Subj: Procerin and vitamins
Date: 9/26/2006
I was wondering if it was ok to use procerin in conjunction with multiple vitamin tablets containing b-6 and b-12 etc… or does using procerin already provide those vitamins and if not would using procerin and the vitamins together cause any side effects?
Omar
AskDocWeb: You can take multi-vitamins while using Procerin. Your body needs many more vitamins than just the ones Procerin.
Subj: Bald person
Date: 9/27/2006
Will procerin help a person who has been completely bald for a longtime?
Jason
AskDocWeb: There were no bald men in our study so we can’t say for sure but probably not, unless of course you’ve been shaving your head.
Subj: Procerin works
Date: 9/27/2006
I’ve used the caps and the syrum for one month and my hair is growing and is thicker and I really can’t believe it but it works! Well done whoever discovered it!

Subj: Scalpmed ads
Date: 9/27/2006
I see that you have advertisements on your web site for Scalpmed and you have it on your Scam list…why?
Jason
AskDocWeb: In order to pay the bills we put Google ads on the right hand side of some pages. That’s the only place you could have seen an ad for Scalpmed. And Google chooses what ads show there, not us.
Subj: Saw Palmetto
Date: 9/28/2006
Hi all, Is there a safe and unsafe dosage for Saw Palmetto?
Dave
AskDocWeb: Yes, if you take too much of anything, it’s not good for you. We would limit the total saw palmetto to 3000mg. Using more than that would increase the chances of an upset stomach.
Subj: Might be paranoia
Date: 9/29/2006
I noticed a while ago that I could see more of my scalp than I used to, my hair has always been thick but in recent years it seems a lot finer, however, this might just be paranoia. I say this because if I part my hair at the sides, back or on top it looks no different, only as the hair is longer on top does it look a bit thinner in comparison. There is definitely no receding but I started taking Procerin just over 2 months ago and haven’t noticed any difference, how can you really tell as I hear your hair changes every 7 years or so, am I just wasting money? When my hair is longish, it always comes out in the shower. Is there any way to tell for sure as I’d like to stop it now if it is on the way?
Simon
AskDocWeb: The only way to tell for sure if it is working or not is to discontinue use and then keep track of your daily hair loss. If your hair loss increases dramatically then you would know it was working and could start using it again. To be accurate, you would have to quantify the results and keep a record of your daily hair loss. One way to do that is sticking a foot long strip of tape across your pillow each morning and count the number of hairs stuck to the tape. Use a calendar by your bed to record the count.
Subj: Determined
Date: 10/3/2006
I am 35 years old and I am at the end of my second month taking Procerin. Unfortunately, I have yet to notice any changes. I bought a year’s supply and I am determined to keep it up until I start growing new hair. Wish me luck!
Chris
AskDocWeb: Good luck Chris. Be sure to keep us posted on your results each month.
Subj: Procerin with Propecia?
Date: 10/6/2006
I just stared taking propecia, I was wondering since I read that Procerin works different spots, if it was wise to take that as well. Also in the study did you have any participants taking both.
Matthew
AskDocWeb: No, we recommend using one or the other but not both. Everyone in our study was using only the Procerin pills. The new study on Advecia has the same criteria, it’s for those willing to try something new as their sole hair loss product.
Subj: After 2 months of Procerin
Date: 10/7/2006
I’ve been trying Procerin for about 2 months now – hair appears thicker and stronger, but I don’t notice any stopping of hairloss at the temples, let alone regrowth. I am taking both the serum and pills. I experienced the same thing as the other guy mentioned – one serum was a thickish yellow, the second bottle was a thin, white solution with a slight burning alcohol sensation to it. I found the serum made my hair oily so I only apply it at night. I take one pill in the morning and two at night as per instructions. I bought 6 months supply recently so I’ll be taking it for 9 months altogether. I’ll keep everyone posted as to how it’s going.

Subj: One year of Procerin
Date: 10/9/2006
I have added to this forum in the past and feel I should continue. I have been using procerin pills for over a year now and the XT for almost six months. Ready to order another six month supply of the pills and XT. As others mention, when I first started with the XT I did lose some hair daily for about two weeks or so. It then stopped and after awhile I noticed the hair on top of my head getting fuller once again. Quite honestly I don’t know if using both the pills and XT is better but I prefer to have hair so until the budget doesn’t permit both I’ll continue on. I did notice that some bottles of XT appear to be darker and cloudier then others. I also experience a slight burning with the XT but not every day. I’ll have to pay better attention to this and also note if it is from a clearer or a cloudier bottle. Will report in a few months on that issue. Over all, a thumbs up for procerin.

