Subj: Best product for losing hair
Date: 3/12/2008
What's the best product out there for losing hair? If any?

AskDocWeb: In our opinion, the best product for hair loss has not yet been discovered.

Subj: Paroxetine
Date: 3/13/2008
I've recently begun using Procerin and am wondering if it is ok to use in conjunction with my prescription medication Paroxetine. This is an SSRI, antidepressant and I take 1 X 20mg tablet each morning for the treatment of social anxiety.

AskDocWeb: The only prescription medications that have been reported to interact with Procerin are those that affect testosterone such as Propecia.

Subj: Something seems to be working
Date: 3/13/2008
I've been taking procerin for about 3 weeks and been using Rogaine for 1.5 months. I see small black hairs starting to form around my temples and front of my hairline. I'm not sure if this is due to rogaine or procerin but something seems to be working.

Subj: I'm 58
Date: 3/15/2008
I'm 58 have having loss on top but still have a little left. If I take this product will all that I loss comeback or not.

AskDocWeb: Since you still have a little left it is likely that you could stimulate the growth of more hair but probably not all that you have lost. We know of no product that could do that.

Subj: Steerates?
Date: 3/20/2008
Hi, Please be aware that Procerin does contain animal products. You mention in your review that it does not. However, the ingredients listed on the bottle note that it contains steerates, which are frequently animal based. I have contacted the company and they wrote back saying that the product may contain animal products and should not be used by those on a vegetarian diet. Thank you.

AskDocWeb: They may have changed the ingredients again because the bottle we have doesn't have it in them. But that does bring to mind what someone told us recently, "Real vegetarians never bit or chew their fingernails."

Subj: My head is thinner
Date: 3/21/2008
I ordered procerin after reading all the reviews here. I got it in February and have been using it for a month now. I also use rogaine and have been for a year. Rogaine has stopped hair loss for me but I want to try and regrow some hair. I don't know if this procerin is supposed to get worse before it gets better but I have noticed the front of my head is thinner now. I'm not sure if I should stick with it or stop taking it. Any advice?

AskDocWeb: You should be aware that the FDA says that "Hair regrowth has not been shown to last longer than 48 weeks of continuous treatment in large clinical trials with minoxidil topical solution 5% for men." (Reference: Drug Facts from the FDA) You are likely to see an increase of hair loss for awhile as the Rogaine has reached the end of its effectiveness. It may be several months before you start to see the effects of Procerin, stick with it.

Subj: Bald spot
Date: 3/29/2008
At 50 years old, I've had a bald spot at the top of my head for about 15 years. Is it realistic to expect hair regrowth from any product?

AskDocWeb: If the spot is completely bald, probably not. If there is a little hair still growing then we would give it a try.

Subj: Procerin does work
Date: 3/31/2008
In two words...The sh*t. Excuse my French but Procerin does actually work. have been using it for about 2 months and little hair are started to spruce out in the corners of my hairline. Luckily, I was proactive about my hair loss and jump on the campaign as soon as I noticed my hairline slowly moving back. I believe a person's hair is beauty and I love my African American hair. I am 21 years old and despite the idea of going bald. Sorry das just me. I got a 3 month supply and am proud of my results. My hair line is coming back to reg. and I'm loving the feeling. I take 1 pill in the morning. 2 at night, and I also take 2 450mg saw palmetto pills in the afternoon, or wen I could. The results are beautiful my fellow hair losing folks. So if u are just like me and notice the hair going, don't waste time get it back!!!..Procerin is the key people. (and a little extra boost from saw palmetto on the side)

Subj: Alternative to Rogaine?
Date: 4/6/2008
I am only 17 and have had a receeding hairline for a few years now, I's an early age. I went to the doctor about my cough a few weeks back and her immediately noticed my hairloss when he walked in the room. He told me to start taking Rogaine, but I really do not want to deal with having to apply it two times a day everyday. And I have also heard that if you stop using Rogaine, hairloss increases. So I found procerin. I am still debating on ordering it because it is only my front hair line that is decreasing. What used to be a small widow's peak is now very large. Will procerin help stop the receeding hairline and possibly help my hair grow back to a normal 17 years old hairline?? Also, I already suffer from a sensitive stomach and have medication for headaches prescribed by my doctor, would procerin increase my headaches and further upset my stomach?

AskDocWeb: Sorry Randall but we can not make any recommendation for under age use. There were 3 reports of headache and 10 reports of stomach discomfort out of about 700 men. Those who reported stomach upset also reported that taking it with food avoids that side effect.

