Subj: Tips on hair loss
Date: 7/1/2008
Hi, everyone. I’m 19. I still have good hair. It’s just the front side that’s thinning. I’m really concerned. I have read lot of comments here and got encouraged to take procerin. I just ordered a three months supply after reading this. Here is the problem. I have done the blood test and the docs telling me that everything is fine but I have no family baldness history. I really need some help. I will appreciate if I get some tips.
Nazim
AskDocWeb: If you are taking any drugs that may be contributing to your hair loss, you might ask your doctor for alternatives (See Drugs that cause hair loss). Check your diet to make sure you are getting the nutrition that is required for healthy hair growth. Hair loss can occur if the diet is inadequate in the vitamin B6, biotin, inositol, folic acid and minerals like magnesium, sulfur and zinc. The B vitamins, especially B5 (Pantothenic acid and B3 (niacin), are especially important for hair growth. On the other hand, taking large doses of vitamin A (100,000 IU or more daily) for a long period of time can cause hair loss, but discontinuing the excess vitamin A does reverse that problem.
Subj: First Procerin then Provillus

My Brother and I have tried Procerin. I was very excited when I found about Procerin at first. Did enough research for side effect before I ordered. I had ordered SIX month supply. Sure Enough it did stop hair lose. However did not see any new hair. I finish my supply but did not see any new hair. I lost hope for while. I grow my hair to cover bald spot. Recently I show TV ad for scalpmed. After researching several days about the scalpmed I found Provillus accidentally. It seems there are many product available but Provillus with Nizoral Shampoo seems to be BEST option for stopping hair lose and Quickly regrowing NEW hair. Bottom line: Procerin is good for stopping hair lose but not for NEW hair! Regards,
Avinash
Subj: Saw Palmetto, Nisim shampoo and extract
Date: 7/16/2008
Do you think is worth it to take procerin and also Saw Palmetto pills?,.. of so,.. which ones do I should take, 1 or 2 of 540mg? Also I have seen in the blog that Procerin work better with the Nisim shampoo,..but it is just the shampoo or also the extract? Thanks,
Alex
AskDocWeb: Taking more saw palmetto pills in addition to the Procerin may result in stomach upset or other side effects so we can’t recommend that. There isn’t enough feedback on the extract yet to make a recommendation on it one way or another but so far it looks good. If you use it let us know what you think.

Subj: Propecia Procerin

Hey, I’m a 17 year old male (only just turned) and I have a receding hairline (more so on the left than on the right) I’ve been to see my doctor and his words were after I asked “am I losing my hair?”, “yup?”, “all over my head?”, “yeah” I was horrofied obviously and my mam was there too, but was more so worried that I’d proved her wrong as she’d been telling me I’m not losing my hair, The doctor then went on to say that I might just have naturally thin hair, now that’s very unfair and confusing because I’m half in the hope I just have thin hair and half of me is constantly worried about losing my hair, as to be frank, my hair is the only thing I like about myself. We’re doing blood tests to see if its thyroid or diabetes problems and if not I will be getting (maybe) propecia FREE on the NHS, but I’m afraid to take this as I’ve read all of the horrific side effects, is procerin a safer choice, even if I’m spending money?
Sean
AskDocWeb: Procerin does not have the side effects that have been reported with Propecia usage.
Subj: Masturbate?
Date: 7/18/2008
Am I allowed to masturbate while using Procerin? Does it have any adverse effects?
Ray
AskDocWeb: There are several mythes about masturbation including the idea that it has some influence on hair growth, it does not.
Subj: Combo of serum and pill?
Date: 7/29/2008
I just have a question. Is there any research or information on if the combo of serum and pill is a big difference from just using pills or just using serum?
James
AskDocWeb: The research we conducted was just on the pills. We haven’t seen anything on the effectiveness of the serum yet.
Subj: My hair loss has stopped
Date: 7/31/2008
I have been using Procerin for about 9 months now and my hair loss has stopped. I have not noticed any new hair though. Should I keep continue taking Procerin? Has there been a research on what happens when you stop taking Procerin?
Rahul
AskDocWeb: Like any hair loss product, you only keep the benefits as long as you continue using the product. If you stop, the hair loss resumes.
Subj: Receding hair at 17
Date: 8/3/2008

