Subj: Seeing new hairs
Date: 8/21/2008
I have been using Provillus for about 5 months now, and can see the hair fall stopped. And also I can see some few invicible (or) tiny hairs on my temple area which is really a good hint, moreover the hairs are getting thicker. The negative part is, I get the worst cause of the flacking and dandruff problem because of Minoxidil in Provillus. So I use mild shampoo every alternative days. But after seeing the new hairs, I think I can adjust for flaking/dandruff problems.

Subj: Blood pressure?
Date: 9/2/2008
I read the comments about this products here. Some say it works great. Some say it gives them cheat pain and high blood pressure. so I wonder, what kinda people that would mostly get chest pain and high blood pressure. Those who have high blood pressure or low blood pressure? Thanks.
Rax
AskDocWeb: Yes, those who have a pre-existing blood pressure problem should not use Provillus without first checking with their doctor.
Subj: Using provillus
Date: 10/3/2008
I’ll just using provillus for four days now but I don’t think I need to use 1 ml on my scalp because I’ll only put enough medicine on the thinnig areas of my hair which I believe that I only need small amount of the medicine, I wanna know if this okey?
Winnie
AskDocWeb: If you mean to use only what your need to do a spot application only to the areas that need it then yes, that is okay. And you have the advantage that what you are using will last a lot longer.
Subj: Birth defects?
Date: 10/13/2008
Hello, I am male. I have been taking provillus for about 7 months now and I am afraid to continue its use because of the side effects. One of the side effects is child birth defects. My wife and I are thinking about having our first child now…do you suggest I stop using provillus now? Or has the damage been done??? Thank you.
Massimo
AskDocWeb: It sounds like you have confused Provillus with something else. No birth defects have been reported from the use of Provillus.
Subj: Testogel
Date: 10/31/2008
Dear sir/madam, since the beginning of September 2008, after a routine blood test, my doctor advised me to go on Testogel 50mg containing Testosterone in a 5mg sachet. I am 42 years of age and presently in Ireland there is a programme run through Schering Laboratories (The Lust for Life) for males over 40 years who suffer from tiredness, loss of libido, weight gain, etc. Since the age of twenty five, there has been a noticable patchy, receeding, and thinning of my hair and since the year 2000 on regular occasions I would use 5% regaine solution on my scalp to improve the condition and within weeks there would be new hair growth. Although I would use the product sparingly and not following the instructions, requiring twice daily applications of 6 squirts to the scalp due to the cost, but still there would be results. My problem now sir/madam is since using Testogel daily applied to the arms and stomach in conjuction with Regaine 5% my hair is quite thin on the crown and sides. Could you advise me on using provillus or another product and the effects and benefits it would have without the benefits of Testogel to my health being reduced or diminished and how safe is using Testogel in the long run. Thanking You and hoping to hear from you.
P.S. Could you keep my name annonymous as you do not reply to emails personally and would prefer not to have my details available with my name unless a false name is used. Thanking You.

AskDocWeb: Sorry, Testogel is not available here in the USA and we have no data on it.
Subj: Minor itching
Date: 11/4/2008
I’ve started Provillus supplement for a week now, and I can testify that my scalp skin is a bit dryer and it causes some minor itchings, although not really annoying. Well it was just to testity one side effect, but I’m continuing the treatment for sure and hope to see results in the future.

Subj: Melancor with Provillus?
Date: 11/5/2008
Hi, Please let me know if I can use Melancor along with Provillus. Please let me know if there are any side effects of taking them together. I am presently taking Provillus.
Tanish
AskDocWeb: We aren’t aware of any problems with using Melancor along with Provillus. If you run into any do let us know.
Subj: Receding hairline
Date: 11/13/2008
OK, I ordered Provillus for 6 months. Each package contains a bottle of Men’s Provillus with 5% Minoxidil Topical Solution and a bottle of Provillus Men Dietary Supplement. when I looked at the box instruction, it says, “Do not use if your amount of hair loss is different from that shown on the side of this carton or your hair loss is on front of the scalp. Minoxidil topical solution 5% is not intended for frontal baldness or receding hairline.” What? Provillus should have stated that on their website. I don’t have vertex baldness. I only have frontal hair loss and it’s continue losing hair. I wonder, if I use this, what would happen? Also, since it says Minoxidil topical solution 5% is not intended for frontal baldness or receding hairline, can I just take the Dietary Supplement? will that help? Thanks,
Ben
AskDocWeb: Although Minoxidil is not intended for a receding hairline it does work in that area for some men, just not a high enough percentage to justify that claim. The affect of the Dietary Supplement will depend on the cause of your hair loss. It is intended for those who don’t eat a balanced diet. If that is true for you then give it a try.
Subj: Great results
Date: 11/15/2008
I have been using Provillus and have found great results. Im going to tell you direct, you will loss hair at first as I think your scalp adjusts to the usage, you will also get scalp flaking and you will wonder if its even working. You HAVE to stick it out for at least 3 months, by the 3rd month you should see results. I found if you stop for more than a week, and go back to usage you start at square one, and hair fall out will resume, until the next 3month cycle is complete. Again this is what I found that worked for me, good luck.

