Subj: High cholesterol?
I have high cholesterol is it advisable to take procerin? I heard it can increase your numbers.
AskDocWeb: It is more likely to have the opposite effect. The main ingredient in Procerin is saw palmetto, which contains a plant sterol called beta-sitosterol. The effect of beta-sitosterol has been studied for over 30 years and has been found to reduce cholesterol levels by blocking the absorption of cholesterol in the intestines by as much as 50%. Although the amount of beta-sitosterol in Procerin is not listed the company that make it also makes a product for those with high cholesterol called Vasacor.
Subj: Where to buy procerin
Where can I buy procerin besides online?
AskDocWeb: As far as we know, Procerin is only available online.
Subj: Washing your hair?
How often should you wash your hair while using Procerin XT Foam?
AskDocWeb: There is no requirement for washing hair so you can wash your hair as often as you like while using Procerin XT Foam.
Subj: Very happy with progress so far
have been using procerin for about 2 months now, bald areas beginning to fill in gradually. Hair has become much thicker at the root with each new growth, as noted by my hairdresser. Have noticed no side effects. Also using a decent shampoo/coditioner/treatment purchased on e-bay "ortiga nettle product" from inca beauty. It improves blood flow and conditions hair always looks great. Very happy with progress so far. Did I mention that I am 56 years old this year.
Hi, I am a medical student. I wanna know more about your product. I am intrested in knowing about if a person stopped taking this procerin after the 3months course, will the hair fall starts again? can you answer this question briefly please?
AskDocWeb: First we have to clear up your erroneous information. Procerin is manufacturer and sold by a company called Speedwinds Nutrition, Inc. located halfway across North America from us. AskDocWeb, Inc. is an independent company that publishes this website for product reviews and health information. None of the products reviewed here are ours.
All of the products for hair loss, Propecia, Procerin, Rogaine, etc., share a common characteristic. In order to keep the benefits, you have to continue using them.
Subj: Viable alternative?
I took propecia for 2 years and had to stop due to sexual side effects. Is Procerin a safe, viable alternative? Or do I have to be concerned about sexual side effects with it as well? Since I experienced side effects with Propecia, does this mean I will have problems with treatments containing Saw Palmetto?
AskDocWeb: That might be if problem if saw palmetto was used in the making of Propecia but there is no indication that Propecia contains any saw palmetto. Based on the feedback from men who use Procerin, we believe this product is a viable alternative.
Subj: Just started
I see that no one has posted anything recently about Procerin...I started using it a week ago and have felt no side effects at all. I haven't seen any results yet - still early- but I will post later to keep everyone informed on the results. I love this site.
Subj: Procerin or Provillus?
I started using Procerin this month. What do you suggest for me to use since I have been reading that Provillus is giving good results, Procerin or Provillus?
AskDocWeb: There is positive feedback on both products so the choice is up to you. Both have a money back guarantee but whatever you chose you have to give it time to work. It takes several months to see results. Currently we favor Provillus over Procerin but not by much.
Subj: Order procerin
I want to order procerin. I am from India. pls guide me.
AskDocWeb: Okay, go to the Procerin website and click on the order now button. Put in your shipping information and then click on the continue button. That will take you to the payment page where you choose which credit card (Discover, Visa, MasterCard, etc.) you want to use. It appears that they only take major credit cards for international orders.
Subj: Thinning on the crown
im a 20 year old guy, my hair thinning is happening in crown, it just started about 6months ago and it is growing quick, i thought this was suppose to happen over time not all at once. its not to noticeable but if looked at it can be seen. should i take this product? im latin and i have always had thick and tons of hair, i still have all my hair else where on my head its just the crown. should i take this product in my situation or should i not?
AskDocWeb: Here are some things to consider when you think about your hair loss. Sudden hair loss can indicate a medical problem so if you haven't had a physical in over a year, you might want to get one. Most conditions respond to treatment better when treatment is started early, before the loss progresses too far. In most cases it is easier to keep what you have than it is to try and get it back after it is gone.
Subj: Procerin and finasteride
I am 25 year old and i have severe hair loss problem. i m loosing hair in crown area. i started using minoxidil 3 months back but i have not noticed any considerable change. i have read about procerin and finasteride. i wanted to know which one should i take and which of these medicine have less side effects and which one will help me regrow my hair.
AskDocWeb: Finasteride (Propecia) is a prescription drug. Procerin is a supplement. Both products have been reported to help regrow hair. Procerin has less chance of causing side effects and it has a money back guarantee.
Subj: Higher pulse rate
Started using procerin 1 in the morning and one in the evening plus the foam. I am two weeks into it and have recently noticed a feeling of my pulse rate increasing. I did a one minute test and in fact my pulse is higher but more significant is the feeling of the higher pulse rate. My blood pressure is also more elevated lately. I am not taking any other meda other then multiple vitamins. Is anyone else expiriencing this. I will try another two weeks and observe my pulse and blood pressure. Does saw palmetto have this effect? Thanks,
AskDocWeb: Saw palmetto does increase the pulse rate of a small percentage of users.
Subj: Procerin in India?
Is procerin available in India. If yes, from where I can get it?
AskDocWeb: As far as we know Procerin is only available on line.
Subj: Average hair loss
What is the average loss of hair?
AskDocWeb: The average loss of hair seems to be 90 hairs a day. For some people normal hair loss ranges from 40 to 100 hairs per day, for others it ranges from 50 to 150, but for most people normal hair loss ranges from 80 to 100 hairs a day.
Subj: Hair loss is hair loss?
you mention that you would not recommend Procerin for a receding hairline? isn't that hair loss? I am confused because I would think that hair loss is hair loss... With that said, I have been taking Procerin (both pills and foam) for 3 months now with no visible results and I only have a receding hairline that is not all that advanced 'YET'!! (which is what I am trying to prevent). For a receding hairline, do you recommend the Procerin pills with rogain foam for my situation? input appreciated.
AskDocWeb: It would sure be easier if all hair loss had a single cause and the growth of hair everywhere on the body responded the same way to medication but the problem is just not that simple. Hair loss has multiple causes and a medication that works well on one part of the body may not work at all on other areas. Add to this the fact that you have several kinds of hair, each with its own unique properties and growth cycle. For example, you have probably never needed to shave the hair on your arms because that hair is different from the hair on the top of your head. That hair is also different from eyelash hair and eyebrow hair. Each type of hair may have a different cause for loss and the skin that grows that hair can have a different response to a medication. With that said, using the foam that contains minoxidil sounds like a good idea for the hairline.
Subj: Just started
I just started on procerin a few days ago. I'm optimistic and hope to see results. No side effects, and I will post again with results.
Subj: Using 4 products
I intend on using 4 products: Procerin Tablets, Nisim shampoo, Nisim Extract, and Rogaine. My question is: is it ok to be using two different topical serums (rogaine and nisim) on your head? An if not, then is it best to drop the nisim extract (but keep the shampoo) since the minodixil in rogaine would be nice to have.
AskDocWeb: The notes we have on minoxidil say not to use it with other topical treatments. And yes, we would keep using the shampoo.
Hi, I am a 28 year old female using Rogain 5%. It is working, but I am still not happy with the result. Is Procerin a better drug? Is it prescription drug? Is it available in Canada? Thanks,
AskDocWeb: Procerin is not a drug. It is an herbal alternative so no prescription is necessary. Any yes you can get Procerin in Canada, they ship worldwide.
