Subj: Noticed a few things taking Procerin
Date: 3/23/2005
I am 30 and have been losing hair for the last 6 or 7 years significantly. I still have hair on the top but it has thinned quite a bit. I have tried Rogaine and more recently Revivogen. Revivogen has worked the best of the two, but I have a hard time keeping up with the topical applications. I find that at night I'll lay down to sleep and realize I've forgotten to put it on, and it's a bit of a hassle to get up and do it and I end up skipping it. I recently started using Procering, as it is very easy for me to take 3 tablets a day, along with other supplements I take. I don't skip doses this way. I have noticed already that there is a similar feeling with the Procerin that I used to get after applying the Revivogen. The best I can describe is that, before applying the Revivogen, my scalp felt as though the pores were 'tightening'. I also noticed a lot of sebum built up by day's end. I've noticed now, after just a few days of using Procerin that the sebum is less, and I have less of the feeling of my pores 'tightening'. I am going to keep using it and see if I get any regrowth or at least not as much loss.

Subj: How to purchase Procerin
Date: 3/29/2005
Dear sir; thanks for your information. I'm 33 years old and I'd like to try procerin but unfortunately I don't know how I can purchase it. I'm from Iran. Thank you for your consideration. Best regards,

AskDocWeb: It can be purchased with a credit card but call your local customs office first. Ask if the product is on the counter ban list. The Customs office maintains a list of products that they ban from being imported.

Subj: Quick question
Date: 3/29/2005
Doc, have a quick question for you... Will the use of Procerin make the growth of hair on other parts of my body grow more and quicker as well? I want the hair on my head to grow but not the hair anywhere else, does this target only the hair on your head? Thanks for your time!

AskDocWeb: No, it doesn't target your hair or cause hair growth. It targets the DHT in your scalp that causes hair loss. The idea is to remove the cause of hair loss so that your natural hair growth can resume.

Subj: Unwanted hair growth
Date: 4/2/2005
Hi there, I have been taking Procerin for about a month now and I haven't noticed any marked improvements. I am 22 and seem to have a lot of hair on my body which started growing when I started loosing it from my head (back, ears, nose). Normally people don't start growing this hair till they are a lot older. What should I do? Can Procerin help me?

AskDocWeb: No, Procerin has no influence on the hair growth on your back, ears, and nose.

Subj: Procerin for receding hairline
Date: 4/9/2005
I purchased it for thinning hair on the front of my head and receding hairline. I just finished 3 month supply with no hair growth at all.

Subj: Questions
Date: 4/13/2005
Is there any and I mean any side effects of using procerin? Maybe sexual or any other? And is this medication as effective in hair loss solutions as it is stated. And how would you compare this with propecia? Thanks,

AskDocWeb Yes, some men had side effects from taking Procerin. See the complete list here.

In comparing the two, we see Procerin as a much safer (and less expensive) alternative to Propecia, although it is less effective. There are serious concerns about the sexual side effects of Propecia. According to the manufacturer, only l.8% of men have decreased libido, less than 1 percent experience impotence and decreased volume of ejaculate. Judging by the feedback about Propecia, we have strong doubts about the accuracy of these numbers.

Subj: Blood in urine
Date: 4/13/2005
I have been taking procerin for less than a week. On or about the third day of taking the pills I noticed what appears to be blood in my urine. Is it possible that this is a side effect of procerin or is it more likely unrelated?

AskDocWeb It is likely to be unrelated to the Procerin but you do need to check it out. Have your urine checked by your physician's office.

Subj: 26 year old
Date: 4/14/2005
I will be 26 this June and I have been losing my hair for about four years now. I first noticed my scalp was very (tight) and as I slept my hair would get irritated. I have blonde hair and it is thin as it is but I am at the point of no return unless I do something. I regret the way I took care of my hair in my youthful carefree years i.e.: gell, hats, drinking and smoking. I believe that, as well as lack of exercise and inevitable male pattern are what caused my hairloss. I tried Nioxin four years ago and I occasionally use it but I don't like the way it makes my scalp and hair feel. I have been shaving my head and listening to my friends and family tell me how I look better with the shaved head but I think it is only cause when I grow my hair out it is clear how I much hair I have lost in time. After researching the alternatives to a life of baldness and low self-esteem I have come to the conclusion that I can do something about it. I'm sure I speak for alot of men when I say that I would rather be bald then have a bad hairpiece or a comb-over but being bald is not attractive either. The other products offer a solution but the cost and side effects make any man wary of calling up and charging it to there card. After reading this forum and taking everything in I think I am a very good candidate for Procerin. Thank you for your efforts to establish true facts and real people using this product. It was the determining factor in making my decision. I was on the verge of ordering another product that shall go unmentioned but it's cost was three times as much and it started with an A. I have before pictures and I plan on taking after pictures. If you plan on doing a yearly follow up of some type with pictures I think that would be very beneficial.

