Subj: Itching all over
Date: 3/23/2006
Hello, my husband started taking Procerin about 8 days ago. He is itching all over, but very, if any, small bumbs do I see. Should he stop taking this? Thank you

‘Katie

AskDocWeb: Sounds like he may be having an allergic reaction in which case it will only get worse, sorry.

Subj: Multiple hair loss products
Date: 3/24/2006
I’ve been on hair genesis for around 4 months now, and my hair looks thicker on top. It looks as if it’s standing up but then I also noticed it doesn’t grow new hair. I only use the shampoo and the softgels but not the serum. The serum has this odor to do, similar to the smell of an old man. I have ordered a 3 month supply of procerin and wonder if it will work wonders. Any comments about procerin or HairGenesis?

Hawaii

AskDocWeb: We’ve said it before but once more, if you use more than one hair loss product at a time, how do you know which one works and which one doesn’t? Just pick one and give it six months. During that time you can do research on which one to try next in case the one you picked doesn’t work. Then come back and share your results with the rest of us.

Answer update 8/19/06: HairGenesis is not recommended.

Subj: Is Procerin vegetarian safe?
Date: 3/25/2006
Is this product suitable for vegetarians, if this product is a capsule please consider the actual capsule containing the procerin.

Student

AskDocWeb: Yes, Procerin is vegetarian safe. The manufacturer changed from capsules to tablets to eliminate any possible problem for vegetarians.

Subj: Contraindications?
Date: 3/26/2006
Hello, I’m a 30-old male who is considering using Procerin, since my hair loss has been significant for years now. I like that Procerin seems to be nontoxic and based on natural ingredients, but I’m concerned about the lack of scientific tests. E.g. have there been any cases of trouble with medicine and Procerin – contraindications? Regaining hair is great, but not at the cost of your health – if necessary medicine cannot be taken because you use Procerin.

Jakob

AskDocWeb: The only contraindication we could find was if you are sensitive to saw palmetto which seems to be rare. To date, there have been no reports of problems with using Procerin with any medicine.

Subj: Hair growth?
Date: 3/27/2006
I was just wondering if taking Procerin would grow hair in other places than your head? I’m sort of a hairy guy and the last thing I want is to take Procerin and make it grow longer.

Nick

AskDocWeb: No, it only helps grow hair on your head.

Subj: Steroids and Procerin?
Date: 3/28/2006
I have in the past, and plan to again, take a cycle of Trenbolone Acetate, a bodybuilding steroid that can have adverse effects on baldness. Could Procerin inhibit these affects without interfering with the physical benefits of using the steroid?

Jake

AskDocWeb: Procerin is not likely to inhibit the effect any steroid but we don’t know if it would help with hair loss in such a situation or not. If you try it, share your results with others here.

Subj: Surprised by regrowth
Date: 3/28/2006
I am 51. Frontal, top and crown thin to bald. Very few healthy hairs at first and no fine fuzzy hairs anywhere period. Now at 45 days with program nearly all areas have new regrowth. Mostly 1/16 to 1/8 inch now. This is about 1/4 speed of the 50 or so healthy hair population at start. Existing hair stopped falling out to a rate that is acceptable and is heavier quality now. To this point I am surprised to have any regrowth, will continue using program and examine again at 90 days.

Subj: Responses
Date: 3/31/2006
Hi, I just started Procerin and I am wondering if you are still posting responses and comments. I see the last post was in January. Just wanted to know if we can expect to see more results and commentary going forward. I’d like to share my progress (which I hope actually happens) as well. Thanks…

Jon

AskDocWeb: Yes, we would be happy to hear your results, it just takes awhile to get them posted.

Subj: Going with Procerin
Date: 3/31/2006
I am 22 years old. I have had a constant shedding of hair since 17. I am not yet bald but my hair line has receded and my scalp could be seen through. I have read reviews about procerin and propecia. Propecia is said to be FDA approved but has sexual side effects. I am planning to go with procerin. I will let you know if there are improvements.

Subj: Small baby hairs
Date: 4/1/2006
I have used Procerin for approximately 2 months. I believe that there are small baby hairs appearing where the hairline has receded but I believe it is too early to make a meaningful judgment. Given the apparent soundness of the product from a health perspective, I will continue its use and post further results.

