Date: 4/9/2015
I am jason , 25 years old minoxidil is very useful for me it stops my huge hair fall with in few couple of months And I want to know that Is minoxidil useful for facial hair growth if we use is there any side effects?

AskDocWeb: Minoxidil is approved for use only on the scalp, not on the face. It appears that the clinical trials did not explore using minoxidil on the face or other areas so the side effects of doing that are unknown.

Correct way to use minoxidil
Date: 4/17/2015
I am Femi 24 age. I started using minoxidill hair 4 u 5%. i mixed minoxidill with ginglee oil and i am apply in my hair. is this correct way to use minoxidill? how long i want to use this?

AskDocWeb: The correct way to use minoxidil can be found in the directions that come with the product, that is the package insert. It is helpful to make a distinction between applying minoxidil to your hair and applying minoxidil to your scalp. While getting it on your hair is unavoidable, there is no benefit from applying it just to the hair. It must be absorbed through the scalp in order to stimulate growth in the roots of the hair.

Mixing oil with minoxidil is not recommended by the manufacturer. However, this does not mean that it can't be applied after the minoxidil dries.

Diet problem or stress
Date: 4/19/2015
Air I'm using mx10 and its working. my demalogist said that there is no need to use it permanently for life time as he said my hair loss due to diet problem or stress. And after getting gud hair I can discontinue to use it and no problem will be occurred is it true sir? Plz suggest me

AskDocWeb: If your dermatologist said that your hair loss was caused by a diet problem or stress then we would ask, "Which is it, diet or stress?" If there is a problem with diet then more attention needs to be paid to the quality of the food you eat, that's about nutrition. On the other hand, if there is a problem caused by stress then taking a stress management course may be beneficial. As stated, it sounds like your dermatologist is just guessing.

AskDocWeb: Whenever possible it is important to determine the cause of the hair loss so that an appropriate treatment can be prescribed. Getting a complete medical examination may reveal a health issue that can be treated.

Minoxidil 10%?
Date: 4/27/2015

AskDocWeb: Please check your "Caps Lock" key on your keyboard. It appears to be stuck, that is, unless you intended to shout your message.

The 10% solution of minoxidil is not approved by the FDA for use by consumers. The stronger the dosage the more likely it is to produce unwanted side effects and is not recommended.

Mintop 10
