ADD and Phentermine
Date: 5/26/2014
I have been taking phentermine for 28 days. I still feel hungry all day and tired. Do you think this medication is working? I have ADD is this why?
Jess
AskDocWeb: Your doctor will have to ask you several questions in order to determine whether or not (or how well) your medication is working. ADD is not known to affect the effectiveness of Phentermine.
How long do side effects last?
Date: 5/30/2014
I took phentermine for 6 days before stopping due to side effects. Most were considered common but I didn’t like that I had a hard time taking full breaths. I can breathe but I have to think about it harder. How long after the last pill will the drug linger and possibly still be affecting me? Anything I can do to speed it up like exercise more? It’s been about 30 hours since the last 30mg pill. Yawning helps, and I still do not have an appetite so I’m inclined to think it must still be affecting me but I want to make sure I’m not ignoring something that won’t go away. I had a similar reaction years ago but to Vicodin.

AskDocWeb: The Half-life of Phentermine ranges from 16 to 31 hours. This is the time it takes for the body to eliminate half of the drug from your system. As a general rule of thumb it takes five half-lives for the body to clear out a drug to the point where it is no longer clinically significant. For Phentermine that ranges from 3 1/3 to 6 ½ days.
Bleeding ulcer

I have a bleeding ulcer, is it ok to continue taking phentermine,

AskDocWeb: In order for your health care provider to do a good job of managing your condition they need to know about all of the medications you are taking. Likewise your health care provider needs to be informed about all medical conditions you have before deciding on a prescription medication. Otherwise you are putting your health at risk.
Success story
Date: 6/3/2014
I have been on phentermine since February 15th 2014, and it Has worked amazing. It helps me get through my day with a whole lot of energy. I have zero cravings all day. I’m at the point where I don’t even want to think of fast food or junk food(snacks). I’ve tried everything and phentermine personally to me is the holy grail! It’s been a life changer! Only bad bad but good thing it has done to me is hurt my wallet haha because I’ve had to get all new clothing!
It is June 3rd 2014 and since starting I’m 45.7lbs down, went from an XL to a large and in down from a 38 waist to depending on style 34 or 33 pants/jeans. Phentermine as a pill itself won’t provide the discipline you to lose the weight you need. As long as you stick with it you won’t be unhappy at all, just keep drinking water haha cause you are going to need it, and avoid all the fast/junk food … And as a side note keep track of what you eat and when. I myself noticed I kept forgetting to eat when I first started taking phentermine because believe it or not that’s how much depending on the person it will suppress your appetite insanely!
As for my daily activities I would recommend also taking B12 and or Lipo-tropic B shots… They work ! I don’t care what anyone says.. All in all I refuse to try any thing else…period! I won’t prolong use of it without taking partial or extended breaks every month or two, obviously until I get to my goal weight. Unfortunately do to my work schedule I’m not as active as I’d like to be but I am a night driver and do a good 55-65 hours a week and the free time I have on the weekends I spend with my family. Yes I know there’s no excuse to not be active blah blah but fortunately my age and good health are on my side and phentermine has helped me through my battle to better health along with a good diet!
Chris
AskDocWeb: Way to go Chris! Having to buy the smaller sizes in new clothes is a sure sign of making great progress.

AskDocWeb: There are other considerations, besides blood pressure, that your doctor will need to talk over with you before deciding if Ambien 10mg would be appropriate for you. Some of the side effects of Ambien may surprise you so might want to read some of the feedback about Ambien. Read more feedback from users.
