Concerned environmentalist
Date: 6/15/2011
Good Evening, I am using Procerin topical treatment and I am some what of a concerned enviromentalist and was just questioning that after I apply this product and rinse my hands in the sink is the residue safe for going into water treatment plants. Thank you

Bob

AskDocWeb: You may want to rinse your sink thoroughly to avoid the excessive growth of hair clogs. Seriously, the ingredients are biodegradable and we are not aware of any environmental issues with Procerin.

Still using Procerin
Date: 6/27/2011
At 31 I noticed my hairline receeding quickly. I started on Procerin and herbal based shampoo and sometimes herbal topical. I didn’t notice any regrowth but it halted the loss. Three years later my hair looks about the same.

Dan

AskDocWeb: Thanks Dan, it is helpful to hear from men who have been using Procerin long-term.

Procerin or Provillus?
Date: 7/17/2011
Hi, aged 30, hairline receding/receded over last 3 yrs. Just wondering what best course of action is procerin/provillus?? using herbal shampoo at moment but no notice of any real growth. Thanks,

Jack

AskDocWeb: Hi Jack, Between Procerin and Provillus, the feedback from those using them is slightly in favor of Provillus. It is more likely to slow or stop the hair loss than it is to cause new growth. For that you may want to add minoxidil. Of course applying it twice a day does take a lot more time and effort than just using the Provillus supplement. Whichever one you decide to use, we would like to hear how well it works for you. Good luck.

Procerin headaches and thyroid problem
Date: 7/19/2011
I was using procerin and I start having this big headaches that havent stop for a month now… I stop taking them in the first week of treatment because the headaches stared after a week of taking them… I dont understand why… I think I have a thryroid problem and I check on the internet that too much saw palmento its bad for that…

Rogger

AskDocWeb: Yes, if you have hyperthyroidism then saw palmetto may cause problems. Due to its potential hormonal effects, saw palmetto may induce or worsen an overactive thyroid. Headaches were reported by less than one percent of Procerin users.

Procerin in Singapore
Date: 7/26/2011
Where can i buy Procerin in Singapore, or what is the most convenient way to order it from Singapore.

Anup

AskDocWeb: The most convenient way is to order it from their website since it is probably not available locally.

Decided to give Procerin a shot
Date: 8/2/2011
I’ve been impressed with the positive review from Procerin users, so have decided to give Procerin a shot myself. I’m a 22yr old, with a receding hairline. Still have a relatively thick head of hair, however I have been shedding substantially more in the last 3-6months, which is worrying. I would love for Procerin to help knock my loss on the head, I’d be more than satisfied if procerin achieves this for me. I’m also using Nizoral, which has definitely helped the condition of my scalp. My goal is to halt my hair loss, any added regrowth is a definite bonus. Thanks.

M shaped baldness
Date: 8/24/2011
Hi I read that you were saying that procerin doesnt help with M shaped baldness, does it mean that M shaped baldness is more severe than regular baldness? So people with M shaped baldness have not been able to even retain their hair using procerin? is that the case? what do you think would help people who suffer from M shaped baldness?

John

AskDocWeb: There are “a few” reports of success with the hair line but not enough to justify recommending it for that purpose. We are currently unaware of any product that is effective for the hairline.

Procerin dosage
Date: 8/25/2011
Hi, I am waiting to start my dosage of Procerin. I wanted to know what the ideal dosage is? Is it 2 per day/ 3 per day?

Krish

AskDocWeb: The bottle we purchased says to take one in the morning and 2 in the evening. However, that was over 5 years ago and the directions may have changed. Their current directions will be on the label.

Procerin to maintain health of hair?
Date: 9/2/2011
HI.. am just 20 years, and i see very little bit of hair thinning one my top. No one in my family is bald…mother nor father side side…all have full hair like teens…i was just wonderin is it ok to take procerin just to maintain the health of my hair, and also after takin 3 pills per day makes me kind of dry out..so is ot ok to reduce it to just to 2 ..1 in morning and 1 in evening.

Jane

AskDocWeb: Yes, reducing dosage is a common way to reduce side effects. However, that will be effective only if the product and not something else is causing the dryness.

