Subj: Dryness and itching
Date: 11/25/2009
I have been taking viconid for about 2 years pretty much on a daily basis for pain in my lower and hip. I taken any wheres from 1/2 two to three times a day. My question is I have been experincing dryness and alot of itching not in my vaginal area but just along the outer lips of this area not the whole pubic area just the outline. Putting moister on it does help somewhat but not alot. Could this be from taking the vicodin and cause dryness or something else?

AskDocWeb: The only dryness listed for Vicodin is dry mouth so it is likely to be something else. On the other hand, itching is listed as a possible side effect that should be reported to your doctor.

Subj: Harmful when wet
Date: 4/21/2010
I assume these are harmful when wet. If so I need to order more as mine have melted. Yes I am clumbsy.

AskDocWeb: The effectiveness of most drugs and supplements are degraded if they get wet. Remember to take care when you are taking care of yourself.

Subj: Severe joint pain
Date: 6/25/2010
Am experiencing severe joint pain after receiving a tetnus shot over 10 weeks. How long can I expect this to last? What should I take for the pain?

AskDocWeb: The discomfort of a tetanus shot usually doesn't last more than 3 or 4 days but in some cases may last for weeks. Many people find that applying ice to the injection site, especially if there is swelling, to be helpful. Your healthcare provider should check out any severe joint pain.

The web is a very confusing thing for my high anxiety and ADHD and would like to know can lobelia be combined with other things to stop smoking and what are all the positive results natural supplements/herbs that can help as there are those finding it hard to find and others easy and mainly that not one site has all and bits and pieces of remedies - pills and herbs all natural here and there different sites and takes way to much time and consuming effort please pretty please help. AskDocWeb: It is not a natural supplement but licorice has been reported to make smoking taste nasty. Have you tried snacking on licorice when you feel the urge to smoke? We've read one report that V-8 juice also does that, but that is just a rumor.

Subj: Bump below the surface
Date: 12/9/2010
I have a hard bumb or small pimple on my top is beneath the surface of my lip so you can't see it but I can feel it..been told to see a derm. to cut it open!! Yikes, any other suggestions would be appreciated..thanks so much!!

AskDocWeb: Without knowing what it is, there is no way to determine what to do about it. A hard bump under the skin could be a pimple but it could also be a cyst or a tumor. It may or may not need removing. That is what a dermatologist will determine.

DILAUDID SEROQUEL I am wondering about any addverce effects of these two med's. I have taken the two in the past at the same time I have had almost like a paranoid dreams. Is that normal or should I seek a med change?

AskDocWeb: About 2% of patients taking Seroquel report abnormal dreams. Paranoid reactions are listed as an infrequent side effect of Seroquel. There is a moderately severe drug interaction possible when using Dilaudid (hydromorphone) with Seroquel (quetiapine). The effects on the central nervous system and/or respiratory system may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking these drugs together, especially in elderly or debilitated patients. Activities requiring mental alertness and motor coordination may be hazardous until you know how these drug affect you. If you experience excessive or prolonged CNS and respiratory depression contact your doctor.
