Heart racing like crazy

I’ve been taking Adipex for 5 and a half months. I recently had a very bad head cold and took a decongestant. I was unaware of the interactions between the two drugs. My heart has been racing like crazy. I saw my doctor and she seemed unconcerned. She told me I can stop taking Adipex to see if that helps. I haven’t taken either drugs in two days but my heart is still racing on and off. How long before they are out of my system? I feel like my doctor has dismissed a dangerous side effect. I’m really uncomfortable and am anxious for my heart rate to normalize.

The half-life of Adipex ranges from 7 to 31 hours. Assuming a seven hour half-life, over 90% of the medication would theoretically be cleared from your system in 28 hours. On the other hand, if your body clears it more slowly then it may take up to six and a half days.
