Subj: 1 month - Richard
Date: 6/23/2004
I am only 20 so I still have significant fullness of hair. However, baldness is particularly heredity in my family. My dad went bald in his teens and my brother at 21 is showing thinning. I am also seeing a slight receeding hairline at present. I'll have been using procerin for about a month and have experienced a perceived shedding stage. I have also experienced oil skin and forehead, and large amounts of dandruff - these might be due to something else though. Will keep you posted about further developments.
Richard

Subj: Be honest
Date: 6/23/2004
I'm gonna be honest, I think procerin is working for my hair but I think it has alot of side effects like weight gain and a little paranoia. I dunno though, I think I'm gonna stop taking it if anyone else has experienced weight gain let me know.

Subj: 5 months - Greg
Date: 6/24/2004
I have been a Procerin user now for 5 months. I had begun to thin at age 43 and my crown was developing the "pope spot". After 2 weeks of use I could feel my hair begin to thicken down the center. After 4 weeks I actually could see some new very light hair at the crown. After 6 weeks, I had noticed that my fingernails were growing faster and so was my hair. Before taking Procerin, I would go get my hair cut every 6 weeks, now it is every 4 weeks. Well now after 5 months, my "pope spot" is completely filled back in. I also got my brother who was much more thin to begin Procerin. After 2 months, his hair is coming back strong especially in the back.
I did research on all ingredients in Procerin, and everything I could find pointed to very good herbs that actually help many different areas of the body. I have also noticed that I am more relaxed, sleep better, and have an actual increase in sexual drive.
I have read some controversial statements on other web sites, but I know as a fact that it is working for several people I know. And, as I stated above, the ingredients included in the herbal supplement are helpful for many things. Do some research on each ingredient and see for yourself. I am a Procerin user for life !!!! THANKS PROCERIN!
Greg

Subj: 1 month Gman
Date: 6/25/2004
About 2 months ago I read all the comments and mostly is true, I got 1 month supply and by the end of it, less hairs were falling out .. but I wanted to see if you stop using it the hairs will fall, and they did !! more than before ... so the pills are good for as long as you take them. I'm 25 and stopped taking them because I don't want to be a slave on these pills ..

Subj: Significantly less hairloss
Date: 6/25/2004
I used to take saw palmetto before taking Procerin. The saw palmetto in the beginning caused chest pains as well. Procerin's main active ingredient is saw palmetto. I find taking Procerin with food helps mitigate the side effects. I do believe this product is helping, because I have noticed significantly less hairloss in the shower. However, I have not yet seen substantial regrowth. Also saw palmetto is proven in many studies to block an enzyme that is the precursor of testosterone conversion to DHT.

Subj: 4 months - Ace
Date: 7/1/2004
Sorry I haven't checked in for a while. I am a 42 year old male that has been loosing my hair since my late 20's. I started Procerin 3/6/04. I have noticed a big change in how my hair is starting to look. Not only in the back, but in the front also. So far I am happy with the results I'm getting. I tried a few different products before with no results. Thank you,
Ace

Subj: Started shedding
Date: 7/13/2004
I posted a review about 3 months ago and mentioned that procerin worked for me. It was working when I wrote it but towards the end of my first 3 bottles, my hair started falling. I thought it would stop and ordered another 6 bottles. I has not. I am not sure if this product really works or my brief stop of hair loss was related to something else, and I am looking forward to your study results.
Ilmy

AskDocWeb: Maybe the following post by Kevin will help.

Subj: Explanation for shedding
Date: 7/14/2004
"Shedding" of the hair after taking a hair loss preventive product such as PROCERIN, CAN happen. It can happen with any hair loss preventative product and this is why; Hair grows in three phases, with obviously the third being a "fall-out" or release (Telogen) stage. With only 1/3 of the follicles growing hair at any given time the process must recycle itself to allow growth to previously dormant follicles. When you take a product such as PROCERIN and your hair starts to fall out faster that is NOT necessarily a bad sign. That means in some studies that I actually came across and looked into, that the hair that was SUPPOSED to fall out at the end of it's cycle in the first place falls out at an accelerated rate. This is the scalp's response to the product in order to stimulate "dormant" follicles. Many men discontinue their hair loss prevention products when this starts happening to them when this sign MAY actually be a good thing. I urge you to look into this study. "Shedding" has happened to people using Propecia, Minoxidil, Saw Palmetto and Ginseng scalp cleansing agents (Shampoos/Serums), AND orally taken internal DHT inhibiting supplements ASA "hair vitamins" which is the category that PROCERIN falls into. Why this happens is because again at any given time you are in one of the hair's three phases (Anagen, Catagen, Telogen). Those in the third stage who start taking a DHT inhibitor or using a cleanser are more likely to notice an accelerated loss rate for up to 4 weeks (1 cycle). I again urge anyone interested to look this up for themselves.

Subj: Smoking and hair loss
Date: 7/16/2004
I am 26 year old male and have been losing hair for about a year now. I have used procerin for 5 months now and am very disappointed because I have not seen any regrowth or slow down. My concern is that I am a smoker and does that have anything to do with procerin not working for me?
Richard

AskDocWeb: Most doctors agree that smoking decreases circulation and slows healing in general. We would conclude from this that smoking would reduce your body's ability to assimilate many things; vitamins, minerals and drugs, as well as herbs.

