Back pain and feeling anxious
Hello, I took phentermine for 2 wks I stopped taking fri night I had a dull pain in my back n started to get very anxious is this withdrawl symptom will it go away?
AskDocWeb: Back pain and feeling anxious are not withdrawal symptoms from stopping Phentermine. Since Phentermine is a stimulant, you are more likely to feel anxious while taking it than after discontinuing use. Persistent symptoms should always be discussed with your doctor.
Cramps are unbearable
I started Phentermine over a week ago and i also am having toe cramps, severe stomach spasms, severe leg cramps and my back muscles will seize up and spasm. I was wondering since it is not listed as a side effect why do some of us have the same symptoms and what can i do to help with these they wake me up all times of the nite. I really like what it has done for me so far but the cramps are unbearable. Thanks.
AskDocWeb: You might have your doctor review your medications to determine if any of the drugs might be contributing to the cramps. This problem is commonly reported by those taking cholesterol-lowering medicines (Lipitor, etc.) and certain asthma drugs.
We often encourage people to get plenty of potassium and magnesium. One surprising remedy for muscle cramps is a spoonful of yellow mustard. It may sound odd but many readers find it helpful.
Phentermine and fertility
I have lost about 17 pounds on 30 mg Phentermine over 3 months, the only thing that I have is a little insomnia. I have increased my exercise to 4 days a week and have been testing to have IVF procedure. Can the Phentermine cause my FSH testing to be abnormally high?
AskDocWeb: First let's define those acronyms; IVF stands for in vitro fertilization, which involves combining eggs and sperm outside the body in a laboratory. FSH testing measures the level of follicle stimulating hormone found in human serum. This hormone regulates the development, growth, pubertal maturation, and reproductive processes of the human body. In women FSH is often used as a gauge of ovarian reserve. In general, under 6 is excellent, 6-9 is good, 9-10 fair, 10-13 diminished reserve, 13+ very hard to stimulate. Phentermine is not known to raise FSH levels.
