Procerin Study Research

Procerin Study

December 2003 We think Procerin needs more documented testing and since we can’t find enough to satisfy us, we decided to conduct our own tests. If you would like to volunteer so that others can benefit from your experience, let us know and we will give you a special email address to use for your feedback and photos. Hopefully, we will find at least one person in each of the following age groups:

  • 20-30 years old
  • 30-40 years old
  • 40-50 years old
  • 50-60 and above

To volunteer for this study, use the form below to send us your name and
postal mailing address. It will be used only for this research project. We want to verify that all volunteers are real people. Each volunteer will be sent directions for sending photos.

Volunteers will need to send at least 2 photos (forehead and crown shots) and feedback once a month while taking Procerin. Please pay attention to any possible side effects and share them with us. We will track the volunteers progress here.

All the volunteers who report here are testing Procerin at their own expense. There are no paid endorcements, just people like you who are sharing their experience with this product.

We realize this Procerin study is nowhere near a clinical double blind scientific study but it is the best we can do. We will do our best to insure the integrety of this study. Your suggestions are welcome.

Subj: One week – Steve
Date: 12/8/2003
I’ve just started using Procerin. I’m 20 years old and already have a badly receding hairline. I don’t know if there’s much hope for me, but hopefully at least it will slow it down. I have been using it for a week, and have seen no change yet. I’ve also been taking Gelatin, which seems to help as well. I’ll keep you all updated if it helps me out! I hope so, cause I’m still just a kid and going bald! I hope they come out with a sure cure some day!

Update it’s been one month and I haven’t seen anything (pos or neg) to report.

Subj: Third month – Stefen
Date: 1/9/2004
On my third month of Procerin, hair loss has definitely slowed down, but so far I’ve only grown back some really light colored hairs on my forehead. Is this normal? Will they darken (my hair is black)? I wish I’d found Procerin earlier, I’m worried that I finally started doing something about my hair loss too late.

Date: 12/10/2003
I just ordered my first 3 month supply of Procerin. I haven’t recieved it yet, but I’d be happy to provide info on how it goes.

I’m 29, receding hairline but not really balding on my crown. I figured I’d try something before it’s all gone.

Thanks. Matt

Subj: Three months – Marco
Date: 1/10/2004
I have also been using procerin for three months now and have seen similar results as you have, but unfortunately, I went through something like a shedding period where I lost a lot of hair but by the end of the second month, I stabilized and am only loosing 10-20 hairs a day. Also as regrowth is concerned, it is not happening. I do though, feel it is to early for regrowth to appear. Anyway, I wish you the best of luck and will keep everyone here posted.

Subj: Just starting Procerin
Date: 1/10/2004
Just started using procerin today and am going to take pictures. I will continue to update everyone with further results if they come. I have a good feeling about this supplement. I hope I’m right or I’m shaving my head.

Date: 1/11/2004
I am 33 years old and have been slowly balding for the past 12 years or so. I was taking Propeicia for about
two years with fairly good results in stopping the hair loss and even some slight regrowth, but I stopped taking
it about 6-9 months ago and have definitely noticed an increase in hair loss. I am very interested in Procerin
and would like to participate in your study. Thank you,

Mathew

AskDocWeb: Welcome Mathew. Be sure to take several “before” photos so you will have a way of measuring progress.

Subj: Just started Procerin – Sal

I am 26 years old, and I have a receding hairline (none at the crown). I just popped my first procerin pill, I will let you know how it worx out!

Subj: Trying Procerin
Date: 1/19/2004
I just ordered my first 3 month supply of Procerin. I am expecting to get it this week. I cannot afford Propecia, so I decided to try Procerin as it seems more reasonably priced. I would be happy to keep you updated over the course of this year as to the results I experience.

Hector

Subj: Pictures
Date: 1/19/2004
How about posting some of the procerin results as shown in pictures by the people posting. We are all curious. Thanks

AO

AskDocWeb: We probably won’t have any pictures up until March or April. Right now we have a few “before” pictures – not much to see there. We do need more volunteers who can send us photos. Any takers?

Subj: Procerin study
Date: 1/24/2004
I’m a 24 year old white male who is interested in signing up for your procerin study. I’ve been steadily loosing my hair for over 3 years now. My hair loss has become more of a problem recently and I have searched and searched for possible solutions. So, I would love to try this product.

Kevin

AskDocWeb: Welcome Kevin. We will look forward to your monthly reports.

Subj: Experienced researcher
Date: 1/25/2004
Hi there, I’m a 29 year old doctoral student in psychology, so if you need a good experienced researcher to act as a participant, let me know.

Jon

AskDocWeb: Okay Jon, we are taking you up on your offer. Maybe you can come up with a way to quantify results other than counting hairs in the drain catch.

Subj: Mild improvement
Date: 1/27/2004
I have had mild improvement. I have noticed some chest pain and do not know if it is indigestion or something else? Usually occurring after I take the two tabs, within 30 minutes.

Don

AskDocWeb: Indigestion has been reported by a few others. Try taking the nightly dose (2 capsules) with a small snack or a glass of milk and let us know if this makes a difference for you.

Subj: Procerin’s side affects
Date: 1/27/2004
I am 19 years old and experiencing slight hair loss and thinning on the top of my head. My dermatologist recommended propecia but due to the overwhelming side affects I am afraid to use it. I want to know what Procerin’s side affects are and would it work for me?