Subj: Decrease in sexual drive
Date: 4/10/2008
I have been using procerin for over 7 moths. I think I am happy because I have new hair growing and I plan to use I read side effects for this product I am a little bit worried. I feel that my concentration has decreased...sexual drive has decreased some as well. I feel a little bit angry at times without reason. Insomnia has been a part of it but not very disturbing. My whole main issue is sexual drive and I have a question about that. Is this something I must quit since I have been experiencin decreas sexual this something temporarly or something that will effect me in the long run? Can I only use the liquid for the scalp only if this pills are not for me and maintain this results? Please email me with any information. I thank you in advance for you help. Best regards,

AskDocWeb: Sorry Toni, we don't have time to send individual replies. If the pills caused your decrease in sexual drive then it is only temporary. But don't overlook the possibility of an unrelated problem. Get a physical to rule out other health problems that may need attention. A decrease in sexual drive is more likely to be caused by overdoing the serum. According to the Mayo Clinic that is one of the side effects of an overdose of minoxidil, which is an active ingredient in the serum.

Subj: 50 year old
Date: 4/14/2008
Hi! I am 50 year old, will Procerin work with me? Regards.

AskDocWeb: Take a look at the results after one year of use. There is a section for those age 45-62 years old.

Subj: Procerin in India
Date: 4/18/2008
Where can I buy procerin in India...I am on propecia & finesteride since 5 months, I live in Pune.

AskDocWeb: You can only order online.

Subj: Thinning up front
Date: 4/29/2008
I have a question. Is procerin only for the crown and rear of the head like rogain? My hair loss is in the front. Not a receding hairline but thinning up front. Would like to know before I try this product.

AskDocWeb: If you are talking about the top front of your scalp, on the hair side of your hairline then yes, many men reported good results in that area.

Subj: I'm still skeptical
Date: 5/4/2008
I just received my 3 month supply of Procerin, I'm in the military currently deployed to Afghanistan, and Ill hand it to Speedwinds they got it to me very quickly... I'm still skeptical, hoping that some of these posts aren't put up by the actual company itself. I noticed my hair line receeding after some comments made by people... and now every time I walk past a mirror I find myself checking my hairline. Where are the pictures at? Id really like to see some of the results... If anyone has any photos my email is XXXX.XXX.

AskDocWeb: Sorry Woody, we don't publish email addresses. Pictures are so easy to edit that we decided not to get into them at all. After all, we aren't trying to prove anything. Our focus here is on side effects, let us know if you have any.

Subj: Concerned about the bald spot
Date: 5/18/2008
I am 34 year old female concerned about the bald spot in front of my head what do you recommend? Should I go see a hair specialist or try an at home product. Please advise & thank you for your services this is awesome!!!

AskDocWeb: Rogaine for women is available over-the-counter at your local drugstore, if that doesn't help then see a dermatologist.

Subj: DHI
Date: 5/31/2008
I'm a 25 year old male. I've been visiting this site since 2005 when I first started procerin. I haven't seen any reviews from anyone using this product for over a year so I figure this review might be helpful to those who have hair loss problem as young as me. My Dad and my three uncles started losing hair in their late teens/early twenties and lost all their hair on the fronts except little patches on the sides by 35. I started using procerin and rogaine at 22 when I first started noticing a receding hairline. There's no break in between of me using both products the past 3 yrs. My hairline has receded for 1-1.5 inch. I can't tell whether the rate of loss is natural (which I more and more believe so) or has been slowed down by these products. I stopped rogaine recently although am still on procerin. Lately, I've thought about using a DHI hair implant procedure in 1-2 years. Given rogaine & procerin costs $600-700 per year, I am debating whether spending $5000 one off on hair implant will make more sense in the long run. Would like to know if anyone used DHI and their experience.

Subj: Topical solution
Date: 6/6/2008
You say 2 posts above that the topical solution contains minidoxil but I cannot find it in the ingredients.

AskDocWeb: It appears that they changed their website again. We can no longer find the ingredients list for the Procerin XT Serum

Subj: Just started on percerin
Date: 6/24/2008
Hello, just started on percerin for 3 weeks... will post result later.

Subj: Seeing better results
Date: 6/28/2008
I'm taking 4 procerin pills a day and I'm seeing better results then b4, but is it safe to take 5 a day?

AskDocWeb: We would be concerned about possible stomach upset. Do you have a strong stomach?