Almost 3 months
Date: 9/8/2011
I have been using Procerin for almost 3 months now. However, I am still seeing a lot of hairs in the shower drain. I am not sure if this is really going to work for me. I just want a piece of advice. Thanks.

Robert

AskDocWeb: Just to be sure you understand, there is no product on the market that will completely stop hair loss. It is normal to lose about a hundred or so hairs every day and most of them will show up in the shower drain. If you think that you are losing considerably more than that then Procerin is probably not working for you. However, if you discontinue use and see a sudden increase in hair loss over the next two months that would indicate that it was working and you might want to start using it again.

Well that’s just great!?
Date: 9/11/2011
Greetings to all my hair challenged folks. lol. I have been reading everything I can about regrowing hair/stopping hair loss. For this product for instance, it says it works best for men between 18-35. Well that’s just great. I’m 62. What am I supposed to do? Waste my money, hoping it works? So tell me, AskDocWeb, what does an older person like me do. Any products like this for older people? Also, I noticed about 5 years ago when I tried to grow my hair long, as in down my back, that the hair on the top of my head would not grow any longer than the back of my head. When it got to the back of my head, it simply stopped growing any longer. The rest of my hair grew real long. Do you have any idea why the hair on the top of my head refused to grow past the top back part of my head? Okay, go ahead and laugh. I’m used to it! LOL. Thanks for your input.

Kirk

AskDocWeb: (Insert tongue in cheek) It may be that those gremlins living in your collar like the taste of hair and keep eating every strand that comes within reach. Imagine that! (Okay, remove tongue from cheek)

Losing hair seems to be a natural part of the aging process for many people. You can either fight it with drugs like Propecia or Minoxidil, or you can learn to laugh about it because there really isn’t a good solution right now. Of course there is a considerable amount of research being done so stay tuned for news.

How many pills per day and cost in India
Date: 10/7/2011
Hi, I’m 25 years old i have been experiencing seviour hair loss….. im planning to take procerin as it has good reviews all over… i just want to know how many pills per day should be taken and how much it costs in india…

Dinesh

AskDocWeb: One in the morning and two at bedtime seems to work well for most men. It is doubtful that you will find it locally in India but you can check the price and shipping charges on their website.

My hair line has receded
Date: 10/29/2011
I am 20 years old, in my 3rd at uni studying philosophy. Over the last year my hair line has receded slightly and my hair line has always been far back, ever since I was a child. I am a singer song-writer with interests from some major labels. I will be pursuing my career after this final year of studying. My manager said my hair loss is a concern because image is very important in the industry. Today was my first day on procerin and after reading testaments on this site, I am quite excited! I am very optimistic. I will be back when I feel I have something to share!

Singer

AskDocWeb: Welcome to the forum Singer! If you read the one year study results you will see that we recommend this product for reducing hair loss but not for regrowing hair that has already been lost. Some men did report the growth of new hair but the percentage of men reporting that wasn’t enough to support that kind of recommendation.

Hair loss got worse
Date: 11/14/2011
I Notice that my hair lost got a lot worst after taking Procerin. Is there a period in time where it gets worst before it gets better? How much longer should I wait until it starts working.

Greg

AskDocWeb: Yes, that increase in hair loss is referred to here as shedding. If you read through some of the posts you’ll see that this is not unusual with any hair loss product. We would give it a full three months before evaluating how well it works.

Upset after 2 years on Propecia
Date: 11/20/2011
Hello, I’m 22 and receding pretty harshly. It’s really upsetting. I’ve been on propecia for 2 years and am not so positive if it’s been helping. I really want to try Procerin after reading all the great reviews.

22 year old male

AskDocWeb: It is our understanding that men who quit using Propecia go through a period of increased hair loss lasting several months. If you stop using Propecia, Procerin will NOT prevent that increased hair loss from occurring.

Hairline
Date: 11/22/2011
Hi, im 23 yrs old and I have been starting to take procerin not long ago but recently found that it may not even be good for hairline? So im not sure if I should wait to use it only later? I only notice hairline problem in my case for now. I would have sure enjoyed if it could have stopped it of getting worst.

David

AskDocWeb: Hello David. There are a lot of men who share your situation with the hairline. A few men have reported that Procerin helped grow hair in their hairline but most are taking it to prevent further hair loss.
