Curaderm Bec5 Works
12/27/2012
Curaderm Bec5 Works……no question about it. If you are lucky enough to have a tiny area of BCC or SCC, even better……however, as anyone knows who has done any research, an indicated chimney lesion on the skin is hiding a LARGE area beneath the skin….. So, in using the BEC5, it can be quite painful with each application. That is because it IS WORKING and doing what it is designed to do.

For me, the pain became so unmanageable, that I successfully resorted to taking half an aspirin 20 to 25 minutes before treating the area, which in my case was larger than the circumference of a large potato. The cancerous area is actually still erroding to cover a much larger part of the arm…..so I have to use a LOT more of the product and double the 2 inch micropore tape width.. But it works, if you can tolerate the incredible pain for an hour each time you clean and then apply the cream.

I am in my 9th week. No sign of healing, but PLENTY of peeling off of dead abnormal cell layers. Again, very painful and distressing, and getting expensive, but the alternative of pricey surgery and huge skin grafts is worse…. Cheers and hang in there,

Karen

Grace’s Update
1/5/2013
Update to my posts on 6/2/12 “Treating 7 Spots”,7-11-2012 “Horrified”, 8-8-2012 and 10-9-12 “Grace’s Update”. The scars are fading, but still easily visible. In the future if the choice is between Curaderm or a biopsy & perhaps necessary surgical removal, I think I will take the later. It’s less disfiguring and much much faster and less painful. I will say, the cost of Curaderm is much much less than biopsy & surgery. For those of you with BCC you might want to investigate light treatments (Photodynamic Light Therapy, Blue light) or topical fluorouracil (5-FU). Both are also good treatments for actinic keratoses. I have used 5-FU and it takes a couple of months and your skin looks like ground beef but it’s easier and faster than curaderm and you can do a large area and ferret out AK you didn’t even know you had.

90 days and done?
1/8/2013
I went to my dermatologist for a red “peeling” spot on the tip of my nose. He thought it was actinic keratosis and told me he would surgically remove it. Looking for another option, I saw the write-ups on Curaderm. I tried it and it seemed to work just as directed and healed up after 90 days. (Yes, a long time but the progress/healing followed the exact course as the instructions indicated – so I think/hope it worked. However, my nose seems to be very dry and still peels. Maybe every 3 – 4 days. I knew it would be “red” as indicated (however the redness is lessening), but I thought the peeling would have ended. I am also using Tamanu Oil. Has anyone had this experience? I hope I didn’t waist 90 days? It been about 10 days since it’s healed over and I stopped applying the Curaderm. Any comments are welcomed. Thanks.

90 days and done. I think?

AskDocWeb: It would be helpful to know if you discussed the use of Curaderm with your dermatologist and if your condition was evaluated by the dermatologist after treatment.
Although Tamanu Oil is often used to rejuvenate and heal the skin after a chemical peel there are a few reports that say it actually caused peeling for some people.

Application of curaderm
1/12/2013
I’m confused about the application of curaderm because I dont have any one isolated spot like most people i’m reading about. The entire left side of my face is riddled with spots which are really hard to see. my dermatologist has been freezing them off as they re-appear for about 5 yrs. he suggested that i begin an Effudex treatment (so i wouldnt have to continue with the freezing) and that’s when i began searching for something less aggressive with less side effects. That’s when i found curaderm which although he is supporting, he has no experience with. and so….my question is ‘am i to put the cream all over’? because that’s what i’ve been doing as of 5 days ago. i now look like i’ve been in a boxing match. my eye is almost completely swollen shut altho i’ve been careful not to get too close to it. as well as my cheek….very swollen! i am very concerned as to weather or not i should continue with it. will someone please advise. Thanks.

Terri

AskDocWeb: It is surprising that your dermatologist didn’t caution you to try it on one small spot first. That would give you an idea of what to expect. If your dermatologist is willing to work with you on this then follow his or her advice and get periodic evaluations and feedback.

Dark purple scar
Date: 2/8/2013
I used the product as directed for 2-3 weeks on a spot about as big as 2 pinheads. During this time it was working just as was described. After it healed it left me with a dark purple scar the size of a dime. This was almost a year ago, I thought it would fade but it has not.

AskDocWeb: You will have to check with a dermatologist about that. This forum is limited to discussing the side effects and effectiveness of Curaderm-BEC.

Can I use Curaderm_BEC5?
Date: 3/10/2013
My skin specialist has done a biopsy on my nose and it’s shown as a BCC. The spot was so small that I didn’t even know about it. There is currently no open wound where the biopsy was taken about 10 days ago. I’d like to know if I can apply Curaderm_BEC5 to this spot. I presume from all I’ve read that it will open up and excrete pus until fully healed. kind regards.

Linda

AskDocWeb: If you want to try Curaderm BEC5, we recommend working with a dermatologist for safety sake. Some are more open to experimenting with natural remedies than others so you may have to talk to a few to find one willing to work with you.

Referrals?
Date: 3/25/2013
Could you please give me trusted referrals where I can purchase the Curaderm cream? Is this website providing a trusted distributor? (website removed) Thank you.

Janae

AskDocWeb: We no longer give referrals as that may be viewed as a conflict of interest. The website you mentioned seems to be legitimate as they have been doing business for 15 years without any major complaints but that is no guarantee.

Redness and pus
Date: 3/28/2013
Ooozing redness and pus is this normal 6 days in?

Debra

AskDocWeb: In reviewing the feedback that seems to be the response reported by most people using Curaderm. Keeping a daily diary of your progress may be helpful in evaluating this product and others would certainly appreciate it if you would share that diary. Read more feedback about Curaderm
