Subj: Amazing results first time but not now
Date: 9/18/2006
Round 5 years ago my sister and I used to take xenical for almost a year and the results were amasing. Unfortunately we gained what we lost back during the time and we've decided to start on xenical again. We are in our mid 30's and we've been on them now since the last 3 months. We take a capsule a day same as we used to do but this time its seems that our weight does not want to move down. We suffer from water retention especially during our menstrual period, is there any way we can make them work. as far as we know the product is identical to the one we used to buy before same price, same everything. Can you suggest a way to break the ice and start losing the weight gained. Thanks,
Josephine

AskDocWeb: As people get older, it take more exercise to accomplish the same results but - it sounds like Xenical just may not work for you anymore. People sometimes build up a tolerance for a medication and that med loses its effectiveness. Best talk to your doctor about an alternative.

Subj: Oily stools
Date: 9/18/2006
I have been taking xenical and adipex for about a month now went for first doctor visit lost 8 pounds in the first month. I was always thirsty, drank lots of water which I never did before. Have lots of oily stool is that because of the xenical. And dry mouth .. But here its my sec month, and I feel so hungry, should I take more than prescribe or continue taking one a day like I am suppose to? I want to lose the weight not gain some back. I did good the first month my doctor said. But I thought I would have lost more than 8 pounds. I can feel it and I feel good about myself now. Thanks,
Letty

AskDocWeb: Loosing weight slowly is far better than loosing it fast. The faster you lose it the quicker it can come back. If you lose weight slowly, you are more likely to keep it under control. The oily stools are caused by eating foods that contain too much fat. Never take more than prescribed by your doctor.

Subj: Xenical with warfarin?
Date: 9/20/2006
Can I take xenical when I'm taking warfarin?
Sammy

AskDocWeb: According to the Physician's Desk Reference, the drug-drug interaction studies indicate that Xenical had no effect on pharmacokinetics and/or pharmacodynamics of warfarin, alcohol, digoxin, glyburide, nifedipine (extended-release tablets), oral contraceptives, phenytoin, or pravastatin.

Subj: Xenical works
Date: 10/10/2006
I think Xenical is a Godsend! I went from a size 22 to a lovely 16. Staying away from fat is a no-brainer, because, you'll "leak"! (I know it's gross) but, Xenical WORKS and it's worth the $130 a month!

Subj: Disappointed with Zenical
Date: 10/17/2006
I have taken three courses of Zenical to try and lose weight around my middle area. I am extremely disappointed at the nil effect of Zenical and also the wasted cost. I have attended weight watchers before and lost weight consistently. However I am now less active and hence the weight gain due to a severe tendonitis in my left foot. I have to wear a caliper on this foot because I am restricted in my walking routine. I will not be continuing with your product, and am looking at some other method. I have never had a weight problem until my disablement in the foot, and have always been very active, playing up to 4 A grade competitions in tennis weekly. So now it is No tennis, no weight loss and an extremely frustrated customer.

Subj: Great fat blocker
Date: 10/23/2006
I've been using xenical for 2 months and I lost 11 pounds I really like and will continue to use it until I reach my goal. It works for me and I have hypothyroidism and it doesn't make me sick at all. Kudos for who ever thought of this great fat blocker.

Subj: Xenical not working
Date: 10/31/2006
I have recently started using Xenical and having heard some horror stories about the side effects I was a little apprehensive. But I haven't experienced any side effects whatsoever. I don't think the medication is affecting me at all and to prove this last night I deliberately ate a meal very high in fat and NOTHING happened. Is this normal?
Annette

AskDocWeb: No, but that's not to say it won't happen a few hours from now. On the other hand your dosage may need to be adjusted. Talk to your doctor about this or maybe an alternative.

