Subj: Procerin and drug testing
Date: 12/13/2004
I’ve heard that poppy seeds and Hemp oil can cause a false positive on a drug test. My job does random test and I was wondering if any of the herbs or ingredients in Procerin may have the same effect?
Questioner

AskDocWeb: We have been collecting comments on Procerin for over two years now. So far, no one has mentioned any problem with passing his drug test.

Subj: Results after just 2 weeks
Date: 12/13/2004
I’m writing to say that I am seeing what I believe to be results from taking procerin after 2 weeks.

Subj: Switching from Propecia to Procerin
Date: 12/14/2004
Hi, I have used propecia for over 2 years now, can you tell me is there any possibility that I will lose the hair gained from propecia, if I was to switch procerin. Can you also tell me if the side effect from propecia will vanish from stopping its usage?

Nazza

AskDocWeb: There is no way we can predict how you will respond to switching to Procerin, or even if it will work for you. We do know that it seems to be working for about 70% of the men who try it. According to the manufacturer of Propecia, once you stop taking it you lose the benefits over the following 12 months and all the side effects stop. But they don’t say how long it takes for the side effects to go way.

Subj: Severe rashes and itching with minodoxill
Date: 12/14/2004
I used minodoxill and within one week developed severe rashes and itching, which spread throughout the face. (Is) there an antidote for this allergy? What is the alternative to minodoxil

J

AskDocWeb: It does sound like you have developed an allergic reaction. Oral Benadryl (from your local drugstore) might help with the rash. And try an ice pack on the itchy areas for some relief.

Subj: Chewing Procerin
Date: 12/15/2004
I have been using it for less than one month so far and I think I can see at least one little hair starting to sprout. Maybe it was there already..or something. When I first started using Procerin, my stomach would start to moan, or bubble (trying to find an accurate word for it), and that would be followed by more frequent bowel movements. After about two weeks of that, I started chewing the pills. To my knowledge that’s the best way to absorb a pill anyways. Is there anything wrong with doing it this way? Will I loose some of its effectiveness?

James

AskDocWeb: Any medication that is labeled “time released” needs to be swallowed rather than chewed. If the pill is designed to dissolve slowly over time, and you chew it instead, you release all the ingredients at once, loosing the benefits of having it dissolve slowly. But Procerin is not “time released” so I don’t see any problem with chewing them.

Subj: Is something wrong?
Date: 12/16/2004
Just reading all of the feedback about procerin. I noticed it stopped though in August. I have been on procerin since Feb. 04′. Why have you stopped with all of the feedback. Is something wrong.

Bryan

AskDocWeb: Nothing to be concerned about. I am dividing my time between this (and other Internet projects) and taking care of friends and family. A friend of mine has ALS and is confined to bed or a wheelchair. She just had a feeding tube installed in her stomach because she is getting too weak to chew. Two other friends have cancer and my Dad has heart and kidney problems. There just aren’t enough hours in the day to give all the support I would like to give. Anyway, I’ve hired a part time nurse to help out so I should be able to update a little more frequently.

Subj: Side effects of Procerin with drugs
Date: 12/20/2004
I would like to start taking Procerin. I am researching your product further. I would like to know if you have found any side effects with Procerin and Paxil CR, Allegra or Fiber tabs. Please respond A.S.A.P. I would like to get started soon. Thanks for the web site.

Kelly

AskDocWeb: As of today no one has reported any problems with taking Procerin with prescription drugs.

Subj: Products for women’s hair
Date: 12/21/2004
Please let me know if you have any product for women to grow hair longer and faster.

Dennis

AskDocWeb: Sorry Dennis, we have yet to find a product to make a woman’s hair grow faster and longer. The best women can do is to keep the hair they do have healthy by getting it trimmed every 6 to 8 weeks and use a good conditioner.

Subj: CJ-11 Factor and CJ-9 Factor
Date: 12/21/2004
What are CJ-11 Factor and CJ-9 Factor? I’ve looked these up on the web and they don’t show up! I am worried about buying something with just codes!

Phil

AskDocWeb: Those are the names that the manufacturer chose to call the binder and coating that holds the pill together. They are not active ingredients.

