Heartburn meds

About 10 or so years ago I began to experience heartburn symptoms, when I ate rich food or drank any alcohol. I tried the otc heartburn meds. At first, for a few months they seemed to have a positive affect, but later, they had an adverse effect. They actually increased my heartburn symptoms times 10! Just this month I tried Nexium and after only one week, when I stopped it, again I experienced rebound heartburn. I also had a “Low platelet count” at the while taking it. I threw it out. I am now taking 2 tablespoons of cider vinegar in a cup of water 3 x’s a day and find the results remarkable. I will not take these meds ever again.

Effect on sex drive and blood sugar

I have been on nexium for 15yrs & I am 43 yrs old. I just want to know what is the effect of this medicine on sex drive & blood sugar as I really want to stop using this medicine, if I can get any other solutions will really appreciate Cuz if I don’t take a 20mg nexium in the morning I start to have heart burns after 20hrs.

AskDocWeb: Although loss of libido and impotence have been reported, it is such a small percentage of users that a causal relationship has not been established. Nexium does not appear to have any effect on blood sugar levels.
Lawsuit?

One day woke up feeling sick, lightheaded, blurry vision, muscle pain, and anxiety. was send to emergency room, and everything came back normal. This lasted 13 days during that time I stopped nexum. Once I got better went back on nexum 2 months later the symptoms were back, Dr. sent me for a head m.r.i. all came back normal all blood work normal. I than realized that when I got off nexum I got better and when I got back on it the symptoms returned. I presented this to my doctor and he said he heard that a lot of people were getting ill from using nexum. Heard this from two more doctors.
My medical bills are over $15,000.00 and my out of pocket is $3,000. looking for a good lawyer or join a class action suit against the makers of nexum. Doctors that have patients that are ill and tests show nothing they need to ask them if they are on nexum and if so, get off of it.

Hardening of the arteries

New studies show that nexium may cause hardening of the arteries. I am not taking this anymore. I have had diareah, joint and muscle pain and migrains for years now. I’ve been taking nexium since it first came out. It amazes me that not a single doctor would think that this could be related to side effects of Nexium but I can throw it in google and know in seconds that others are having the same symptoms. The medical community has gone to hell. Too many new drugs to keep up with.

Blood alcohol concentration

I am taken Nexium HP7 and had a four drinks in the space of 4 hours. I was breath tested and my reading was .2195. I had my last drink 3hrs prior to me been tested. I was fine and didn’t feel drunk or unbalanced. Can Nexium HP7 effect your blood alcohol reading?

These are Salbutamol, also known as albuterol, Salmeterol, a beta2-adrenergic receptor agonist, and Budesonide, a steroidal asthma treatment also used for rhinitis, hay fever, allergies, nasal polyposis and Crohn’s disease.
Distressing symptom

My GP insists I take Nexium 20 mg. on account of indications of ulcerations of the stomach. I think it is the nexium which upsets my bowel routine. For up to 6-8 days bowels are quiet and then I experience up to 3 hours of repeated calls to the toilet with the movements becoming increasingly loose and urgent, towards the end with explosive passing of wind.
20 years ago I had 20cm of intestine removed after a diverticular abcess. My GP is impervious to my reports of bowel distress, insists the nexium is necessary. I tried using Iberogast hoping for some settling down but with little change apparent to date after 3 bottles. The last episode kept me on the toilet in spasms from 3a.m. to close on 5a.m. and left me exhausted. I take the nexium last thing at night hoping it will have some time to disperse without interruption by food intake.
Is there any way I can offset this distressing symptom and am I mistaken in blaming nexium. Some time back I stopped taking it and seemed to gain relief but the doctor is pressing that i continue.

Good Nexium review

I swear by Nexium. I take 40 gm of Nexium in the morning and Ranitidine in the evening. I have no trouble sleeping at all due to Barret’s Esophagus. Once a day of Nexium is not enough for me so my doctor prescribed Ranitidine at bedtime. Nexium is a great product.