Subj: Regular bowel movements
Date: 11/5/2006
Hi I have been taking Xenical for three months, using a low calorie diet and exercising 1 hour a day. I have lost 14 kilos and feel great. A positive effect for me not only the weight loss but regular bowel movements which I have never had. After years of only passing a bowel motion every eight days it is wonderful. Thanks
Diane

Subj: Xenical nausea
Date: 11/5/2006
I only just started Xenical a day ago and have been nauseous ever since. I haven't gone over my fat allowance. I am retching almost constantly and my stomach is clenched the whole time. I can't sleep, my heart feels like it's racing (I don't have a heart problem that I know of) and I wake up in hot sweats. If this continues I will have to go off it. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Nicole

AskDocWeb: It sounds like your body is reacting terribly to the xenical, consult with your doctor immediately.

Subj: Nothing is happening
Date: 11/8/2006
I started taking xenical yesterday, drank water and took it as directed 3 times a day and nothing is happening. Just wondering if it takes a couple of days to kick in?
Tammy

AskDocWeb: Yes it takes awhile, be patient and continue drinking the water, lots of water.

Subj: Buy Xenical?
Date: 11/9/2006
Where is the best place to buy xencial on line? I don't want to be cheated.
Shana

AskDocWeb: If you don't want to be cheated, do not buy it on-line. There's just no way to safely do that right now.

Subj: Xenical and liver function
Date: 11/15/2006
I took Xenical for about a month only with one main meal. However during my time on it, I noticed I was always dizzy. I went to the doctor to test my blood pressure and did some blood tests. The result was my liver function was quite abnormal. Repeated the tests and three times the tests were more abnormal. I have now stopped the Xenical and the dizziness is gone. I am curious about if the Xenical caused the abnormal liver function tests.
Fernande

AskDocWeb: There is nothing listed that indicates Xenical would elevate your LFT's. About 5% of people experience dizziness when taking Xenical.

Subj: Gallbladder problems
Date: 11/22/2006
I have been taking Xenical for about a week and I read on your site that you should tell your doctor if you have gallbladder problems. I have had my gallbladder removed does this mean I should go back to my doctor and let him know?
Rosslyn

AskDocWeb: Of course, your doctor should know everything about your health history before prescribing xenical. Since yours has been removed it may not be a problem but tell your doctor anyway.

Subj: Phyto shape pills
Date: 12/14/2006
I have heard about phyto shape pills to loss weight and it natural may I know if their is any side effect before I start? If yes, what is the best to be used for weight loss?
Aisha

AskDocWeb: We have a problem with companies that say that they use FDA approved herbs. There is no such thing as FDA approved herbs, they deal with food and drugs, not herbs. If they were located in the USA instead of Malaysia the FDA would probably shut them down.

Subj: Xenical but no change
Date: 12/14/2006
I have a question please: I am using Xenical from 5 days ago and no changes :( even I do not go toilet as people say and no oil is going out from my body. What is wrong? How many days I need to wait to feel change.
Sahar

AskDocWeb: The oily stools are a sign that you are doing something wrong. If you are not overeating fatty foods then you will not have the oily stools.

Subj: Buying Xenical online
Date: 12/19/2006
I just want to say that there is A LOT of fake xenical and buying it online is a BAD idea. I made this mistake trying to avoid the cost of the Dr.'s visit and the Rx. I had bought some Rxs online before with great success but Xenical is a VERY commonly counterfeited drug so WATCH OUT!

Date: 12/22/2006

Subj: PhytoShape pills
Date: 4/3/2007
Hi, I'm using PhytoShape pills, its for loosing weight, and I lost in 2 months 8 kilos, it worked good with me and with some of my family, but some of them were worried because they suffered from some pain on the lest hand (which related to the heart), and I heard that it may leads to colon cancer, and since that day I'm afraid of continuing on the PhytoShape, please just notify me about this product because I had research on the internet about it but the answers were conflicting.. thanx
Fajer from Kuwait

AskDocWeb: In our opinion PhytoShape pills should be removed from the market. There are too many problems both with the product and the company in Malaysian that sells it.