Mike

AskDocWeb: Most people haven’t reported any side effects. A few have said they have nausea and a lessor number have had headaches. The nausea is usually overcome by taking it with food. As to the question of it working for you, there is no way to tell without trying it. From the reports we have received, it is working for more than 9 out of 10 men. The company claims an 88% success rate.

Subj: Baldness beginning
Date: 1/27/2004
I am a 28 year-old male with baldness beginning in the front of my head and hairline. I would be happy to test Procerin and give my feedback.

Tom

AskDocWeb: Thanks Tom. The more people we have testing it the better idea we all will have of Procerin’s effectiveness. If you can take pictures along the way, that would be great.

Subj: Six months – Phil
Date: 1/28/2004
I have been using Procerin for six months now. My hair has stopped falling out. I am not seeing the regrowth stages yet but am hopeful. I am 28 years old and started losing my hair when I was 25. So far I would recommend it and hope to see future success.

Phil

Subj: Four months – Ian
Date: 1/28/2004
I have been taking procerin for a little over four months, and so far I noticed that my hair is actually getting thinner. I just want to know if this is something that is supposed to happen before it starts getting thicker?

Ian

AskDocWeb: No, it is not supposed to work that way. It may not be working for you, or may only be slowing your hair loss. The only way to tell which is happening is to stop taking it and keep track of how many hairs you find in the drain catch each time you wash your hair. If the number is fairly steady then you can save your money or try something else. Even the manufacturer says it doesn’t work for everyone. But if you see this number rising over the next few weeks (while you are not taking it), you will know the Procerin has been slowing your hair loss and probably want to start taking it again.

Subj: Three months – Big J
Date: 1/30/2004
I just wanted to say that going bald ruined my life! It took away all of my self esteem and reduced me to spending my time obsessing over my hair line in the mirror. However, the good news is that after using procerin for the last 3 months my hair has stopped falling out all together and feels fuller and looks shinier. Not only that, but my wife swears that my penis is bigger too! Hope this helps all you guys.

Big J

Subj: Recommended Procerin
Date: 2/2/2004
I’m 49, and have been using Procerin for about 45 days. I started experiencing hair loss when I was about 30, and it has been a gradual, progressive process. I had progressed to the point where I had a very thin tuft of hair in front, a large bare area behind it about half way to the back of my head, a bare spot in the back, and badly thinning in between.

I didn’t take any “before” photos, but I’m very pleased with the progress I can see. I have
several 1/4th inch long hairs in formerly bare spots, and a downy undergrowth that appears to be multiplying. This covers much of the bare area, and I’m hoping it materializes into more dense growth. The thinning area appears to be filling in as well.

I don’t expect to return to where I was at 30, but am very pleased with the progress I’ve
seen to date. So much so, I’ve recommended Procerin to my brothers and brother-in-law. I’ll drop in from time to time to let you know where we’re headed. Thanks.

Tom

AskDocWeb: You can still take photos to mark your progress from this point on. The problem with the early photos is that downy undergrowth and those fine hairs do not show up well in pictures. If that new growth continues, the difference will become more and more noticeable.

If you recommend Procerin to anyone, please tell them about our study so we can track side effects and effectiveness. The more data we have, the more complete and accurate our results will be.

Subj: Free Procerin?
Date: 2/2/2004
Ok, so I’ve read through this site and feel procerin is something I want to give a try. I just worry about the cost. Is there a way to be a part of a research study at this point where procerin can be supplied for free if I’m apart of it. Or at least free for a while until the study is completed.

Dakota

AskDocWeb: If we paid anyone (even with just free product), that would bias the reports from that person. Every report you read here comes from volinteers paying their own way. That way there is no influence on them to say anything, one way or the other, about the product.

Subj: You won’t be disappointed
Date: 2/3/2004
I am 25 and just recently noticed some hair loss at the front of my scalp. Boy that was/is depressing. I did my research and found procerin. What a blessing. In three weeks, me and my girlfriend have noticed hair regrowth where it was receding. I’m now into my fourth week and I will not stop taking this product, it really works. Thank god there is something out there. You won’t be disappointed. Start young and maybe balding will only be for people who want to be.

Subj: Hair loss at 19
Date: 2/3/2004
Been losing hairline and thickness since the age of 17… I’m now 19?want it to stop so I just ordered my first 3 months of procerin. I really need this stuff to work. I’ll keep you guys posted.

Ed

Subj: This is the one
Date: 2/3/2004
I’ve been using procerin for 4 months now, and I’m very impressed. My hair does not fall into the drain anymore when I wet it, and I see A LOT of new hairs popping up, I think this is the one.

Paul

Subj: Hard water hair loss?
Date: 2/4/2004
For the past 2 years, I’ve noticed thinning of the hairline. I was wondering if hard water can cause hair loss. 2 years ago and still to date, we shut off the water softener from our well to preserve the water pressure during the drought. I purchased procerin 3 days ago and will be using it to see if it can reverse the thinning. I’ll keep you guys posted. Regards,

Ed

Subj: Preventive measure?
Date: 2/4/2004
I am not loosing my hair yet, but I am 25 and my father is bald. I ordered procerin just in case! Is it ok to take as a preventative measure?

Neil

AskDocWeb: It would seem to be okay as long as you don’t have any side effects. You might want to question your father (or check the family photo album) about when he started losing his hair. That might give you a clue as to what to expect.

Subj: 36 year old male
Date: 2/4/2004
I am a 36 year old male who has been gradually balding over the last 10 years. I have a large bald spot at the rear of my head and have thinned to “tufts” at the front of my head. I am interested and giving it a try. Thanks

Peter
