Subj: Good results
Date: 3/16/2006
I’ve been taking Procerin for the last 45 days with good results. Given that I am thinking about having a baby, I wonder what scientific basis you have to affirm in one of your previous comments that “Procerin does not cause any fetal abnormalities”. Could you please explain? Thanks,

Gilbert

AskDocWeb: The complete comment we made was, “Procerin does not cause any fetal abnormalities such as those with Propecia.” We were contrasting the difference between the two hair loss products, Procerin and Propecia. Where Propecia has been proven to cause fetal abnormalities (the manufacturer admits this), there are zero reports of Procerin doing that. That is why you need a prescription to buy Propecia (a drug) but not Procerin, the safer of the two products.

What would you recommend using just Procerin or procerin and Advecia? I’m 19 year old I started losing hair since I was 16. I started taking procerin 2 days ago, but I would like to know if it would work better using both. Also I don’t know if its true but I’m a real stressful person, does that make my hair loss?

Luis

AskDocWeb: Stress will definitely cause hair loss as will the lack of vitamins. We’ve had several reports of men successfully using Procerin together with Advecia but you may not need both. You may find that one or the other is all you need.

Subj: Procerin or Provillus?
Date: 3/16/2006
I have been reading many websites about hairloss researches. I appreciate your effort of putting information together. However I came across another product which is exactly the same as Procerin, called Provillus. Doc, is it a scam or they are the same company? I am sure many people have the same question. Thanks.

DH

AskDocWeb: It appears that Provillus is a copycat product of Procerin however, Procerin is about 20% cheaper than Provillus. They are two different businesses.

Subj: Procerin with Saini
Date: 3/16/2006
I’ve been taking Procerin for about 2 weeks. I haven’t noticed any results and I’m not expecting any this early in the game. Judging by this feedback column (which I only discovered after I made my order) there seems to be a whole lot more in the “cons” section than the pros. That includes: shedding (permanent? we don’t know), chest pains, heart palpitations, kidney pain, and decreased sexual desire (although only a few cases, so far as I read.) And on the pros side, not seeing that much positive feedback, and when there is, it’s usually like “well….I’m ALMOST certain that I might not be losing hair anymore. I think”. Not really the most convincing evidence. I did want to let the readers here know that I’ve been trying an herbal conditioner made by a company called Saini. It’s thickened the hair in the front and top a good deal after three months, but not the back (crown) area so much. So I’ve decided to try Procerin and see if it can cover the back area while the Saini herb works for the front and top. I’ll keep you guys posted with my results, but I thought some of the readers might like to know of my success so far with the other one. Thanks,

-Trey

AskDocWeb: Thanks Trey. About the Saini, watch out for companies that say their product gives permanent results. If true, this product from India would be the only one in the world, which would make it big news, and it is not.

Subj: Procerin for women?
Date: 3/16/2006
Can women take Procerin for men while taking HRT Premarin? Will it make me sick to my stomach?

Juanit
AskDocWeb: It is not possible to tell ahead of time if it will upset your stomach or not. Those who have reported stomach upset have also reported that taking it with food avoids that side effect. The only products we found that interfere with Premarin are as follows:

  • Carbamazepine
  • Clarithromycin
  • Erythromycin
  • Grapefruit juice
  • Itraconazole
  • Ketoconazole
  • Phenobarbital
  • Rifampin
  • Ritonavir
  • St. John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum)

Please do not give my email address to anyone. The question I have is, does sexual activity attribute to DHT type of hair loss? How does testosterone affect and cause hair loss? Thank you for your reply…

Dawn

AskDocWeb: No, sexual activity has no bearing on hair loss, if it did, most people would be bald. Testosterone is converted into something called DHT, which is thought to be the leading cause of hair loss in men. In women, the leading cause of hair loss is thought to be changes in their hormone levels. In both cases there are also other causes of hair loss.

Subj: Provillus
Date: 3/18/2006
I’ve heard good things about Provillus capsules, but how do they compare to the other similar treatments listed here, such as Procerin?

Mick

AskDocWeb: Provillus seems to be an expensive copycat of Procerin.

Subj: Heart rate?
Date: 3/18/2006
I have been using Procerin for approximately 3 weeks. I do not know if there has been any substantial regrowth yet. However, I have noticed that my heart rate now stays elevated long after working out. I am 43 and in good shape. Is there any information regarding elevation of heart rate?

