Subj: Procerin definitely worked
Date: 5/15/2007
I took procerin for 3 months, and people were actually noticing my hair looking thicker. It really worked well for me. I stopped taking it though and my hair became thin again. Right now I have 1 bottle and I’m running low, so I am only taking 2 pills at night and not 1 in the day. Hair seems to be getting thinner, maybe because my body has adapted to the product, or because I am not taking the full dosage. I just ordered another 3 months, so I will let you know how it works. But it definitely worked the first 3 months I took it. Worked ridiculously good!

Subj: Hair loss questions
Date: 5/16/2007
Not to sound redundant, but thanks for the website. Excellent resource. I’ve been taking procerin for 10 weeks now and so far I’ve had no visible positive results. Sometimes I feel it may have gotten worse (perhaps the ‘shedding’ phase), but I can’t be sure. I’ll keep at it for another few months because I know it can take some time. Additionally, I had a couple questions. You’ve recommended Nisim Biofactors shampoo several times. Does this recommendation come from results seen from just the shampoo, or from the shampoo plus the ‘extract’? What’s your opinion on one versus the other versus both? One last thing… I’ve heard that hair loss can be accelerated by dandruff. Do you have any opinion on the shampoo ‘Nizoral’? Thanks in advance for your help.
Noah
AskDocWeb: We’ve heard that about hair loss being accelerated by dandruff too but have seen no evidence that supports it. It is possible that dandruff is a byproduct of hair loss and not the cause. We haven’t heard enough about the results of using the “extract” to make up our minds about it. If you try it be sure to share your results with the rest of us here.
Nizoral started out as an antifungal drug (Ketoconazole) used to treat fungal infections. We have no data or feedback on its effectiveness as an anti-dandruff shampoo. If your dandruff is caused by some kind of fungus then it should help.
Subj: Peculiar odor
Date: 5/18/2007
I just started using Procerin and noticed it has a Peculiar odor. It smells like wet dog. Has this been reported, and can anything be done? Also, can anything be done to reduce the greasy feel and look? Thanks,
Tom
AskDocWeb: That’s the XT serum, and we do not recommend it because of this type of feedback.
Subj: Serum?
Date: 5/23/2007
I just received my 3-month supply of Procerin, however it is only the pill form. Do you believe it is also necessary to take the serum as well for hair regrowth? Thank you,
Paul
AskDocWeb: We do not recommend the serum. Of course if you choose to use the serum your feedback on that product would be appreciated.
Subj: 5 months of Procerin
Date: 5/24/2007
Hello, I have done tons of research on what hairloss products seem to work the best. Procerin has seemed to have stood out to be the most affective with out much side effects. I have been taking it for about 5 months and noticed substantial slowing of my hair falling out. Maybe even fully stooped falling out… its hard to tell. I did not notice any hair regrowth though. I ran out of the product and haven’t ordered more yet. Since I have stooped I noticed my hair rapidly start to fall out again. Seems like procerin works pretty good. I need to get back on it! Also I was wondering if using Procerin’s topical treatment along with rogain can work?

Subj: Best place to buy Procerin
Date: 5/24/2007
Just a question, I know that you recommend using Procerin with Nisim Biofactors shampoo. But Procerin tablets be enough with the shampoo, or you suggest also using the Procerin XT Serum as well? Also what is the best place to buy Procerin, I found procerin.com as well as procerin.org, there is also procerin.net, are these all the same guys?
Tom
AskDocWeb: In the study we did, 70% of the men were happy with the results of just the pills alone. We suggest buying from the manufacturer.
Subj: Comparing Procerin
Date: 5/25/2007
How many times per day should I take Procerin? I am comparing Procerin with taking these products separately and was wondering how many times per day it needed to be taken. You also mentioned in an earlier answer to a question on ingredients that Procerin contains 1500 mg of saw palmetto. Is this the entire daily dose or an individual dose taken multiple times per day? So for 2 doses it would total 3000 mg of saw palmetto. Is the saw palmetto standardized or whole herb? These are very important in comparing other products to Procerin. Thank you.
Jason
AskDocWeb: The directions we found say that Procerin should be taken one pill or capsule in the morning and two in the evening before sleeping. That’s 3 for a total daily intake. The 1500mg is for 3 pills, 500 mgs in each one. The saw palmetto is standardized.
Subj: Little if any results
Date: 5/29/2007
I have been using procerin for about 1 1/2 months now. I have noticed very little if any results, it is hard to know because I have not cut my hair in a while and have grown it out much longer than usual. I am using procerin for my receeding hairline, beginning balding spot in the back of my head, and thinning hair. I have noticed that despite following the directions, I still am acquiring DHT on my scalp (I can feel how oily and slimey it feels). I tried a couple times to take two tablets in the morning and two at night and noticed much better results. I only did this four times though. If I am experiencing the results that I am, would you recommend taking 2 in the morning and 2 at night from now on? I know the money back guarantee issue, however, that is the least of my worries. Also, will shaving my head for the summer effect my hair loss and/or the success of procerin? thank you.
Alex
AskDocWeb: No, shaving your head shouldn’t make any difference. Increasing the dosage isn’t recommended because of the increased chance of side effects like a stomachache. If you didn’t experience any then you might be able to get away with it.
Subj: I’m happy
Date: 6/1/2007
Hi, I’m now on my 5th month of procerin and the results have been getting gradually better. My hair loss seems to have come to a halt for the time being. Although the regrowth at my right temple seems significantly better then my left. I’m happy with any regrowth at all, but is this common or should things even out eventually?
Sean
AskDocWeb: Maximum results are achieved from 9 months to one year. There hasn’t been enough feedback about uneven growth to know if this is common or if it will even out, hope you can help out with that.
Subj: Too much DHT on scalp?
Date: 6/1/2007
I have experienced pimples on my head since I was in my late teens along with redness. At the same time I started to lose my hair. I’m now 34 and lost about 30% of my hair. My friend says it’s from too much DHT on the scalp. Have you heard of this?
Dave
AskDocWeb: Yes, that’s the currently popular theory as to why men lose hair, too much DHT in your scalp chokes off the hair growth.
Subj: Roughly one year on Procerin
Date: 6/3/2007
I have been taking Procerin (2 pills per day) and Nutrifolica (daily application of topical solution) for roughly a year now. I’m 40 years old. I can say definitively that hair loss has slowed pretty dramatically, although noticeable gains take a long time to determine. I’m talking 6 months to a year, and it is an ongoing process. I think people are looking for a quick solution, and it definitely takes time to determine if a product is really working. To complicate matters, emotions often play a big part in this process. “Wishful thinking” and despair cloud judgement, so stick with whatever program you are on for a year. I suggest having someone take good, close pictures at the start of a program (or wherever you are now in the process) and do the same one year later and see for yourself. Make sure that your hair is the same length in both pictures, because both longer hair and shorter hair can have deceptive effects. Finally, ask others for their opinion and ask them to be brutally honest: loved ones don’t care what your hair looks like and they tend to say what makes you feel better. I consider my own results positive thus far and I’m continuing with my program. Be aware that this is probably a life-long process, so factor it in as you would your other daily “rituals”.
