Subj: What happens if I quit?
Date: 2/18/2004
I have just ordered a three months supply of procerin. If after using this product I experience satisfactory hair growth and decide to discontinue use, will the effects of procerin be reversed?

Goingbald

AskDocWeb: Yes, if you discontinue use, hair loss will resume within months. This is true for all the hair loss products we have found.

Subj: Trying to fight it from all angles
Date: 2/18/2004
Hi, I’ve been taking proscar ( broken down ) for about 7 years and although I have kept hair its goes through stages. I have just ordered procerin so hope you can tell me a bit about that. I am also going to try Tricomin shampoo have you any info on that?

I have been using Dr Lewengbergs formula Minoxidil – retin a for about 6 weeks interested to know if you have had any feed back on that. I guess I’m trying to fight it from all angles.

Subj: Procerin ingredients
Date: 2/19/2004
Procerin contains 500mg of Saw Palmetto per tablet. Is this too much since the recommended daily dose by health practitioners is 320mg per day? Taking 3 tablets of Procerin per day is 5x the recommended daily amount. Please explain.

Rickie

AskDocWeb: As we said in the post 12/8/2003, 320mg is the recommended dosage for treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Saw palmetto is also use in the treatment of cancer in dosages up to 2000mg daily.

Subj: Losing hair on one side
Date: 2/19/2004
I am 25 years old. I am half asian and half white-my mom is asian. Her side of the family has no hair loss but my dads side does, and my hair is for sure asian. My hair is starting to thin from the left side top but not the right side? I freaked out when I noticed this!

I have been taking procerin for about 2 weeks now along with rogain regular strength and I think the loss has stopped, but I’m not sure. Is it normal to see one side of the head lose hair and not the other? I am very freaked out by the whole problem and I can’t stop thinking about it. I love this web site and will keep you informed on progress or lack of it. Please get back to me if possible. I have no one else to turn to because it’s a shy subject! Thanks for the feedback!

Joe

AskDocWeb: Your hair loss may just be appearing on one side first. In orther words, in time it may spread to the other side. Or you may just have patchy hair loss. Do keep us posted with your experience becaues others are also experiencing patchy hair loss.

Subj: Acne?
Date: 2/20/2004
Hi, I just got my procerin, I was curious to know if anyone else gets increased acne on the temples of the forehead. I also get a dull ache in my groin and know this to be procerin. Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

Subj: Concerned
Date: 2/24/2004
I just bought some Procerin tonight…and I’m worried if it was a waste of money. I’m scared whether I should take it now, because I’ve read some comments on here that said they lost even more hair. I’m 19 and I’m just taking it because I noticed that more and more hair is falling out more than it used to…and my hair line is receding a lot as well. I just don’t want this to be a waste of money, and to make me look worse, and drop my self-esteem to a new low.

Dave

AskDocWeb: So far, only a small percentage of men experience the increased hair loss we refer to as “shedding” and from those that continued taking Procerin, the shedding only lasted about a month.

Subj: Adding procerin
Date: 2/24/2004
I am currently 22 years old and have been experiencing hair loss for 9 months now. I was wondering I am currently using Thymuskin and advecia right now to combat my hairloss with some pretty good results in two months. My hairloss seems to have stopped and my hair seems a little thicker. I have currently ordered the hairmax low level laser treatment as well to secure my win against hair loss. I was wondering if it would be advisable to add procerin to the mix?

Ryan

AskDocWeb: Sorry Ryan, but your situation brings up more questions. Our concern is that, if you try many things at once, how do you know which one works? Since you have experienced hair loss for only 9 months, we wonder how long you have used your first two choices. How are you distinguishing which product is working and how well?

Subj: Propecia with Procerin?
Date: 2/24/2004
Hi. I am 24 and just started losing my hair very fast on the past 3 months. I have been taking Procerin for 2 weeks now with no improvements. My question is, if it works for me of course, can Procerin stop my hair from falling all together? (keep from any visual appearances) Do you think I should take Propecia as well? I am not very concerned about regrowth as I am hoping if I do it now I can keep what I have. Thanks!

Luiz

AskDocWeb: Some of what you are asking is what we hope to answer with our Procerin Study. We know that others are successfully combining Propecia with Procerin. Until our study is finished June, we make no recommendation.

Subj: Zoloft hair loss
Date: 2/25/2004
Question – I’m 32 and recently stopped taking Zoloft for stress & anxiety. My hair’s been thinning for years, but seemed to get worse using Zoloft. Hair-loss seems to be a new-found side effect of this type of medication. I just purchased a 3 month supply of Procerin, hoping it might help my hair thicken back up naturally, and perhaps slow down hereditary balding. Has there been any success stories on this issue??

Ian

AskDocWeb: Not yet, but we encourage you to join our Procerin study so that others can benefit from your experience.

Subj: Pics
Date: 2/25/2004
I am interested in pics Kenny, or any one else that has them. I am thinking about getting procerin, and I hope to see some people’s progress.

Subj: hair transplants
Date: 2/26/2004
Someone was asking about hair transplants. I actually underwent the procedure about two years ago and wish that I had never heard of the operation. I only had one procedure so my head is not covered with the donor hair and I am glad because they are noticeable as transplants. No matter what “miracle” procedure the doctor may use, you can tell. The scar left behind by the surgery will also be a nagging reminder of a lack of clear thinking.

