How Long After The Last Dose?
Date: 2/6/2017
I’ve been taking phentermine for 3 days! My daughter is 4 months old and I was Breastfeeding and stopped before i took the first pill. She isn’t taking to the formula well having savvier constipation. I want to quit the meds and start pumping for her again. How Long After The Last Dose should I Wait Till My Milk Is Ok For Her To Have Again?

AskDocWeb: Since the mean terminal half-life of phentermine is about 20 hours it takes about 4 days to clear your system. That is, if your elimination system is healthy .

Rash on face
Date: 2/16/2017
I’ve taken phentermine many years ago and had great results and kept it off for many years. Unfortunately I am 45 and planned a big wedding for my daughter, food and wine for the last year and I needed help to kickstart some weight loss. I started taking phentermine 37.5 3 days ago, and I’m noticing a red rash on my face. Looks like a sunburn. Has anyone else experienced this side effect?

Menstrual bleeding
Date: 3/1/2017
I started phen about 2 weeks ago and have lost about 10 pounds. I’m very happy with my energy level, decreased appetite, and results. However…I take birth control pills and skip placebo pills (with doc permission). I never have a period. After about 5 days on phen, I began menstrual bleeding-very heavy-and it hasn’t stopped. Is my body just adjusting? Will this bleeding stop?

Phentermine and anti-depression tablets
Date: 5/1/2017
Why can’t you take these tablets if you are on anti-depression tablets?

Leanne

AskDocWeb: Since both drugs are stimulants using them at the same time would be like taking an overdose of either one, which could be lethal.

Be prepared for horrible side effects
Date: 6/22/2017
I have been taking Phentermine for around 7-8 months & I do have side effects that are very annoying & one that I am upset about. I have headaches (a lot), dry mouth (daily), trouble sleeping (quite often), losing my hair & it’s causing my hair to thin (very upset about that) (probably some others I can’t remember) & my worst side effect is having to CONSTANTLY clear my throat from phlegm (daily….seems nonstop…day & night). I didn’t know that it was from Phentermine till tonight (6-21-17).

I had decided to google my symptom (so glad I did!) because after several Drs. visits, procedures & taking several medicines they couldn’t find any reason for the phlegm. I am going to try taking 1/2 of a pill in the morning & 1/2 in the late afternoon to see if the phlegm issue stops, if it does…..awesome….but if it doesn’t I will be calling my Dr. to have her prescribe something else (not trying 1/2 pill deciced to have her prescribe something else). I love that I have lost weight but with all the negative & horrible side effects it is not worth continuing to take this diet pill. Be prepared for horrible side effects if you decide to take this pill. Don’t be so concerned with losing weight that you overlook/ignore what the side effects are, they do affect your life in a negative way. I hope this helps someone to be more informed about Phentermine.