Subj: No results yet
Date: 4/1/2006
I’ve been taking procerin pills and the drops for 17 days already with no results, I won’t give up since some people take up to 3 months. I will keep posted to see how it goes.

Luis

AskDocWeb: You might read what the recommended time is for Propecia to take affect. The manufacturer says to give it a year.

Subj: Procerin for women?
Date: 4/1/2006
Hello, Do you have any positive results for Procerin working for women’s hair loss??

Beth

AskDocWeb: A few have reported success with procerin, but we would like to hear from more before making a recommendation.

Is it okay to take Procerin with Propecia AND rogaine AND Advecia?
Joel

AskDocWeb: No, that sounds like a bad idea. The more products you take for hair loss (or any problem) the higher the chances of side effects and you would have no way of knowing which product caused a problem.

Subj: Three month results
Date: 4/2/2006
I am 39 years old and have used Procerin for about three months. Results have been fair to good, with hair loss seemingly halted and some (modest) regrowth. I have noticed, though, a modest decrease in sex drive as a side effect. Will update more after 6 months.

Subj: Synthroid and Procerin
Date: 4/2/2006
I am considering trying Procerin, but I am currently taking Synthroid for a hypothyroid condition. Is there any danger of interaction between Synthroid and Procerin?

Ron

AskDocWeb: None that we’ve been able to discover and no problems have been reported.

Subj: A few questions
Date: 4/3/2006
-For the guys that used procerin and eventually decided to stop: have you noticed an even greater increase in hairloss since you have stopped use?

-For AskDocWeb: were the subjects in your study JUST using procerin? Were any coupling their treatment with other drugs/treatments/methods?

-It’s been over a year since you’ve released your study. How are your subjects doing now?

dc

AskDocWeb: Only men who were using a single hair loss product (Procerin) were included in the study. A long-term follow up may be a good ides, thanks, we’ll look in to doing one when we have time.

Subj: Ingredients in Procerin
Date: 4/4/2006
I am 47, was on Propecia for years and was pretty happy with the results, however I wanted to try something more natural, with less libido side effects.

Procerin seems to really work, been on it for two months and my hair loss has really almost stopped.

A couple of questions, most discussions, articles about Saw Palmetto recommend that it contains a minimum of 45% fatty acids, it is not the berry that is the active, effective ingredient. The label only states Berries. Do you know the specific make up of their Saw Palmetto? Also, 1500 mg seems pretty high.

Jerry

AskDocWeb: The exact makeup of their formula is something that competitors would like to know so they are not likely to release that information. We know that saw palmetto is used in doses up to 3000mg in some medical applications. That is twice the amount that is in Procerin.

Subj: After 2 weeks with pills and serum
Date: 4/4/2006
I’ve been using Procerin for two weeks and have followed the instructions closely. I called the company to ask a live person about some concerns I had and could only get a person who was more of an order taker for ordering the product. Even though I could never get anyone on the phone to answer questions I had…I still purchased the product. First, the product is messy and is very difficult to rub in without making the rest of your hair wet and greasy. They also say to wait ten seconds to allow the product to dry…It takes much longer for the product to dry on your head.

I have not had any difficulties with taking the pills. I never had stomach aches or any bathroom related issues as far as using the toilet more often. However, I have had a constant dull pain in my head and only really in the areas where I applied the serum. The headache is constant and I believe it is directly related to the product. It started after the second day of application and did not go away until I skipped a day during the second week. My question is….has there been any evidence of this with past users or test studies that explain why this may be happening?

Anthony-

AskDocWeb: There is no evidence of that with anyone else but then the serum is still a new product. Thanks for sharing your feedback about it, we need more – anyone else?

Subj: Alcohol and Procerin
Date: 4/5/2006
How about procerin and above average drinking? Thank you,

Mojo

AskDocWeb: Procerin is not affected by alcohol but the above average consumption of alcohol can become a problem.

Subj: Body hair?
Date: 4/6/2006
Does the use of procerin have any affect on the growth of body hair. Backs and arms. Not sure if DHT keeps hair from growing in areas it should not.

Brian

AskDocWeb: No, Procerin only grows hair on the crown of the head, it won’t make your chest hairier (or back/arms etc.). Read more feedback about Procerin. Procerin Report 27 28 29Page 30 31 32 33Last Page 80