I have read all of the feedback from the procerin study and have made my first order. Hopefully I fall within the 88% of successful cases.

I was also wondering about a topical solution product I have stumbled across. AskDocWeb, do you have any information on Thymuskin and if it is effective? Any feedback on the product would be greatly appreciated.

Dave

AskDocWeb: Thymuskin was developed by German scientists to fight hair loss in chemotherapy patients. According to the manufacturer, Thymuskin has a success rate of 67% for men and 95% for women. We haven’t received much feedback from users yet. Right now we don’t recommend it.

Subj: Crohns disease
Date: 2/27/2004
Hi, Im a 25 year old male resident in the UK with a strongly receding hairline, I started taking procerin in November 2003 for two months as directed with food and although I started to notice thickening and some new hair growth at the temples. I started to experience stomach cramps and diahoreea as I continued to use this product, I have now since ceased use of procerin and I am wondering as to whether anybody else has experienced these side effects? I have now since been diagonised with crohns disease but I am unsure as to whether there is a connection. I understand stomach problems and diahareea are symptoms of crohns but the timing seems to have coincided.

Dan

AskDocWeb: It is impossible to tell from your letter, if the stomach cramps and diarrhea were caused by the Crohns or the Procerin. Since you have stopped the Procerin, do you still experience the cramps and diarrhea?

Subj: To answer your questions
Date: 3/1/2004
To answer your questions I have been using Thymuskin and Advecia for about 3 months now with a decrease only in hair loss and a little regrowth but not an actual stoppage. Both these products don’t try and Stop the production of DHT though so by using Procerin I am hoping to take most of the DHT out of the equation and hopefully put a stop to hairloss.

Subj: Treatment for alopecia androgenetica
Date: 3/3/2004
I have not used Procerin but I am eager to try a treatment for alopecia androgenetica, thinning along the frontal vertex. I have been taking saw palmetto for 2 months with some success. I am 24 yrs old and have suffered from a gradual thinning over the last year. I am tied between using propecia, or procerin. I have carried out exhaustive research into hairloss, and have found that most information about these products do not explain in which area of the scalp these treatments prove effective. Also, is procerin available in the UK?

Ken

AskDocWeb: Hi Ken. If you decide to use Procerin, you are invited to join our Procerin Study. Just check in once a month and let us know how you are doing. And yes, Procerin ships worldwide.

Subj: Procerin in the UK
Date: 3/3/2004
Please advise me where I can buy procerin tablets from in the UK. Where can I also buy them the cheapest without paying too much carriage as well. Thanking you in advance.
Tokeer

AskDocWeb: Procerin will be available in the UK sometime around March 2006. That way there will be no international shipping charges.

Subj: Skin, hair and nails formula
Date: 3/4/2004
Ok, I’ve just ordered my 3 month supply of procerin. I am currently on Saw Palmetto and skin, hair and nails formula supplement containing L-Lysine (I-lysine) and L-proline. Should I discontinue this regieme once I start on Procerin?

K’man

AskDocWeb: We are not familiar with your supplement but, we caution you that the more Saw Palmetto you consume, the greater the chance of side effects.

Subj: Check this out
Date: 3/4/2004
I just went about ordering the Procerin product today. Wanted you to check out this site though…and maybe inform me of your opinion on this product: 1100hairtreatment.com

Kyle

AskDocWeb: We find it suspicious that their Hair Energizer Shampoo business started out in 1999 with 10,000 testimonials. (Red flag 1) After 5 years, they still have the same number of testimonials. (Red flag 2) And their website is registered to Bulkregister. (Red flag 3) That seems like the type of registration an individual (not a company) would hide behind. We wouldn’t trust them.

Subj: 17 year old
Date: 3/5/2004
My son Patrick is 17. He began procerin about 6 months ago, because his hair was thinning on the top of his head, and his hairline was receding. He also used Rogaine for a couple of months. His hair has come back almost to normal. He continues to use procerin, but stopped the Rogaine about 4 months ago.

Subj: antibiotics
Date: 3/8/2004
I am 18 and have noticed hair thinning. I am going to start using procerin and intend to place my order at the beginning of the week. I used to have acne but now I just have a few spots which I am using antibiotics called minocin to cure. Will using the two products together be harmful?

Keith

AskDocWeb: We don’t have any data on the use of antibiotics with Procerin but, there is a
new study about antibiotics we think everyone should read.

Subj: Hair Stimulator
Date: 3/11/2004
I was wondering if yall knew anything about the Hair Stimulator? I just ordered six months of procerin and was wondering if ordering the hair stimulator if that would interfer or actually help with the effectiveness of procerin. Thanks for your time.

Bryan

AskDocWeb: We looked at that product and decided it was just too good to be true. We don’t have much faith in any product that uses magnets to achieve theraputic results. In addition to the claims about regrowing your hair, it claims to make you smarter, improve your memory, reduce the amount of sleep your body requires while improving the quality of your sleep, releaves pain in joints, speed healing of wounds, releaves itch, reduces scalp oil, gives you more energy, cure your insomnia, cures dizziness and excessive dreaming, improve your appetite and gets rid of your headache. Really amazing! Duh – No way!

Subj: Taking avacor with procerin?
Date: 3/13/2004
I’ve been using avacor for 6 months know and haven’t seen any results so I just ordered procerin and I am wondering if I should stop taking avacor or continue, while I take the procerin. If anyone out there is using both please reply or give me your best insight on this.
