Subj: Shedding
Date: 4/14/2004
After taking procerin, I noticed shedding in the 5th month. I am still taking procerin, but I also am still experiencing shedding. I can tell that procerin has thickened my hair, but as far as regrowth I never took any pictures so I can not really tell. Also, how long does shedding typically last, and is shedding always a bad thing?
Shawn
AskDocWeb: Others have reported shedding lasting 4 to 5 weeks. Please let us know how it goes for you.
Subj: Mild baldness
Date: 4/14/2004
I am a 24 year old male with some mild baldness around the temples and a little in the back. I also noticed my hair thinning some. I’m starting to take procerin this week and I will give all the info I can on how this works out. I hope it works out. I’d rather have better hair than a 90 day guarantee.
JT
AskDocWeb: Good luck JT and thanks. We’ll look forward to your monthly reports.
Subj: Switched from Propecia to Procerin
Date: 4/15/2004
Recently switched from propecia to procerin. I am very pleased with the results of procerin. I am a 24 year old white male. The procerin is working much better than the propecia ever did. It started to work after about three weeks, if you are having this problem I would highly recommend this product over propecia. Just hope this helps, good luck guys!

Subj: Manufacturer
Date: 4/15/2004
You have a very sourceful site. However, we I do not see any comment or answer from the manufacturer of Procerin on some vital questions. Why Is that?
Ron
AskDocWeb: So far, none of the manufacturers of the products we review have come here to comment. They have no control over what is said on this website so that’s not likely to happen..
Subj: Vitamins
Date: 4/15/2004
I have been on procerin for 1 month now and I think I have less shedding but I think its way to early to see regrowth. I was wondering if taking too many vitamins will make it harder for procerin to absorb? I lift weights so I take alot of stuff for every thing, mostly hair like extra B-C-E and alot more. Will this cause a problem or help procerin out? I asked the salesman and he said it would help. Thanks for the feedback:
Tom
AskDocWeb: Taking too much of anything can cause problems. In general, we see no problems with taking supplements to make sure your body has all the vitamins, minerals, etc. it needs.
Subj: Hair loss at 16
Date: 4/16/2004
Hi, I’m 16 and I suffer from thinning hair on the top of my head, and beginning to suffer from it on my crown too. I want to use Procerin but I don’t know if I am too young?! Please help. Thanks
Dan
AskDocWeb: We suggest you talk to your parents about this AND about getting a physical. There may be a medical reason for your hair loss.
Subj: Increased hair loss
Date: 4/16/2004
I have been using procerin for about 6 weeks and my hair loss has increased. I am noticing more hair fulling out at this stage. I am hoping this will not continue. I am going to continue to use the product for 3 months to see if my condition improves. Is it normal for hairloss to increase in the early stages of using procerin. Thank you.
John
AskDocWeb: Several people have reported going through a period of “shedding” that lasts about a month.
Subj: Side effects
Date: 4/16/2004
I have been on procerin for about a month. I shave my head so I’m not sure if it stoped it from falling out. I let it grow every once in a while to see if my hair is getting thicker but its to early to tell, but one side effect is my concentration has sky rocketed and my energy has also increased along with libido so since those effects are occuring. I’ll continue to buy it if I regrow hair great. It’s just an experiment to me. I don’t really obsess much any more…thanks.
Jackson
Subj: Progress and possible side effect
Date: 4/19/2004
I bought Procerin for me (age 62) and for my son (age 24). He reports progress after one month. I feel that my hair loss is slowing down, but I need more time to confirm. One possible side effect is that a recent blood test indicated my liver enzymes are slightly elevated. My homeopathic health practitioner wonders if it may be from impurities or ingredients in Procerin. I can stop taking the Procerin to find out, but then I won’t be making progress stopping my thinning. Have you had any other reports of this condition?
John
AskDocWeb: This is the first we have heard of this possibility. Do let us know what you find out.
Subj: Strongly recommend
Date: 4/19/2004
I am 23. I have been losing hair for the past three years slowly, but especially in the last year it had become a lot faster, and it had become quite noticeable. My friends, my barber, my family all were surprised that I was bald! In early January, every time I touched my hair, at least 10 strings would fall off. Quite depressed with the situation, I was going to order Propecia, but I was too lazy to go and get a prescription and so I decided to give Procerin a try.
It has been almost two months now. I am really impressed. Today in shower, after my numerous pulls of my hair, I only ended up with two strings in my hand. I have also been using L’Oreal Vive for the past two weeks. Together with Procerin, they are working great. I have tons of short hairs growing on my head, and I don’t look as bald as I used to last month. I am pretty sure that once those hairs are further grown, it will look better. My hair is about 6 inches now and the new grown ones are only about 1/2 an inch. So it will take quite some time for them to catch up with the older ones. I strongly recommend Procerin, it worked for me.

