I am 24, I have medium receding hair lines, I have been using procerin for about four months. I think it was working, at least it wasn’t falling out anymore. Then I went without it for about 4 days while waiting for a refill, and after that the pills are different and my hair is falling out fast. What do you think? Also I only wash my hair about once a week using nioxin because it dries my scalp out so much, What are your feelings on this? Thank you.

AskDocWeb: Sometimes a manufacturer will change the appearance of a pill but the contents are the same. We know that when you discontinue a hair loss product that was working you start losing hair again, and that’s what it sounds like in your case. You have to keep taking it to keep the benefits.

With my family history, unless the milkman slipped in the back door, it looks like I’m SOL on keeping my hair unless I do something proactive. I’m 26, health nut, gym freak and really started to notice hair loss over the last 2 years. A little thinning here and there, but nothing alarming because I’ve always had thin/light hair. I recently let my hair grow out into a white man’s fro, but had to get a cut for a wedding. I notice an increase of heat on the top-back side of my head after being out in the sun. Using mirrors I notice my hair is thinning out in the back. This did not make me happy plus the sun burn was very unpleasant. After researching on the Internet and other medical journals, I’ve decided to give Procerin a try and will keep you update on success or failure. One quick question, what are the current numbers of productive and non-productive rates?

I was just wondering…does Procerin cause temporary hair loss followed then by a period of regrowth? I’m referring both to the Procerin Tablets and the Procerin XT Serum. Finding products that bring on hair loss and then a process of regrowth can be quite annoying.

AskDocWeb: Yes, it can be annoying but shedding doesn’t happen to everyone. Only 14% of Procerin users reported going through a shedding phase.

Subj: Hair loss stopped completely

I’m 22 years old and have been suffering significant hair loss since I was 17. After every shower was filled with hair and it just kept getting worse. I finally studied herbal medicine and came across Procerine. Withing 2 weeks my hair loss had stopped completely! I have been using it for 2 months now and would pay any price they ask for!

I am a 25 year old Caribbean med student. And I was recently in the Caribbean. I thought I was losing my hair because I was deficient in biotin( not much variation in food for me there to get all my vitamins). So I took biotin supplements everyday. I thought it would work but it didn’t. I was still losing hair. And because I diagnosed my problem wrong, I have lost hair and my hairline has receded to a dangerous boundary. So May 20 of this year I have started using procerin. I have been using the product for almost a month. My hair does not seem to be falling as out as much. and it looks darker. I have yet to see hair regrowth but I am happy because my hair is not falling out as much as it used to. I am waiting for more research to be done on the WNT gene, which is said to cause hair growth. Which could become a topical solution one day. Until then I will use procerin because it works.

I’ve been using Saw Palmetto, I’m 24 and have had loss on the top of my head. I’ve used Saw Pelmetto for about a month now, was cheap for 200 tables I think £10 sterling. The results: I used to find lots of hair in the bath and on my hands but now it ceased strongly, wearing a hat made me lose more hair and gave me itchy scalp. I hope that information helps in one way or another.

Subj: No side affects with Procerin

I am a 47 yr old male fit and in good health for my age. My hairline started to receed at age 18. I started using rogain 2% about age 29, (mostly once a day) moving to the 5% version when it became available. I still have approx. 3″ of hair between my forehead and top of head where I have about a 3″ round bald spot. I do believe the rogain has helped me retain some hair over the years. Never thought I would have any hair left 30 years after I started to bald!
About 20 months ago I became more concerned of becoming “Horse-Shoe bald” with increased hair thinning. I then investigated propecia and other products on the market. I decided to try Procerin because I am on other medications and did not want to chance side affects. For the past 18 mos. I have followed this program. 3 tabs Procerin at night Rogain (Generic) 5% in AM and PM Nizoral Shampoo 3-4 times per week Topical DHT blocker 3-4 times per week in PM Folligen (copper peptide) 3-4 times per week in PM Hairmax laser comb 3 times per week 10-15 min. Sounds like a lot but once you get past the $300.00 for the laser comb, I figure I’m spending about $50.00 per month. They want you to do most of the above things with a hair transplant anyway. I have had no side affects with Procerin as I take all 3 pills at night. I now rub/shake my hair in the AM with no shedding as I had experienced before. The areas of hair that I do have on top seems darker, healthier and thicker and grows to a longer length than before (I took before and after pictures). I have had some mild re-growth, but I didn’t expect much. I feel good about taking action and the chance of keeping the hair I have with my program. Younger guys should take advantage of the products on the market today, I wish I had them 30 years ago, but I’m glad I started the Rogain when I did.

Procerin recommends taking one tablet in the morn and 2 at night. If I just take 2 at night and avoid the morning dose, will it be useless?

I have started using Procerin from past 3 days. I am having a feeling to pee and go to restroom many times and I am doing that. Is it a normal symptom? Or not a usual one? I used to have ulcer long time back and now I don’t have it but use medication for it till now. So does it have any effect on it? Please let me know. I am losing hair and I desperately need some treatment.

AskDocWeb: Procerin doesn’t have any affect on an old ulcer. 3% of men reported an increased number of trips to the bathroom.

I have just taken delivery of procerin a week ago but I only came across your site this evening. I have hair loss every night as more and more hairs on now on my pillow when I awake. I have decent hair still but I am on levothyroxine 150mcg. Will procerin benefit me? Or am I wasting my time and money? I really hope not. Many thanks,

Great product. Been using it for a year. And it has help hold the line in place. I actually stopped for a week and noticed excessive loss in the sink and shower – kind of scary. I have just reordered (in advance) to avoid any lag periods.

I have just ordered Procerin and have never used any of the other products listed at all. I’m 33 and had no hair loss ever until about a year ago. So I’d say, not that I have any way of measuring this, I still have 95% of my hair. No clear bald spot, but thinning on top only. A lot of stuff on here is already scaring me away from using the serum when the stuff does get here. You think the results will be better since mine started so recently and I’m already doing something about it?

AskDocWeb: Yes, the sooner you start the better your chances of keeping your hair longer. Remember you have a better chance of keeping your hair than you do trying to regrow it after it’s gone.

Subj: Androgenetic alopecia

I was diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia. I am currently using Rogaine 5% (recommended by the Dr.) I have been reading about provillus for women, which includes minoxidil 5%, along with some more ingredients, but it is oral, which apparently makes it much easier than Rogaine. I wonder if you have any kind of information about this product, if you would recommend the change, and if any of them can be taken at the same time as Procerin. Many thanks for your response,

AskDocWeb: Sorry Jes, we don’t have enough data to make a recommendation for your situation. When using three or more products for hair loss at the same time the possibilities get very complicated. People have successfully used Rogaine with Procerin and others successfully use Provillus with Rogaine but we don’t recommend using more than two hair loss products at the same time.