Subj: Is this an allergy?
Date: 12/22/2004
I’ve been taking Procerin now for about 3 weeks and have not had any side effects. Recently my body has broken out into a rash that itches over most of my body with the exception of the face and neck. Do you think this could be caused by one of the ingredients in Procerin or is this coincidental with something else? If I were allergic to Procerin would I have broken out in a rash earlier than now? Thanks,

Mick

AskDocWeb: It appears you are having an allergic reaction to something. If you haven’t added anything new to your diet then discontinue the Procerin and see what happens. About the rash, is it raised or does it feel like sandpaper? There is a difference. If the rash is raised take oral Benadryl to stop the itching.

Subj: Sleeping problems with Procerin?
Date: 12/22/2004
Is it possible that procerin can cause a problem of sleeping?

John

AskDocWeb: There are several kinds of sleeping problems. I’m not sure if you mean feeling sleepy when you shouldn’t or not being able to get to sleep, or stay asleep. In any case, yes, it is possible. I suggest you skip a day and find out if your sleeping problem (if you have one) goes away.

Subj: Dandruff?
Date: 12/22/2004
I am 26 and began to notice significant hair loss about a year ago. So far, I have been taking procerin for about 6 weeks and notice less hair loss. However, my scalp begins to itch more and more and I notice some tiny white tissue coming off my scalp. I wonder if it is normal during this period of taking Procerin.

De

AskDocWeb: Other men have reported the same thing. One explanation is that the sebum that was clogging the pores is being released. You might want to try a shampoo for dandruff.

Subj: On thyroid medicine
Date: 12/25/2004
Random comments… Not sure how much this will help, as its a lot of here and there info.. But I will post anyway.
I personally have a lot of thyroid problems among other things, such as say migraines, depression etc (so besides thyroid issues effecting hair I’m sure the stress from other health problems I have might be adding to it) but anywho… I was losing a lot of my hair and stuff and it started to become thin. Now at some point I started taking thyroid medicine etc which eventually stopped my hair from falling out. This well wasn’t good enough for me, and although my doctor has told me it may even be up to a year before I might grow back my hair, I started to take procerin hoping to speed up the process.
So far I haven’t noticed anything, though it should be noted I’ve only been on it just about 2 months now. And a lot of times I actually just take it twice a day.
Anyway again not sure how much this helps, but it’s really just to say I haven’t experienced any like MORE hair loss to say. I’m not losing hair anymore, but that’s probably just because I’m on the thyroid medicine etc…. Hopefully my hair grows back soon. And again maybe its too early to tell with the procerin.
Although one strange thing, I have noticed my skin is shedding a bit? It’s not a lot, but its deff there.. Though perhaps this is from something else… Has anyone heard of anything like this from taking it? Anyway yea sorry to ramble. LOL and on a closing note was it ever answered on any results from acupuncture I was wondering that myself if that may help me. Thanks

Clayton

AskDocWeb: We haven’t heard from anyone who has tried acupuncture for hair loss. If you try it, let us know.

Subj: Is Procerin a scam?
Date: 12/28/2004
I’ve read that procerin is a scam according to hairlosstalk, com, is this true?

Kevin

AskDocWeb: No, it seems they want to eliminate their competition so you will buy their products. Are you sure you want to take the word of a drug dealer? Beware of the counterfeit Propecia they sell. Propecia is still covered by patent law for at least another 7 years. There is no generic for it.

Subj: Just starting
Date: 12/29/2004
Im 25 year old white male, with a receding hair line and the back of my head is starting to get thin. I just purchased Procerin, and I will keep you up to date.

Peter

AskDocWeb: Thanks Peter.

Subj: Combining products for hair loss
Date: 12/30/2004
Hello, I am a 24 year old male. Have been using propecia with rogain. It helped me a lot, slowed down my hair loss. Now I would like to try out procerin, also I have been taking saw palmetto herb, can I take propecia, procerin, rogain and saw palmetto herb, all together or it will be too much?? please let me know!

Saimon

AskDocWeb: You should be okay with using them together. The only caution we have would be to limit the total saw palmetto to 3000mg. Using more than that would greatly increase the chances of side effects.

Subj: Using Avacor with Procerin
Date: 12/31/2004
I have a questions about using Procerin with Avacor. I noticed that some hair loss has stopped with Avacor but not completely convinced with the product and figure to give this a try. Any side effects with using those two products?

rj27

AskDocWeb: None, however you could replace the Avacor with Rogaine for a lot less money and get the same affect. Read more feedback about Procerin
