I was so pumped up because two of my coworkers have been taking it and they have really lost a lot of weight.. I lost four pounds in the first week but I can no longer tolerate the constipation. I took stool softners and that worsen the situation. I have noticed my hair is breaking off so bad in the top. I would really love to continue with the 3 month plan but I really miss my regular bowel movements. My hair is all natural and I do not apply heat to it but maybe one week. I've been so dizzy that I have to stand still and just wait until my vision is clear again. My heart rate has increased as well. I know the hair loss hasn't been recorded as a sympton but it is definitely one of mine.. Women please be careful. The rapid weight loss is Excellent but the side effects are not. Watch your hair even though it's not listed as a side effect. That doesn't mean it isn't caused by Phentermine. Irregular periods are not listed as well. I haven't even been taking the pill for a month yet and I'm looking for my missed cycle and my hair.. I'm out..NO MORE PHENTERMINE FOR ME... April Subj: Sore throat and chills Date: 3/31/2010 I started taking phentermine yeszterday and woke up today with a horrible sore throat and now getting the chills. Is this related to the pills? Given that your hair grows about a half an inch per month, if you keep your hair 6 inches long it would stay in your hair for a year. The smart way to go is to lose the weight slowly over time. Those who lose a pound or less per day have a much better chance of keeping the weight off long-term. That said, most doctors would not prescribe this drug unless they thought you could benefit from its use, short term of course. Subj: Stiff muscles Date: 4/11/2010 Well i have been on phentremine for 2 days now and i sometimes feel like my leg muscles are stiff and very little numb, but i think that is from them feeling stiff.is that normal. i have never taken phentermine, so im not used to the side effects.is this my body adjusting to it? tiffany AskDocWeb: The symptoms that may occur as the body adjusts to the drug are dry mouth, unpleasant taste in the mouth, sleeplessness, irritability, stomach upset and/or constipation. Others have reported problems with their legs while taking Phentermine (cramps, stiffness, aches, and pain) but these are not listed as possible side effects. Those reporting leg pain also report that it went away within 3 weeks of discontinuing the drug. Subj: Hair loss Date: 4/11/2010 I have been taking phentermine for about 10 months have lost 50lbs i feel really great but my hair is getting really thin on top is it the pills or is it not getting enough calories? If a drug causes hair loss, it usually doesn't stop until the drug is discontinued. Subj: Elevated liver enzymes Date: 4/12/2010 I am very concerned regarding use of phentermine. I had elevated liver enzymes and my doctor took me off of phentermine, the levels returned to normal in a few weeks, but I have seen others on the internet state that they have had the same problems. I really need to find a safe appettite suppressant that doesn't harm my stomach (it's very sensitive) and other body organs! I have had only minor diziness and restlessness, but mostly I am concerned about the severity of constipation and causing rectal bleeding or fissures that I never had prior to the medication. Subj: A small price to pay Date: 4/13/2010 I took Phentermine from 11/24/08-03/24/09...I am 4'10" and I was 135 lbs....I had high cholesterol and I was depressed about what I looked like I was in a size 12...I didnt want to wear a bikini ever again..6/2008 I was 100 lbs and looked awesome...today I weigh 105 and I still look great. I exercise 3 times a week cardio and watch what I eat and I have kept it off...I have anxiety and took it anyways...I had one major panic attach while on it toward the end of 03/2008, a small price to pay for my overall happiness...I am now in a size 3 and I love my life...phentermine is a wonderful drug under the right circumstances but it is not for everyone...I would take it again in a heartbeat but you have to decide if its really necessary bc if you use it too much your body wont react and it is addicting...my doc only let me take it for three months that was it... Robin Subj: Extreme mood swings and numbness Date: 4/15/2010 I just started taking phentermine and as of today it has been one week. I have noticed extreme mood swings (which I know is a side affect) restlessness, and less cravings as expected BUT I am experiencing numbness in my hands and toes. It is a tingle, warm sensation, that feels like my hand is about to fall asleep. The thing that worries me is it went from every so often to all day today. It was just my hands and now it's my hands and feet and sometimes my arm. No matter if I am moving or sitting it's still there. What does this mean and is it damaging me in any long term way?