AskDocWeb The problem with using pictures is that they are easily faked. Because it is so easy to edit an image we don't value them as evidence.

Our nurse says she can't figure it out why men have such a problem with baldness. From her point of view, baldness isn't bad, it's the person beneath that's important.

Subj: Steroids and hair loss
Date: 4/15/2005
Hi doc, My name is Steven and I'm 25 years of age. I used to take steroids in high school and now I have lost all my hair on top. Just fuzz is left. If I run my hand over it, it feels like I have a full head of hair with all of the fuzz, but I sure don't have any. Do you think that my age can help in regrowth? Do you think steroids contributed to this issue? Can you recommend any treatments? Provillus? Procerin? Which do you have the best feedback about? Sincerely,
bologna bandana man

AskDocWeb Being 25 years old is a definite plus when it comes to growing hair. Users have given Procerin good feedback but there is none on Provillus yet.

Subj: Hate taking tablets
Date: 4/17/2005
My hairline is receeding. This is the worst thing that could happen too me. Im 21 for flip sake. I know you might think I'm over reacting but it's not acceptable to me. I'm not going bald, far from it. It's just my receeding hairline. To me it's a sign of weakness, a sign of failure. I love having short hair but can't any more as all you see is my ugly forehead. I'm looking in envy at other people's hairline. I hate taking tablets and don't know what to do.

AskDocWeb Losing hair is definitely a sign of failure to keep it, but that's about it. As for it being a sign of weakness, remember that hair loss is caused by that manly hormone, testosterone. If you have too much, you get hair loss.

Subj: Animal ingredients?
Date: 4/17/2005
Does Procerin contains any animal ingredients like gelatin or else?

AskDocWeb No, this was the reason the manufacturer changed from capsules to pills.

Subj: Rash
Date: 4/19/2005
Hi, I have been taking procerin for the past week, too early for results but I woke up this moring with a raised rash about 2inches in diameter at the base of my back and about four/five spots around my back. Could this be a side effect of Procerin? I have never been allegic to anything else b4. P.S. Great site for information.

AskDocWeb Yes it is an allergic reaction. Unless it is caused by something else, you will have to discontinue use of the Procerin.

Subj: Pre-mature balding
Date: 4/20/2005
Please take the time to read this! Many youg men experience severe anxiety/depression from hair loss, especially myself!!!

Just enough to keep us desperate pre-mature balding people to keep dishing out money for any tiny improvement to aide a receding hairline. I'm 26, my hairline has been receding since as early as maybe 19. It was beautiful back then, straight across my forehead, I used to slick straight back. Now, it's a sad sight. I brush it forward trying to cover the spots on both sides of this annoying point that come down in the center, like the letter "m" It's such an energy consumer, and causes major depression. I've tried everything from Rogaine, to Propecia to Nioxin and Minoxodil, except a $5,000 hair transplant procedure. So I've come to the conclusion that it's a business. One that thrives on a Society that emphasis's what looks good, which balding is not. There is no money for a cure, why cure something so people won't keep desperately searching and spending money on products in search of a Miracle.

AskDocWeb We agree with you in part. While it may seem hopeless right now, know that there is a race on to find a cure for hair loss. So many people have unwanted hair loss that whoever comes out with a cure first will make hundreds of millions of dollars while putting a lot of other companies out of business.

Subj: Shedding phase
Date: 4/21/2005
I'm a 20 year old guy who is just starting to notice my thinning, both sides of my family are bald. I started noticing upwards of 10 hairs in my hands after shampooing. I eventually got so worked up that I bought procerin. I've been using it for 3 weeks. In the first 2 weeks I noticed less hair in my hands after washing (2-5 hairs). However, in the next 2 weeks this changed. I had 10 hairs in my hands again, and whenever I brushed through my head I there would always be a hair in my hand. I've concluded that I'm probably in the shedding phase. Considering the few posts that have spoke about the shedding and how using procerin speeds it up and creates a larger time gap for the regrowth stage to overcome, my question is: Should I stop using procerin until my hair is finished with the shedding phase (4weeks), and then continue using after that time, or should I just keep using it and wait the whole thing out?

AskDocWeb We have found that initial shedding is common with several hair loss products. All the products that cause initial shedding say to continue use and wait it out.
