I have been taking Procerin for 1 week now, and I feel that tracking my progress would be a good idea so I would like to take part in your study. I am 24 with self-diagnosed AGA (baldness on my mothers side) with thinning at the frontal vertex. I dont confide in my doctor, as I have found his attitude to my problem discouraging.
I must share with you possible contributors to my hair loss because I am not sure if they are contributing and would like your opinion on them. These would be the fact that I smoke marijuana about once or twice a day, and I regularly use the sauna and steamroom after training. I mention these because I don’t want to discontinue these activities without knowing for certain if they are counter productive or not.
K’man
AskDocWeb: We have not heard of these activities causing hair loss. We approve of the use of the sauna and steamroom, especially after working out.

I am 23 years old and have slowly been receeding around the temples and thinning in front. I REALLY want my balding to stop. I would love to see pictures of people in this study. I think posting the pictures will help others like myself decide if Procerin is worth trying. Also, it is good to see real life examples different from ones advertised. Thanks.
Chris
AskDocWeb: Okay, if anyone has pictures, send them to:

Hey guys! Thank god for this site. I have been researching forever and all you find are comments by companies that promote their product. I have been taking procerin for two months and I have definitely gone through a shedding period where I have lost more hair than when I previously started. Not a good sign. I am 26 with a receding hairline and esteem going down the drain. I used to be one fly guy! Now I have a big forehead! I hope procerin can help. I just wonder what is the maximum timeframe for regrowth. I have been a little inpatient and have tried this product on and off. I had been on it for 2 months straight now. They quote 1-3 months for regrowth, but I think it can take a lot longer. I just need to know the maximum timeframe so I have something to shoot for otherwise I will probably give up. Please help!
Dan
AskDocWeb: We haven’t seen a maximum timeframe, but with Propecia, it says if you haven’t seen results in 12 months, you probably won’t. That timeframe comes from the company that makes and sells Propecia. (Of course they want to maximize sales) We think that maximum timeframe should be more like 6 months.
Side note: Please, Dan, use only one email address at a time. Our fraud detection system flags the feedback as suspect when someone uses more than one address.
Subj: 1 month – Ed

1 month completed and satisfied. I reported my order a month ago on the test site. I’m 19 and began shedding at around 17 and half. I used Rogaine for a year and half. It seemed to work but not for my hairline. I also experienced lots of itching of the scalp. I stopped using rogaine and continue with procerin. My hair seems thicker and smoother. Also, I’ve noticed less hairs falling out while I shampoo. I’ll keep you posted after 2 months.

Just want to keep people up on my progress. I’ve been taking procerin for a little over a month. However I often miss dossages. Like the night one. I forget. I also sometimes take 1 and 1/2 pills b/c many of the pills in the bottle are broken. I have not noticed more or less hair loss. I’m going to try to be more consistent with my usage of procerin. all for now. I reply again in a month

Subj: 4 months – Jason

I am a 21 year old balding guy. I just finished my fourth bottle of procerin out a six month supply with absolutely no improvement. If anything the hairloss has become worse. I’m going to finish the supply anyways. Before using Procerin I gave avacor a chance (6 months). That was unsuccessful also. Is there any hope left?
Jason
AskDocWeb: Balding at 21 years old makes you a tough case, but there is always hope. We encourage you to keep track of what you try and let us know if you find something that works, and those things that don’t work for you.
Subj: ‘M’ style hair
Date: 3/21/2004
I’ve just ordered 3 month procerin. I am Asian and 30 years old, and live in out of USA. I have receding front hair line, and also serious receding in side of front hair..we call it ‘M’ style hair. Does it really works in ‘M’ Style? I hopeĀ

Subj: Any thoughts?
Date: 3/25/2004
Hi, Kenny here. I forgot to ask last time I wrote in if anyone else out there suffers from sudden urges to use the bathroom whilst taking procerin? While the treatment is really working well to thicken and restore what little hair I originally had, I must say that I have noticed lots of rumbling ‘down below’ and frequent runs to the bathroom (no pun intended!). Could this be linked to the treatment in some way? Any thoughts?

