Is it dangerous?
11/2/2012
I started taking the 17 mg of Phentermine and noticed when I took it I felt really relaxed and yawned a lot. I did quit taking it because I was not sure if that was good or not. Is it dangerous?

Amber

AskDocWeb: There are risks involved with all prescription drugs. That’s why they are only available by prescription. Remember that any symptom that becomes a concern should be discussed with your doctor.

Phetramine or Phentermine?
11/3/2012
I originally started taking a compounded phetramine to loose weight for my best friends wedding. All in all I was on it regularly for 5 months. I stopped taking the compounded phetramine d/t knowing that you should not be on this medication for a long period of time, which I felt I was. I felt amazing on it etc etc, but now I’ve been having lower abdomen issues, pain in my stomach on a reg basis and also side pain, as if my intestines are messed up. I’ve been off it for a week. Could stomach issues like ulcers, any problem with intestinal?

Jenae

AskDocWeb: Sorry Jenae, this forum is for Phentermine, not Phetramine. You have to be very careful about spelling when talking about drugs, especially when there are so many copycat scams being sold over the Internet. We have no idea what is in your “Phetramine” or what the side effects might be but there are several complaints about that product and the company that sells it. You need to get a doctor’s prescription for the real thing. If you don’t need a prescription to buy Phentermine then you are probably being scammed.

Blood test?
11/3/2012
I asked to be put on phentermine and was given a blood test. I have to go back in a month for my EKG. They didn’t explain to me what the blood test was for and I was wondering if anyone else had to do this. I am diabetic and am hopeful that this wont prohibit me from getting a prescription.

Elisabeth

AskDocWeb: Blood tests test for a verity of conditions that might prohibit the use of this medication or could limit how much it would be safe to take. See the section on the
Report
titled “Conditions you should tell your Doctor about before taking Phentermine.”

Chest pain
11/4/2012
Mild left chest pain and left arm and wrist tingling… I have started taking phentermine as of last Saturday and the past 3 days I have noticed my left arm tingling and very mild chest pain coming and going … I am heathy and never had any issues with my heart.. Should I be worries or this is just a side effect from the drug and my body will get used to it? The first few days I was perfectly fine. Please advise.

Kristina

AskDocWeb: Chest pain is one of the symptoms of a heart problem and should be discussed with your doctor. Likewise tingling in the left arm may also indicate a heart problem. Always talk to your doctor if you experience either of these symptoms.
