Curaderm review
Date: 1/10/2016
I have used Curaderm for the last 16 years or so and would not be without it!! I remove the smallest speck or spot in my face which no doctor would bother with(yet) and my face looks flawless. I had an unpleasant experience with a small basal cell in my hairline and its removal was expensive and left me with a scar. Thank God I came across Curaderm a year later. It takes a little time to judge the length of treatment, you will get a very red sire during treatment, but when treatment is discontinued, the healing is swift with not even a mark remaining. A miracle cream no doubt!

Curaderm Treatment Prep Question
Date: 1/16/2016
How thoroughly should the lesion area be prepped before the next application of curaderm? When I use curaderm and cover it with paper tape then remove the paper tape before next application of curaderm, a thin layer of the curaderm perhaps mixed with dead cells is visible usually with a ridge around it. If I gently massage the lesion area with water applying a good antiseptic solution into the lesion area and rinse clean under running water this layer does not necessarily completely come off. What I have noticed is that I can prep massage the area such that a layer is still maintained over the lesion’s original area, or a partial layer is left with some of the raw area exposed or the entire skin-like layer peels off exposing the entire raw area of the of the lesion.
If I keep massaging until the layer completely removes (almost like a layer of skin) peels off and the raw area where the lesion resides is again exposed. Is that the goal in prep cleaning before the next application of curaderm or should some of this layer be allowed to build up to aid in the healing process?
The goal of my question is to find out what should be expected in prepping the area prior to the next application of curaderm. My concern that in too thorough massaging of the area, that some healthy formation of cells may be wiped away or set back in the process. However, if the goal in prepping the area is to get down to the foundational raw area and hit the root of the cancer with the curaderm then it would make sense that any layer forming over the lesion should be removed. Can you help or direct my question to someone who can help? Thanks.

Cloudy white circle
Date: 3/19/2016
I started treatment on a basal cell lesion on the lower half of my leg between knee and ankle on April 4th. I started with the recommended 2x’s a day or every 12 hours. After a few days I thought I’d add a 3rd application. By the 8th my leg became really painful. I’m on my feet a lot as I have a disabled husband. I suffered then thought I’d take an advil which really helped a lot taking the edge off. I decided I must be very sensitive and went back to 2 times a day. When I went to change it at about 11 hours, where I put the BEC5 is a circle of cloudy white. Is that skin growing back? I’m sure it’s too soon to be healing.
I washed well with the cleanser and can kind of massage most of it off. I don’t know what to think. This spot was reddish when I had the biopsy and about the size of 2 pencil erasers side by side. I don’t know if the doc took a big deep biopsy that got most of it? I feel like I should keep treating it. Maybe my skin regenerates quickly and I need to do treatments closer together and just rely on an advil when it becomes too painful? If anyone has any thoughts, I’d appreciate it. I wish there was a BEC5 resource where you could send pics and get advice along the way. Thank you!
Gail

Is this normal?
Date: 8/24/2016
I started using curaderm BEC5 after two biopsy S, one on my right nostril and one on my chin, both can Me back basil cell carcinoma and MOHS surgery is booked for late October. the dermatologist, suspects I will need plastic surgery on my nostril. I started using curaderm July 1. 2016. ON August 16, the chin seemed completely healed! SO I stopped using the cream on my chin. TOday August 24, I see a small (very small) spot coming back, so I resumed treatments..2x per day as always, MY nose has still got a hole but seems to be getting smaller. QUESTION?..Is this normal for a spot to appear completely healed then start back up again? I do not want my doctor to,check it ! HE would simply say it is not working. PLEASE HELP ME SITH THIS

I cannot use tape as the glues give me a rash. So, i just apply topically. The skin sheds pretty quickly.