Subj: How should I take them?
Date: 4/20/2004
I work the night shift and I’m wondering how should I take the procerin tablets since it says take one in the morning and one at night?
Ivan
AskDocWeb: The idea is to separate the pills with enough time to avoid possible side effects. You could take one when you wake up and two before you go to bed. Or one pill with the first meal of your day and two pills with your last meal of the day. The actual time of day doesn’t make any difference.
Subj: Procerin with Propecia
Date: 4/21/2004
My hair has been rapidly receding along the sides of my forehead for about 4 months now. It’s gotten quite noticeable despite my efforts to cover it up. My hair used to be very thick and dark (and still is where I have hair, fortunately). I have been using Propecia for 2 weeks now, and just started using Procerin yesterday. I have high hopes, but in just the past few days my hair looks even thinner. If you’d like, I will keep you posted.
Aaron
AskDocWeb: Hi Aaron. Yes, keep us posted on your results with using Procerin with Propecia. Please note that while we do not recommend using them together, we would like to know what results you get.
Subj: Procerin with Kevis
Date: 4/21/2004
Hi, I have just ordered a three month supply of Procerin. I think it would be benefical for me and everyone to see the results. I am gonna try using this along with Kevis. Thanks
Tim
Subj: Yohimbine
Date: 4/21/2004
I would like to know if the adverse effects from yohimbine are related with something dangerous. Because I got Procerin composes with this drug, and a friend told me that the intention is to dissimulate some sexual problem from DHT blockers.
I am not really sure about that, because I have familiar antecedents with high blood pressure…and maybe a drug like this one could bring some trouble.
I will be really grateful about your opinion. Thank you very much
Roman
AskDocWeb: As of December, 2003, Procerin is no longer made with yohimbine so that is no longer a concern.
Subj: Magnets
Date: 4/21/2004
I’m currently using procerin (about 2months) and I just saw an ad, I was reading about it, it says that it has a high success rate of stopping and regrowing hair with that magnetic device, what do you think, is it worth purchasing.
Steve
AskDocWeb: You should know that people can say anything on the Internet, but that doesn’t make it true. Magnetic devices have been credited with all kinds of effects that have not been proven. If you are interested, there are also people selling magnets to put on your fuel line in your car to increase gas mileage, magnets to put on your water pipes in your house to soften your water and clean the pipes, and magnets to wear next to your skin to relieve pain. Although it might be possible, we don’t believe it.
Subj: Puzzling
Date: 4/23/2004
I have been losing hair for approximately 5 to 6 years now and I am 27 years old. The hairloss basically started when I was in college. My hair is now starting to get much thinner on the top of my scalp. I used propecia for about a year and a half and the hair loss continued. I have been using Procerin now for almost 3 months and I am still experiencing hair loss. The puzzling thing to me about all of this is that no one in my family is bald or has had any problems with thinning hair. With this information can you think of anything else that I can try to stop the loss of hair. Could it be stress that’s causing this? I really have no idea. I went to a dermatologist and he took one look and said it was male pattern baldness basically without doing anything. Do you guys have any suggestions for me or have you ever heard of anything like this. It seems like I have tried everything, vitamins, biotin pills, shampoos, and nothing seems to work. Thank You!
Jon
AskDocWeb: If none of your ancestors have this, then we would see a different dermatologist. Explain that you are not interested in a snap judgement and that you want a professional diagnosis of your condition.
Subj: Concerned
Date: 4/23/2004
Hi, just wondering? I did a lot of research on hair loss, and I was more interested in finding the why instead of looking for a cure. Lots of vitamin A and poor eating can cause hair loss, which it happened to me, because of the non-carb diet, which works but has side effects, like that hairloss!
Now I started eating better and stopped the vitamins along with procerin, but I’m concerned whenever I stop taking procerin hair loss will restart! Any idea on that? Thanks!
Gman
AskDocWeb: All of the products we have looked at so far require continuous use.
Subj: My best advice
Date: 4/24/2004
Great website here, I really like the feedback for Procerin. I’m a 29 year old male who has been slowly losing hair for about two years now. I have been taking Procerin for almost five months now. It hasn’t completely stopped my thinning. According to my doctor, nothing on the market will stop hair loss if you are genetically predisposed to lose hair. However, Procerin has most certainly slowed down my hair loss. I haven’t taken any before or after shots because there is no visible improvement unfortunately. I’m hoping for some regrowth after the 8th or 10 month period. My best advice to anyone considering Procerin is to ask yourself if you will be content with simply slowing down hair loss or do you expect hair regrowth? Personally I think it is worth it because it is probably buying my hair a few extra months at least and it keeps my prostrate healthy at the same time.

Subj: Rogaine, Propecia, and Procerin
Date: 4/26/2004
I’m 20 and I just got surgery on my clavical for shattering it snowboarding. 3 months later I was in a head on collision car wreck without wearing a seatbelt. My hair is falling out at a rapid rate as a result of this so I’m starting on Rogaine, Propecia, and Procerin, all at the same time. (studies have shown no problems in using all 3)– I hope I’ll be sending you positive feedback over the next few months.
Spencer
AskDocWeb: Good luck Spencer, and take it easy for awhile.

Hey, Been on Procerin about 10 days now – I am 25, I look about 18 (so everyone says) I’m really embarrassed about my balding on the top of my head. I am putting 100000% confidence in Procerin, positive thinking goes a long way too I think! I’m from UK :o)

Subj: Saw palmetto and biotin
Date: 4/29/2004
I recently ordered a 6 month supply of Procerin. I will start taking it as soon as I get it…but I have been taking some saw palmetto and biotin for about three weeks now. It may just be my imagination, but my hair already seems a little thicker.
However, I think the saw palmetto does have some slight side effects…it’s hard to explain…maybe like a slight hangover???
