand it, the hair growth caused by Minoxidil falls out over a period of months following the discontinuation of the product. This may be speeded up by using a hair growth inhibitor such as Vaniqa but that too has possible side effects.
i have using hair joy solution 5%of minooxdil solution using three months hair can easily dried and sweep hair fall out so reduce the hair loss and take me solution
Age related use of Minoxidil
I am 64 and wanting to use it. Will I get just as good as results as someone quite a bit younger?
AskDocWeb: Studies show that Minoxidil works best in younger patients who have a short history of hair loss. It has been tested in a limited number of older patients up to 65 years of age. That testing has not shown to cause any different side effects or problems than it does in younger adults. It has not been studied in patients older than 65 years of age. Good luck Karen.
