Gain hair on face?

AskDocWeb: That would be considered an “off-label” use and is not recommended. Although it might work the results are unpredictable and possible side effects are unknown.
Unwanted hair growth

Hi Dear, My question is regarding Rogaine. I am a 35 years old woman and my doctor recommend %5 Rogaine, I used it for 34 days and noticed facial hair all over my face, ears, forehead, I am like a monkey??, its been 2 weeks that I stopped but facial hair is long thin and getting worse everyday, they grow and grow even part of my body. Will they fall after certain time, will they get worse and thicker. Please help any one can mail with their comment. Thank you.

AskDocWeb: The unwanted growth of body and facial hair is the main reason why the 5% formula of minoxidil is not recommended for women in our country. To the best of our knowledge that hair stops growing and gradually falls out after discontinuing but that occurs over a period of several months. If you want to get rid of it faster, you may want to consider using something like Vaniqa.
Hereditary problem

Hello Sir, I bought Mintop 5% but when i read there booklet, it says, person who does not have hereditary problem should not be using it. I do not have hereditary problem. Can i still use it? Regards,

AskDocWeb: The product information we have on minoxidil does not contain that statement. It may apply to Mintop but not to other products containing minoxidil.
Hair growth in face

Hi AskDocWeb, I’m 25 year old. I’ve been using Mx5% for the last 3 months after consulting a dermatologist. I have 2 queries: 1- In the area where i apply the lotion, it is very itchy. Is this normal? 2- I’m newly married. Is it fine to continue using the lotion during pregnancy? 3- I apply the lotion in my front scalp. but i notice hair growth in my face. Does this happen? What is the remedy?

AskDocWeb: First off, itching is a common side effect of minoxidil, the active ingredient in Mx5%.
2. The FDA lists minoxidil in Pregnancy Category C: “Animal studies have shown an adverse effect and there are no adequate studies in pregnant women OR no animal studies have been conducted and there are no adequate studies in pregnant women.”
3. The 5% formula of minoxidil is known to produce the growth of unwanted body hair on the face and other areas, which is probably why it is not usually recommended for women.

Sir/Mam… I m using Minoxidil Topical Solution USP 5% since last 2 months but there does not seem any affect on my scalp and my hair are losing day by day. Should I continue or tell me any well solution yo stop hair loss and tell me if u say our hair lose 100 per day as normal then 100×365=36500 in a year and in 3 to 4 year vanish all hair because i have heared that we have hair on scalp around 100000 to 130000 (1 lakh to 1.30 lakh) if this is right then we can be bald in 3 to years, it is possible? PLz tell me reply to my all words…

AskDocWeb: Although it is “possible” to go bald in three years it is unlikely because of the new hair that typically grows in to replace what is lost. Topical minoxidil acts in part as a growth stimulant for the new hair.
Finex 5mg

i am taking only finex 5mg for last 1 month. Will I have some gain or wastage of money? pls tell me.

AskDocWeb: It may be worse than a waste of money for some people. Finex 5mg is not used to treat hair loss in women (or children) partly because of the risk of it causing birth defects.
After 3 months?

If I am stop to using after 3 months mx-5 is there happen hair losses side effect after 3 months?

AskDocWeb: No. If it has no effect after three months then stopping has not been reported to cause extra hair loss as a side effect.
Onion juice?

i have been using minscalp 5% for last 9 month and i am having improvement in my hair growth. Recently i came to know that onion juice is good for hair growth. my query is that while continuing minscalp treatment applying onion juice before bath will have any negative effect on my hair. Thanks in advance.

Should i use minoxidil?

AskDocWeb: Since the average person loses between 50 to 100 hairs a day, losing only 20 a day seems to indicate a very healthy scalp. However, if your overall hair loss is a concern then we suggest getting a medical examination to check for any underlying health issues that might need attention.
Hairjoy 5%?

Hairjoy 5% I used this product from 2 days and i did not find any changes in my hair. So, it is really helpful to me or not i don’t understand please give me some suggestions.

AskDocWeb: The active ingredient in Hairjoy 5% is minoxidil. Progress is measured over a period of months, not days. It may take three to six months to find out if it will be really helpful or not.
Facial hairs