Earl

AskDocWeb: Not that we have found, you are the first to bring up this possibility.

Subj: Confused bald guy
Date: 3/19/2006
Hi, I just have one quick question as I am getting conflicting information from this website. Several people have asked about hair loss in the frontal and temple regions of their head and you said procerin, unfortunately will not work for the temple areas. The Procerin website says the complete opposite. I am a 24 y/o male, my hair grows thick and at a ridiculous pace but it is receding slowly in the temple region. So my question is who’s right? AskDocWeb or the website? Also I have just bought a 3 month supply. I haven’t gotten it yet but I still shave my head, can that get in the way of the procerin? Please advise…Thanks,

Confused bald guy

AskDocWeb: Shaving your head will not affect how Procerin works. And we apologize about the confusion. In an effort to get caught up on the posting we hired some help with editing. Unfortunately they were not aware of the success that has been reported with hairlines. Hope that clears things up.

Subj: Encouraging results
Date: 3/19/2006
Dear fellow hair seekers, I’m a 34 year old Hispanic male who has been losing hair gradually in the frontal area and on top. I started using procerin approx a month ago. At the time I started using, I had lost about half the density in front/top and back. I have to say that it works. I kept it a secret from the wife until she made a comment the other day. She said “hey, you’re looking younger. Your hair is darker” (I’m sure she meant more dense)”are you doing anything to your hair?” The first thing I noticed is an improvement in the quality of existing hair; much thicker. I am now starting to notice some growth all around. I am excited about the product after using rogaine for years. I have to say that since I started using procerin I have not stopped using rogaine. Also in all fairness, I still had a good portion of my hair, which is the ideal condition for the product. Shortly after I started using Procerin, I visited one of Bosley’s offices for a consultation, and they recommended a solution which made all the sense in the world from a scientific standpoint, but at approx. $10,000. I think for now I will hold off on the expense and see where Procerin takes me. Anyways, that’s it peeps. I’m seeing encouraging results, and best of luck to you all.

Subj: Fine white hairs
Date: 3/20/2006
I have been balding steadily since I was 20. Now I am 25. Last year I started propecia with some improvement. I see a lot of fine white hairs but they are taking their time. Will Procerin help or perhaps minoxidil? Can you even mix Minoxidil and Propecia? I would appreciate any suggestions and info you have.

Bryan

AskDocWeb: Yes you can use minoxidil with either Procerin or Propecia, others have with good results doing that.

I have purchased procerin for my son who is 17 and his hair is thinning. I am afraid that the product might be unsafe and would not want him to take it if there was any doubt. Can you advise please?

Mary

AskDocWeb: Procerin is all natural and shouldn’t be a problem for your son to use, as long as he doesn’t have any current medical conditions. If he is under a medical doctor’s care for any problem, discuss this with his doctor.

Subj: So far so good
Date: 3/22/2006
I just started 2 weeks ago, I’m 35. So far I feel fine taking it and noticed a little result. I do take 2 at night and do forget taking it in the morning. I have been thinning since early 20’s. I ran into this website and thought to let others know of what I think so far.

Subj: Procerin Xt
Date: 3/22/2006
I have been taking both; the procerinxt and procerin pills. I noticed that my scalp is peeling and sensitive. I’ve been taking the product for 2.5 weeks now. Is this going to continue or should I change the dosage for the procerinxt?

Joe

AskDocWeb: You’ll have to ask the manufacturer as we have no experience with the new Xt serum. Please let us know what you find out.

Subj: Shedding phase?
Date: 3/23/2006
Hello, I am a 23 year old male and have had a steady receding hairline. As of recently, my hairline has been receding dramatically and am also losing hair throughout my scalp. I was wondering whether this would be characterized as the “shedding phase” and if so, how long would it last? Also, if I were to take Procerin, would this phase be prolonged and for how long? Would you recommend me taking Procerin?

John

AskDocWeb: As it is used here the term “shedding phase” refers to losing hair at a faster rate after beginning use of a hair loss product and it may lasts 3-4 weeks. It does not refer to your typical hair loss if you are not using a hair loss product. And yes, we believe that procerin is worth trying. Read more feedback about Procerin.
