Melatonin

Melatonin is not licensed in my country, therefore not available over the counter or on prescription. It is available online and used by a lot of people for jet lag. Will this show in my random urine drug test at work? How long does it stay in urine? Many thanks

AskDocWeb: Melatonin does not show up on urine drug tests for drugs of abuse. The elimination half-life of melatonin is approximately 45 minutes so it should be completely clear from the body within about 10 hours.

Dont want to fail

i am taking a focusformula dimethylaminoethanol in it , vinpocetine, and all the ingredients in focus formula by (an online source) i on paroland dont want to fail any random test falsly

Alcohol in aloe vera gel

Can aloe vera gel to apply to sunburns cause a false positive urine etg test? ingredients say SD Alcohol 40-B (12.2%)as the third ingredient.

AskDocWeb: With an alcohol content of 12.2%, that could easily show up on a urine alcohol EtG test because as you know, alcohol is absorbed through the skin.

Tested for a new hire position

I recently was drug tested for a new hired in position at my job. My test came back positive for cocaine and I am 4 months pregnant and I’ve never even smoked ANY drugs in my life (I’ve never even a tobacco user). What should I do?

AskDocWeb: Since you are now considered guilty until proven innocent you need to get a confirmation test in order to show that the urine test was a false positive. In some situations there may be legal and/or medical consequences if you do not get a confirmation test. It is worth getting even if you are required to pay for the additional testing.

Blood test

I have been on pain mgmt for 3 years now i have a wonderful doctor that truly cares. I take 8 10/325 norco and 3 60mg morphine sulfate er daily also ill take ibuprofen or naproxen OTC as needed or if im running short. On my last 2 urine tests i tested positive for THC I HAVE NOT smoked or ingested pot in over a year. She wants me to take a blood test….im worried even though i know i dont abuse any advice??

AskDocWeb: In most cases getting a blood test will clear up any doubt as to whether or not you have it in your system.

Cialis

I am under going a 2 year drug urine test. Two days ago I had taken Cialis. When I went for my urine test it showed positive for Amph. Why is that so?. This drug was bought legally and not from any under-table counters.

AskDocWeb: Cialis does not show up on a urine drug screen for drugs of abuse. You might check the big list to see if you are using anything else that might be causing a problem.

Vybriid and adderoll

I am taking vybriid and adderoll but took a urine sample and showed positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine why would this be?? Help please

AskDocWeb: Viibryd (Generic Name vilazodone; Pronunciation: vil AZ oh done) is an antidepressant. It is not known to show up on drug tests for drugs of abuse. Your test result likely came from the “adderoll” (Adderall). The generic name for Adderall is mixed Amphetamine Salts and we would expect that to show up.

Newborn drug exposure

My girlfriend just had a baby. the took blood samples and urin samples before my son was born. She has not used any drugs besodes her prescriptions. Hydrocodone and floraset. day after, the baby comes up positive for T.H.C. but her blood and urin does not. NOW the next day, the baby shows up pos. for amphetamine! while she still shows up neg. both urin and blood. How can this be? A friend of her’s i guess took 7 Stacker pills, which at the time we didnt know, and held our child. Can that be a the reason it came up pos. for amphetamines?

AskDocWeb: Sorry James, that does not seem to be a likely explanation. We suggest getting a GC/MS confirmation test on those results.

Ecup drug screen

I took an ibuprofen 800 mg before a drug test nd my results came back positive for thc and they used an escreen ecup for my drug screen is that possible.

AskDocWeb: Yes, it is possible and you need to get additional testing (GC/MS) to clear up that kind of false positive.

Oxyellite pro

Hello I have been taking oxyellite pro a diet pill for weight loss. I recently had to take a pre-employment drug screen (urine) and I stopped taking it for two days because I wasn’t sure if it could cause a false positive? When I took it they had me write down anything I took.. And I did write that I have been taking oxyellite pro.. I do not take anything else including any over the counter medication. So can oxyellite pro cause a positive drug test?

AskDocWeb: Although we have seen antidotal reports about oxyellite pro testing positive for amphetamines we have yet to find anything that confirm such a possibility.

Looking for answers

I am very confused and a little intimidated by my false positive for barbiturates. I am prescribed pegasys ( interferon ) in combination w/ ribaviran because of HCV. Also I take trazodone and Bentyl. I was tested by an ICUP a.d. 10 panel. Before starting pegasys and ribaviran and trazodone it was neg for barbituates and now 5x in the last month it has been positive. No one knows why or has any answers, if you have any info it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

AskDocWeb: The ICup is made by Blue Grass Drug Screen, Inc. See reference 52 for a PDF file that lists 15 pages of substances that might cross-react with their iCup drug test. A positive drug test needs to be verified or eliminated with a confirmation test. That will clear up any doubt and it avoids problems now and in the future. Keep in mind that your medical records follow you for years and you don’t want a false positive drug test result to go unchallenged.
