Subj: Took your advice
Date: 2/14/2007
I took your advice before and took the saw palmetto and rogaine regular strength. I noticed there weren’t hardly any side effects besides the occasional stomache discomfort. I am now thinking of taking procerin topical combined with rogaine extra strength 5% or the 12.5% solution, also I’m curious about xandrox 12.5%, can procerin be taken with these products. Oh by the way as I stated before I still have a hair line but have thinning hair I noticed certain spots where patches were showing and no hair was apparent were slowly starting to grow back. I also noticed in the thinning area longer hairs appearing. I haven’t been losing hair that long but it’s becoming more apparent. Let me know if I’m on the right track and if I can use these products together. I’ve only been using rogaine for a month but I am happy with the little I’m seeing I also use Nizoral every other day to wash my hair no other shampoo. Thanks,

Deryck

AskDocWeb: We suggest continuing with what you are doing and give it six months before adding anything else. The Procerin topical has not received good reviews so far, certainly not enough to recommend it. And Xandrox 12.5% seems to be so strong that it irritates or burns the scalp, also not recommended. More is not always better.

Just started using procerin a week ago, 23 years old, started noticing hairloss when I was 16. Last year has been brutal on my hairline though and there’s significant hairloss in the frontal part of the scalp, just looking for something to stop hairloss, any regrowth will be a pleasant surprise. Will keep you guys updated on progress made.

Subj: Procerin or Shen Min
Date: 2/18/2007
Hi. I am willing to start using a hair loss product, however I am stuck in between Procerin and Shen Min for men as they are both known to be herbal vitamins with saw palmetto. Would you please provide me some suggestions on which one to start taking? Thanks,

Thomas

AskDocWeb: Procerin has our recommendation, Shen Min is not recommended.

Subj: Melancor/Procerin
Date: 2/19/2007
I started using procerin 5 weeks ago. However, I have had a break from it for about a week, when I didn’t take Procerin on holiday. When I started using Procerin I was also taking Melancor (to help with grey hair reduction.) I had been taking Melancor for about 4 months. I did notice when taking Melancor that the stark difference between the white hairs and the dark hairs was toned down. The white hairs didn’t stand out as much and my hair did look slightly darker. It was not just in my mind as other people said the same (other people who would have had no hesitation in telling me straight if they thought that the change was only in my mind.)

Four months after I started taking Melancor I noticed that the hair around my temples was starting to slightly recede. I realized that the recent hair loss around my temple areas was solely to do with my getting older and nothing to do with Melancor. I am 39 years old, 40 this year and the receding hairline was just my body’s way of highlighting my middle age. So I started taking Procerin along with the Melancor, and the Procerin serum and used Nisim shampoo. I decided then to stop taking the Melancor. The priority was to try to stop my hairline receding further and not to stop grey hair from showing and I didn’t want to over do some of the vitamin supplements that were common to both products. I found the Nisim shampoo dried my scalp and made it feel ‘tight’ to such an extent that I now only use it about once a week and use my regular shampoo for the rest of the time. After two weeks of using Procerin I looked again at my hairline. It was worse. Was this the ‘shedding stage’ that some had warned of in the Procerin feedback pages? I decided to only use the serum in a small 1cm area at the side of my left temple to see if my hair was reacting badly to the serum. I will keep taking the Procerin tablets and monitor the state of my hairline. It’s difficult to tell if the further hairloss is in anyway related to the Procerin tablets or the serum. But for regrowth of hair around the temple area my options are somewhat limited. The product I have now seen widely advertised is Nourkrin. Some of the major shops in the UK are now selling it. But I have no information on whether it will assist re-growth in the temple area. I’ll keep you posted of my progress.

Subj: Nisim Biofactors shampoo
Date: 2/21/2007
I’m curious about the Nisim Biofactors shampoo that you recommend. How long have you been recommending it and is there a reason why you don’t provide more information about it? Don’t get me wrong, I greatly appreciate the work you’ve put in to this site. I would simply like to know more about this product.

Subj: Definite improvement after 1 year
Date: 2/22/2007
I started using Procerin about 1 year ago and made a comment here after about 3 months that I was satisfied. After 1 year of use I have seen definite improvement. I used to always catch sign of my thinning hair in mirrors at the store, reflections in windows and no matter what I did I couldn’t really hide it anymore. I’m 29 and have thinning on the top and at the back. I won’t say that my hair is fully grow back but I now can easily and quickly fix my hair so that no sign of thinning is noticeable. I see the thin white hairs that I noticed after 3 months of use becoming thicker and more abundant, my girlfriend has honestly told me on many occasions that she sees the difference, and I have absolutely no side effects to report. 1 thing I noticed in the first 3-4 months was that I had more gas, that has completely subsided. I use the pills and serum(this only once a day in the evening) and just want to say that I’ll continue with this as a satisfied customer. I had reservations at first and wasn’t sure if this website was honest or if it was actually paid for by Procerin. but I took a chance; and after seeing my first comment posted here I really believed I was on to something. hope this helps someone, I’ll answer questions if asked.

Subj: Shaved my head
Date: 2/23/2007
I’m 20 years old and have had a receeded hair line for the passed year and a bit. Luckily, my long hair covers it up just fine thanks to my widow’s peak. My hair loss has only taken place at the temples; the crown of my scalp is still think and strong. I’ve been taking Procerin for 2 months now and have experienced no uncomfortable side affects. However, so far I have noticed no definite regrowth and fear that my recession is still continuing. I shaved my head right before started the pills, just to see a clear view of my hairline. For what it’s worth, the rest of the hair on my head is thicker and fuller, but the effects of any regrowth remain to be seen. Lets hope this works.

Subj: New vellus hairs
Date: 2/23/2007
I’ve been on procerin for only a couple weeks now, with fantastic results! All of the thinning areas at my temples are practically full. Also on the once bare spots at the front, there are new vellus hairs that have grown a miraculous half an inch in only two weeks! (when I started the procerin). Hopefully these new thin hairs push to become thick and long. Basically, I’ve gone from a Norwood 3 to 2. I’ll keep you posted.

Subj: Hairloss recommendation?
Date: 2/25/2007
Is Procerin the best (safe) answer for hairloss or are their others you all would recommend?

Trevor

AskDocWeb: Yes, besides Procerin there are a couple of others. We recommend you use a shampoo that fights hair loss like Nisim Biofactors. The other recommendation is a limited one. Minoxidil can be used to help get your hair started growing again but the affect doesn’t last beyond 48 weeks.

Subj: Concerned
Date: 2/28/2007
It looks like a good product. But what I am concerned about, is that when I use this product once. Do I have to use it again?

Darren

AskDocWeb: Yes, you have to continue using it as long as you want to keep the benefits. A use it once and you’re cured type cure doesn’t exist.

Subj: Want for sex is way down
Date: 2/28/2007
I have taken procerin for over a year now. I work at the fire dept and do not taken it sometimes, as I forget to. Is this the best product that you have seen to stop hair loss and are there sexual side effects to it as I have noticed that my want for sex is way down and I got married this past May and I don’t seem to want it like I did before. ???

Gene

AskDocWeb: It could be that the honeymoon is over, that happens to a lot of people. You could stop taking it for a month to find out what happens to your sex drive. If it doesn’t come back then you can start taking it again because it’s the best product for hair loss that we’ve found so far. The list of things that can influence your desire for sex is quite long.