Subj: Propecia shedding
Date: 10/10/2006
Hello, I am 25 SWM and have been taking propecia for 5 years. I recently have been loosing a good deal of hair each time I shower. This is a new occurrence for me, as propecia has worked well at maintaining my hair and even causing some new growth. My question is, is it normal to shed every so often, even if on propecia?
Joey
AskDocWeb: It seems that some people go through a period of shedding when first starting to use Propecia but that should not happen once your body becomes adjusted to the drug. It sounds like you may be developing a tolerance and if that’s the case then it isn’t going to work for you anymore.
Subj: Hair Club for men and women
Date: 10/10/2006
HI, I’m 28 years old. I have hair loss for past two years. I was with Hair Club for men and women for a year. Their main treatment is with Minoxidil 5% and EXT shampoos. I stopped using minoxidil for about 3 months and switch to KEVIS program. I have experienced strong shedding. Thinking to try procerin. How that’s gone work w/Kevis lotion? Should I start use Minoxidil again? Appreciate you advise.
Steev
AskDocWeb: Here is the problem with Minoxidil. According to Drug Facts from the FDA “Hair regrowth has not been shown to last longer than 48 weeks of continuous treatment in large clinical trials with minoxidil topical solution 5% for men.”
Subj: KEVIS lotion
Date: 10/11/2006
Hi, I’m using Minoxidil and KEVIS lotion as it now. Is it safe to combine it with procerin? Thanks,
Steev
AskDocWeb: Using Minoxidil and Procerin together is okay but, the only two reports on Kevis so far were both negative. One said it sucks and the other said it was a total waste of money.
Subj: Baby hairs growing
Date: 10/12/2006
I’m 20, been taking the pills for 5 months, serum for 2 months. I notice little baby hairs growing where my hairline used to be, but how noticeable they are depends on what angle I tilt my head in the mirror. I’ve shaved my head, and when it grows back a few random hairs seem to sprout longer/healthier than the rest so it makes me think that it’s working. Also, the baby hairs tend to fall to the right even though my hair’s part falls naturally to the left. So I will keep taking Procerin and hope that those little baby hairs eventually get strong enough to notice. I’d say to any freaked out teenager, Procerin is worth a try.

Subj: Shedding
Date: 10/19/2006
hi there I posted on this site before but have not had a response. I just wanted to know if the shedding phase is common after 6 months use of procerin. I am on my 7 month pills and would like to know if this shedding will stop and regrowth will begin soon. Thank you,
Haleem
AskDocWeb: Bad news, the shedding phase doesn’t usually start that long after beginning Procerin. It sounds like it may have stopped working for you. That’s called building up a tolerance and it’s a possibility with any hair loss product, Propecia, Minoxidil, whatever. It doesn’t happen with everyone and there is no way to know ahead of time if it will happen to you or not.
Subj: Drug interaction?
Date: 10/20/2006
Your website states that Propecia is safe to use with Procerin. However, upon filling my Propecia prescription the drug interaction section states that Propecia can interact with saw palmetto. Since Procerin contains saw palmetto are they really safe to use together?
Shawn
AskDocWeb: At first we thought you were talking about the patient information on the package insert but it doesn’t say that. Thinking that new information could have been released we checked with the FDA, Medline, the Physician’s Desk Reference and several other sources but couldn’t find a source that made that claim. Over two million people use saw palmetto and if a new study has raised concern then we want to let people know about it. Please be more specific as to the source of your information.
Subj: Concerned about shedding
Date: 10/21/2006
Procerin Study I found your site and read about 30 of the 38 pages of feedback on this product. My main concern is with the “shedding”. I am 32 and noticed my hair getting thin about a year ago. If I am slightly thin (have hair but can see scalp), will the shedding process make me completely bald before new hair grows? If I do shed, is there a chance that new hair will not grow back? I do not want to risk losing what hair I have left. I had my head shaved in the service and I do not make a good-looking bald man. I want, no need, to do something quick and this seems to be the best product.
Wes
AskDocWeb: Only one out of five users had shedding and no one reported going bald. In all cases the effects were temporary.
Subj: Started using Procerin
Date: 10/29/2006
Started using the product 3 weeks ago and I’ve noticed a change in loss of hair, but I might have waited to long to start. I sure hope to see some new growth within the next couple of months.
Ken
