What am I doing wrong?
I've been on tenuste 75er for two weeks and have no weight loss. I'm on a 1750 calorie diet, 250#, 5'8". I work on my feet all day. Also taking celexa 40mg 1d. Is it normal not to have any weight loss? What am I doing wrong?
AskDocWeb: There is usually some weight loss after using Tenuate for two weeks so it appears to not be working as expected. It may be something you are doing wrong (such as drinking soda) or something you are not doing, such as getting enough exercise. However, your progress or lack of it needs to be evaluated by your doctor as treatments often have to be adjusted.
Hi I have a question. I live in Vancouver, BC. I couldn't find Tenuate here. How can I buy the pill? Thanx.
AskDocWeb: You might call your local pharmacist to find out if it is available there. If not then buying Tenuate from outside your country may be illegal. Stay safe and obey the law.
Tenuate Retatd Gebrauchs
Dear madam or sir I search all over the web to find the translated version of your product Tenuate Retatd Gebrauchsinformation. And unfortunately all my efforts are failed. Now i just concern what is said inside the package? Recently i feel something wrong with Tenuate. My hands and foots get icy cold and i feel light headed.. Apart with these i feel great about loosing appetite. Should i be worried about these effects or these are normal? I will be very grateful if you answer me. Thanks
AskDocWeb: Any side effect that becomes a concern should be discussed with your local physician. If this drug is legal in your country then your local pharmacist should be able to provide you with a copy of the package insert.
I started taking 25mg of tenuate a day 6 days ago but am going to be taking a baseline ultrasound soon to measure bloodflow (for fertility reasons). I am instructed to avoid caffeine 72 hours prior to the test as it can effect bloodflow. Would it be the same for the tenuate? I am assuming I should stop this too?
AskDocWeb: Tenuate stimulates the central nervous system, which increases both the heart rate and blood pressure. In order to get accurate measurements your doctor needs to know about all prescription medication you are taking.
Tenuate ...have just had eye surgery have not taken my tenuate for a week before when can I staet tkking it again only take 2 tablets aday
AskDocWeb: For medical advice please consult with your doctor. This forum is limited to discussing the side effects and effectiveness of Tenuate.
Is Tenuate available in Canada?
Took Tenuate to lose weight and because of high blood sugar,(A1C). This was seven years ago and have not had any problems until now. Time release Tenuate worked well when taken early morn and I lost twenty pounds easily. Do not know where to go to get this again. Worried about blood sugar.
Is Tenuate available in Canada? Toke it before with very little problem and it worked! Do I need to go to Canada to visit a Physician there for a prescription?
AskDocWeb: You might try calling a pharmacy in Canada to see if they carry it. However, if you don't live in Canada then we suggest you check the laws in your area to find out if that would be legal.
Breaking one in half
I have been taking tenuate 75 mg but been breaking one in half and taking half around 4 pm is that ok I have no side affects, sleep well no hypertension.
AskDocWeb: There are a number of things about your current health and health history that needs to be considered before your question can be answered safely. Your doctor is the only one that can do that.
Where can I get tenuate?
Where can I get tenuate prescribe to me, I took it a few years ago and now doctor retired. I live in Canada.
AskDocWeb: It sounds like you need to find a new doctor. Your new doctor should be able to write a prescription if they think the benefits would outweigh the risks. That is, if Tenuate is still available in Canada. We do not keep track of drug laws outside of the U.S.A..
Cause for concern
dear askdocweb I take tenuate retard for tow weeks. I felt my left hand and I feel the icyand I have chet pain and and I was very sensitive... Is this normal? Should I stop taking the pill ? thanks for answer
AskDocWeb: That is not what most patients experience with this medication. You should talk with your doctor anytime a symptom becomes a concern. Your dosage may need to be adjusted or your doctor may choose an alternative treatment.
Recommended by a friend
I want to know when is the proper time to take the pills in a day and since this drug was recommended from one of my friend I want to know can it omit the fatness around the stomach???
AskDocWeb: You will need to consult with your doctor for a prescription before buying Tenuate. This drug is a stimulant and taking it too close to bedtime may result in difficulty getting to sleep. It is only one part of a treatment that also includes changes in diet, exercise, and behavior therapy. If you use only the pills it is unlikely to do anything for your stomach fat.
Every other day?
Can I take this diethylpropion every other day or every two days? I'm in no hurry to lose weight and don't understand I've been prescribed these other than trying to lose 20 lbs due to arthritis. I think I can do this on my own! Suggestions?
AskDocWeb: We suggest you talk to your doctor about the approach you want to try and find out what he or she thinks.