Subj: Didn’t see any results
Date: 11/16/2008
Hi, I used provillus for 6 months and I didn’t see any results, I’m wondering, is it a good idea to switch to nasim biofactors?
ali
AskDocWeb: Thanks for sharing your results with Provillus. None of the hair loss products currently on the market work for everyone. And yes, it does sound like it is time to try something new.
Subj: Worry about growing facial hair
Date: 11/20/2008
I am a women and would like to try the product, but have a worry about growing any facial hair or something along them lines. Can you tell me if this is likely this can happen?
Kaz
AskDocWeb: It is unlikely and so far there are no reports of Provillus causing the growth of any facial hair.
Subj: Are we just kidding ourselves?
Date: 11/24/2008
Hello, I’m new to this and I’m so confused. I have been using Nioxin and Minoxidal for about a year with minimal results. Thinking about trying Provillis. Does anything really work?? Or are we all just kidding ourselves and making these companies rich?
James
AskDocWeb: The answer to that question is in the feedback from those who have actually used these products. Yes, some of them do work for most people but that doesn’t mean everyone. And that is true even for high priced drugs like Propecia. Which, by the way, offers no refund if it doesn’t work. Read the feedback, that’s why it is there.
Subj: Stretch marks?
Date: 11/30/2008
Hi, I’m 22 and have been taking Provillus for about a year and a bit, and have received minimal results for my early age male pattern baldness. Recently I’ve been suffering from severe anxiety, depression and memory issues,(forgetting peoples names, words, and the spelling of words that I use on a regular basis). Also, I’ve noticed stretch marks randomly appear on my biceps and thigh, and I’m not a bodybuilder or athlete, or gained any weight or on any other medication or drug. Could it be possible that Provillus is triggering a hormonal imbalance of some sort to cause this?? like an overage cortisol from the adrenalin glands or some sort of testosterone issue? thanks a lot.
Justin
AskDocWeb: It may be time to get physical to find out what is going on. We’ve not heard of any kind of hormonal imbalance caused by Provillus.
Subj: Front hairline?
Date: 12/3/2008
Is Provillus effective in stopping and/or regrowing hair in the front hairline in men? All the before and after pictures I see from using Provillus only show regrowth on the crown?
Chris
AskDocWeb: If you read the consumer reviews here you’ll see that a few men have reported regrowing hair in the front hairline but it is not advertised for that. Evidently there is not enough success in that area for the company to make that claim.
Subj: Results in less than a month
Date: 12/3/2008
I’m a 46 year old who has been suffering from slow hair loss for about 12 years. I’ve tried alot of things and nothing seemed to work. I bought the 6 month supply of Provillus and noticed almost immediate results. In less than a month my hair has started to return. in places it has started wispy and then grown thicker. My hairstylist has also noticed just talking on the street. I love the simplicity and have already ordered my next 6 month supply.

Subj: Reduced from 2 pills to 1 a day
Date: 12/5/2008
Hello, I have been using provillus for about four months. I changed my dose from using two pills a day to one pill a day in order to for my pills to last longer. I know it probably won’t have the same effect but is one pill completely ineffective? What is the best treatment for frontal/hairline hair loss? I am not really sure if I am losing hair but at the corners on the front of my scalp I can see my scalp under my faux hawk whereas I dont believe that I could see it my scalp and the frontal corners of my faux hawk hair style previously. I am really confused and hope to be pointed in the right direction. Thank You.
Andy
AskDocWeb: Reducing the dosage does reduce the effectiveness but we have seen nothing that says it eliminates it, there is still some effect. When a hair loss product that is effective for the front hairline comes on the market you can be sure it will be announced here but right now we have no recommendation for that area.