Subj: 3 months - Rocco
Date: 7/18/2004
I've been taking procerin for 3 months, and just got my second 3 month supply. After reading all the negative stuff that people post about Procerin and how it's a fraud and all that kinda got me worried. But then I remembered back to my 4th week taking procerin and when I saw small hairs growing at my temples and decided those people who bash procerin are biased or scared. My hair isn't growing back like crazy but the hairloss has slowed/stopped since taking procerin and hopefully after the 6 month mark I can show some real regrowth. Those small hairs at my temples have stayed the same but maybe things will change once I'm done with the 6 months.

Subj: One week - Derek
Date: 7/22/2004
I am a 29 years old and have a receding and thinning hair line and slight hair loss on the crown. My hair loss started about 4 years ago. I ordered a 3 months supply of Procerin and have been using it for a week; no results yet but at the same time, no side effects to report yet but I will keep posting.
Derek

Subj: 1 month - Vin
Date: 7/29/2004
I'm 18. I started noticing rapid hair loss since about 16, and now it's got to the point where I can see parts of my scalp if I don't comb my hair in a certain way. I'm at the end of my first bottle and have noticed that I'm losing less hair, but not regrowing any, and the hair loss is still a lot. I'll keep you updated as I go into the second month.
Vin

Subj: Procerin study
Date: 8/2/2004
I've been reading over your study of procerin and the people who participated in it. I am slightly skeptical as to if it will work for me but I think I'm going to give it a shot. I have a receding AND thinning hairline (double whammy!) and have had them since I was about 17 going on 18, I'm now 19 going on 20.

I was wondering if maybe you could condense the information for us or arrange some sort of graph or chart so that we could see the different demographics that your participants fall into. Procerin states that it works best for younger men whose hair is still in the growth stages. Is it possible to see how it affects the range of your participants based upon their age, type of hairloss, ethnicity, etc. I'm just trying to get as much concrete info as possible. Is there anyway we can see the before and after pictures of the participants? Thank you for your research and conducting this informal study. Your information has helped a lot in easing my mind. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely,
Travis

AskDocWeb: We have plans to post a chart with that information early next year after we do our final assessment.

Subj: Concerned about being too young
Date: 8/14/2004
I am considering purchasing Procerin but have a few concerns. I am only 18 years old and I am already experiencing slight balding on the crown of my head and think that my hairline might be receding. I have also noticed that my hair is generally thinning out (after a few showers, I remove a pretty good sized clump of hair from the drain). I would like to go ahead and stop or even reverse the balding if at all possible and I figure that it would be best to start when I am young - you know, nip it in the bud! But my concern is whether or not I am too young to start using Procerin. I have gone through puberty and everything, but just feel like I might not be done "developing" (my facial hair isn't fully grown in and I'm not built like my dad yet). I was just wondering if it might be dangerous to take Procerin while I am still "developing into a man" since it messes with your testosterone and stuff. Any advice you could give would be great in helping me decide if I should try Procerin.
Potential Procerin User

AskDocWeb: Our advice is to remember this generalization; when in doubt, it is better to error on the side of safety. Don't take it unless you feel convinced that Procerin will help prevent your hair loss without adverse side effects.

Subj: Change to Procerin?
Date: 8/19/2004
I'm 27 and I think my hairline is slowly thinning in the front. I have been using Rogaine along with Propecia with (I think) decent results but it is hard to tell. I haven't experienced any side effects. IS it worth changing to Procerin?
S

AskDocWeb: It's good to hear you are free of side effects. If money is an issue, Procerin costs less than Propecia. On the other hand, you now have something that seems to be working. Why trade it for an unknown/unproven product?

Subj: 6 month - R
Date: 8/20/2004
I've been using Procerin now for about 6 mo. My hair loss has virtually stopped and I've noticed mild/moderate regrowth in the front and top of my scalp.
R

Subj: Hair loss patches
Date: 8/22/2004
I am an African American and want to try the product. But does it work for hair loss patches else were on the scalp other than the hair line and vortex/crown i.e. on the side?
Junior

AskDocWeb: We haven't had feedback from anyone who has had success with patches of hair loss.

Subj: Available in England?
Date: 8/26/2004
I am 18 and wanted to ask Doc Web are there any side affects and is it true what the other websites say - that all the positive reviews are false? Also can I buy procerin in a pharmacy in England?
Paras

AskDocWeb: First about side effects; some men have reported chest pains. If you try Procerin and experience chest pains, we suggest you discontinue and get a refund. Second about the positive reviews being false; the feedback you read here comes from actual users, which is both positive and negative. We try to avoid talking about other websites. We want to focus on the results of the products, both good and bad so that you can make an informed decision. The only place in England to purchase Procerin, that we know of, will be online somtime in March 2006. We will post the link when the time comes.

Subj: 11 months - Marv
Date: 8/27/2004
Hi I have been taking procerin now for 11 months. I keep my hair short for my work, and also to try and hide the fact that I am going bald, but at this point in time I don't think that procerin really works. I've had no side effects as of yet, so I'm just wondering when the DHT blocker is meant to kick in. Cheers,
Mav

AskDocWeb: If it works for you, it should be working now. We suggest you discontinue use and keep track of your hair loss to see if it increases.