It’s very nice product.
Tom
AskDocWeb: Hi, Tom. Just courious, what makes you think that?
Subj: Is saw palmetto safe?
Date: 3/25/2004
Is saw palmetto safe for you and does it help in stopping hair from thinning? Are there sexual side effects? This seems to be the main ingredient in Procerin, which I am thinking of ordering. Thank you
Rick
AskDocWeb: Those are questions we hope this study will answer. Although it may help you to know that saw palmetto is used in some cancer treatments.

I’m 25, and over the past couple years I’ve noticed some receding of my front hairline. It is now an ‘M’ shape. Just recently, I also noticed some thinning toward the back of my head as well.
I talked to a dermatologist who said I do have male pattern baldness, but that the good news is I have a very high hair density. She recommended Propecia. She said Procerin is not scientifically tested, and therefore probably wouldn’t work. However, for the price difference (and money back guarantee), Procerin seems to be worth a try!
I just ordered a three month supply and hoping for the best. I’ll report results as I go. Thank you for doing this study.
Dan
AskDocWeb: If you have been following this Procerin study, you already know about the lack of scientific testing. That’s why we are doing our own study. However, saying that just because something has not been scientifically proven, it doesn’t work, well, that gets her an “A” in closed mindedness. With thinking like that, we would have no new discoveries.
Subj: PLEASE READ FOR QUALITY OF RESULTS!
Date: 3/26/2004
The following are important to determine the results of the experiment. Lifestyle and general health is important in hairloss.
– Drinking Alcohol/Smoking Increases hair loss and it blocks vitamin/herbal absorption.
– Some people wash their hair more when they start taking hair supplements, over-drying your hair can also cause excessive hair loss.
– The people with the best results probably take the pills at almost the EXACT same times everyday. Taking a pill on a schedule GREATLY increases its potency (ie every 12hrs).
– Also post ages, the website says that it works best for 18-35 or people who’s hair is still in the growth phase.
I’m REALLY curious/concerned about the people that have increased hair loss, seems like there has to be an explanation for it.

Subj: CJ-9 factor and CJ-11 factor
Date: 3/27/2004
Thanks for the help provided on your very useful website. I am concerned about hair loss for myself and others and am interested in procerin. I know it’s not for women, but would be willing to give it a try. I will not do so until the ingredients CJ-9 factor and CJ-11 factor are identified. (The other ingredients seem to be herbs and are most likely harmless.) Are you in a position to do a chemical study to discover what these ingredients are? Or prevail upon the company to disclose them? Thanks again.
Jeanine
AskDocWeb: We have finally been able to find someone at Speedwinds to tell us what these are. The important sounding CJ-9 factor and CJ-11 factor are actually just the binder and coating that holds the pills together. These are inert ingredients and have no side effects at all.
Subj: First sign of balding?
Date: 3/27/2004
I’m only 16, yet I have watched my hair thin over the past year, and begin to fall out. When my hair is wet, it looks as if I am already bald! My hair never used to be so thin – is this the first sign of balding? And by using Procerin at such a young age, am I at any other risks?
Steve
AskDocWeb: We suggest you get a physical to find out what your doctor says about your hairloss.
Subj: Slight headache
Date: 4/5/2004
I have been taking procerin for 3 days now, and have been experiencing slight headache everytime I take them. It only last a few minutes and disappears. Would this be the cause from taking the procerin? And should I stop taking it?
Lydon
AskDocWeb: The slight headaches could be caused by the Procerin. It may be your body getting used to something new. However, you need to decide if they are of enough concern to put up with or not. On the other hand, if they last more than a week, we would stop taking it.
Subj: Switching from Propecia to Procerin
Date: 4/5/2004
I’m 26 and have been taking propecia for about 2yrs with very good results. I stooped taking the drug about 6months ago because I started to notice sexual side effects. since then, it seems like my hair loss is starting to come back. I’m thinking of giving procerin a try. If Propecia worked well for me in the past, would it be safe to say that procerin will too?
Tito
AskDocWeb: It would seem to make sense because both block the DHT buildup in your scalp. If you try this, we encourage you to report back here with your results so others can benefit from your experience.
Subj: 3 months – Mike

