Back pain
Date: 4/15/2015
I just started taking phentermine 4 days ago, & I was ok for the 1st day, but after that I started getting moderate to severe pain in my mid back, at the bra line, by the spine. I am concerned that it is not actually my back that is hurting but my organs under my rib cage, & it just feels like it's in my back but very deep in. Wouldn't it inhibit my movement if it was actually my back? This doesn't inhibit my movement but hurts worse in certain positions. I thought it may be from dehydration (even though I've been drinking a lot) so I drank a ton of water today & the pain is still there, although not as severe. Do you have an opinion on whether it's my organs or back?

There are a bunch of people talking on online forums about back pain but when I called my doctor to ask about it, they acted like it wasn't something they heard about often & it wasn't a side effect. Also on the first day I had a lot of energy & felt like doing things, now I just don't feel like doing anything & i'm not in a good mood. I don't feel good at all. I feel drained. The side effects of this drug are very harsh to me. I'm going to stop taking it for a couple of days to give my body a break.

AskDocWeb: According to the Mayo Clinic back pain is one of the possible side effects of Phentermine and is listed as common. Many patients feel an initial increase in energy when starting Phentermine however, that typically fades as the body adjusts to the drug.

This helps
Date: 4/21/2015
I have been taking phentermine for a few days and what I think helps the itching and insomnia is benedryl. It's not my first time also potassium pills and natural potassium bananas.

15 mg. Phentermine?
Date: 4/24/2015
I'm only on day 3 of taking Phentermine. After reading all these reviews used almost everyone was prescribed 37 mg. I was only prescribed 15 mg. I weigh 242 and am 5'2. Is this going to be enough for me? Also the Doc would only prescribe me a 2 month supply.

AskDocWeb: The reason that drugs are made in different dosages is that some patients can get the same results on 15mg as those taking 37mg. The higher the dosage the more likely the chance of unwanted side effects showing up, which is to be avoided if possible.

Difficulty breathing
Date: 4/25/2015
I can't breathe. I've been on phentermine for about 10 days now and every night I have experienced a bit of insomnia and a change in my breathing, also anxiety. Now day 10 and it's awful. I can't take a deep breath, I'm not getting enough air and it has been all day since I woke up this morning and now it is 1246 am. I don't know what to do. My chest is tight and every so often I can get one deep breath and the rest of the time I'm struggling.

AskDocWeb: Difficulty breathing may be life threatening and should be discussed with your doctor or emergency services immediately.
