Before Using Herbs for Medicine
Consult with your doctor before using herbal remedies if you use any medication or drugs including prescription and over-the-counter or non-prescription drugs.
Treating infants and children under 2 years old with any herbal preparation is hazardous.
During Treatment
Adverse reactions are possible with any herb. Seek emergency medical treatment for convulsions, blood in urine, decreased urine flow, swelling of hands and feet, or coma.
Surgery: If you are scheduling surgery, tell your doctor, dentist, or other medical professionals about any herbal treatments you are using.
Consult with your doctor if you use herbal remedies for any medical problem that doesn’t improve in 2 weeks.