I’m 23 and slowly loosing my hair. I started using nioxin and procerin for three months and, when I ran out of the procerin, my hairs were falling off my head faster then anything else w/in the past month. I’m still using the nioxin but I’ve noticed that the back of my head is thining and so is my right side. I think procerin really was working. I might change the nioxin to rogaine and order another 6 months of procerin. What do you think?
Mike
AskDocWeb: We haven’t looked at nioxin or rogaine yet, but it sounds like it might be worth trying with the Procerin.

Ok, I have been using procerin now for almost 2 months…the things I have noticed so far is…that before I used procerin I couldn’t go 24 hrs before washin my hair and it would feel oily…now I can go far more further then that…so I have noticed it blocks the oils in my hair. I have not noticed any new growth and I also find myself using the bathroom alot. I have unusal bowel movements since I have used this product…meaning I use the bathroom double the amount then I used to. I only have 1 more week before I go into my 3rd bottle….and I also got stomach pains from it, but I now eat a couple peices of bread before I take it and it seems to have stopped the pain in the stomach.
I am also using a product called dht sensor enzyme complex. It consist of shampoo and conditioner and a topical solution and a vitamim…it helps my hair feel heathier.
I do plan on ordering another 3 months supply of procerin when I’m done and I’ll keep this site posted on new changes. Thanks for this site – it helps to know what other people are experencing also with porcerin. I just wish more people that having been using it would respond more with their results.

Here is my update. I am a 41 year old male with a receding hairline and balding on the crown. I have been taking Procerin now for 1 month with NO side effects at all. As a matter of fact, my wife notices that my hair is starting to look a little fuller. I have high hopes for this product, and will keep you informed monthly.

Subj: DHT Question
Date: 4/6/2004
Hi, I am trying to get the definitive answer to my question :- Will having had a vasactomy 10 years ago change the DHT process and might Procerin work for me at the tender age of 53. I have been thinning out from the front hairline & temples for about 5 years. Thanks for any help/advise
Michael
AskDocWeb: Sorry Michael, we do product reviews here, not the effects of surgery. You might find help in a vasectomy forum from someone who has already done the research. As for using Procerin at 53, we have one person here at the office who is getting good results at the age of 52.

I have been taking Procerin for a month and a bit now. I DO smoke cannabis, but despite this I am still getting regrowth round the frontal vertex. But I only noticed regrowth in the last 2 weeks after purchasing Revivogen, and applying that once a day. I know you want people just to use procerin for researchs sake but this combo seems to be effective. I am concerned about whether the excess Saw Palmetto applied topically combined with the Saw Palmetto in Procerin could be too much?
K’man
AskDocWeb: Are you concerned because of side effects you have, or because of something you heard or read? (Added 5/24/07) Please read the disclaimer page on Revivogen’s website.
Subj: 2 weeks – Garth
Date: 4/7/2004
I’ve been taking Procerin now for about 2 weeks and has either put me into a shedding stage or just has had no effect. If it does work why might Procerin take up to 3 months to work as stated? Propecia says the same thing. Thank you.
Garth
AskDocWeb: It takes that long because your hair grows so slowly. If you find something that makes your hair grow faster, a lot of people would like to know about it.
Subj: How can I join?
Date: 4/8/2004
How can I join in this discussion? It seems like every time I send you guys an e-mail, it’s never posted…why is that?
I have some great news to tell about procerin, but I won’t say on this e-mail. Get back to me…thanks.
Lydon
AskDocWeb: Almost every page on this website has a feedback form at the bottom for your use. Please do NOT expect us to “get back” to you. We rarely respond to email because we are busy doing research and turning feedback into posts. If you have something to say, just say it.