AskDocWeb: Since you are only 17 we suggest you consult with a dermatologist to find out if there is a medical cause for your hair loss.
Subj: Widows peak
Date: 8/5/2008
I am 19 and I am losing my hair from top or I have widows peak. Is procerin help to grow hair of that portion and how long usually does it take? Thanks,
Frit
AskDocWeb: Yes and you should give it six months. Hope you are one of the lucky 70% for which this works.
Subj: Hair loss definitely slowed down
Date: 8/6/2008
I’ve been on procerin now for 4 months. I would have to say within the first month and into the 2nd month I noticed the hair appeared thicker from the roots and seemed healthier. I’ve noticed no regrowth. I have a decent hair line just extemely thin up front. Does the topical solution clog pours in scalp causing hair loss? I noticed hair loss definitely slowed down in first couple of months but now I seem to fined more hairs in my hand as I run fingers through. Looks worse of course right after topical solution is applied, shinny scalp and all. I cant help but wonder is the solution doing more harm than good. Also I work outdoors all day. Is it better to were a loose hat to avoid burnt scalp. I’ve heard that hats can promote hair loss?
Dave
AskDocWeb: Several men have reported not being happy with the solution. That’s why we recommend only the pills. We don’t think hats are a problem. It would have to be very tight in order to cause hair loss.
Subj: New non-herbal pill?
Date: 8/15/2008
I have been using Procerin pills for 6 months now, and haven’t noticed any real difference in it stopping my balding, or any signs of regrowth. My hair tends to fall out every thirty days or so for about 2 weeks and then stop. Whether Procerin prevents more of my hair from falling out I’m not sure. I have heard that there is a non-herbal pill that is 100% guaranteed to stop hair loss. If there is such a pill I would be grateful to know what it’s called and if the guarantee is as good as it seems. Many Thanks,
Scott
AskDocWeb: Please tell where you heard that because readers want to know about scams. Having a 100% guarantee only means that the company advertising says that it stands behind their product. It does not tell you how well that product performs or if the company honors their guarantee. If their new pill is non-herbal then it must be a drug and no new drugs for hair loss have been announced. If you say where you heard about this non-herbal pill we can check it out and if it’s a scam (likely), publish a warning.
Subj: Reformulate the product?
Date: 8/21/2008
My question is concerning Procerin XT Serum. I want to use the product, but it makes my scalp look like I dipped it in olive oil and the smell is unbearable. Have you heard of any other complaints concerning this? Do you know if the manufacturer is planning to reformulate the product so it is more user-friendly?
Dathan
AskDocWeb: Sorry, we have no idea what manufacturers plan to do.
Subj: Using procerin
Date: 8/28/2008
I’m 19 and been using procerin for about a week and a half. After a few days I noticed that I was losing a lot fewer hairs. Now I seem to be losing them again but it seem to be only finer hairs. Is this a sign I’m responding to the supplement? Or is it still too early to tell. Thanks.
Dave
AskDocWeb: Give it a few months, a week or two is just not enough time for much to happen.
Subj: Solution to stop the loss of hair
Date: 8/31/2008
Hello, I have been using minoxidil only for over 2 years, I am not sure if I have seen an increase or reduction in hairloss, or whether it is due to the irregularity of my use that I can’t tell. The reason I cannot ascertain truly is that I do not know the normal stages/period of hairloss. I can say for certain I have some fuzzy hair lining my temples, whether these are signs of reduction/growth/thinning – I can’t explain. I would like to ask whether Procerin and Minoxidl work together or rather it be Propecia in lieu of the former. I’d like to add, I have a respectable head of hair for the moment, and would like a solution to demand a total stop to the loss of hair.
MinnyNinny
AskDocWeb: First the bad news; There isn’t any product on the market that will totally stop your hair loss. According to a publication from the FDA’s Drug Facts from the FDA “Hair regrowth has not been shown to last longer than 48 weeks of continuous treatment in large clinical trials with minoxidil topical solution 5% for men.” And really, how long is 48 weeks? Less than a year!
Now the good news; We are watching the research on hair loss products and will tell you when a new product comes out that fits your criteria. With Procerin 7 out of 10 men are satisfied with their results. That’s not 100% but it’s worth trying. In the mean time we suggest you use a shampoo that supports hair growth and fights hair loss, something like Nisim Biofactors. Read more feedback about Procerin. Alternative hair loss products:
- Provillus
