Subj: Vioxx is deadly
Date: 10/18/2008
Vioxx is deadly …I took vioxx for leg heel and osteoprosis pain…worked wonderfully…within two weeks I had flu symptons that would not go away…my health declined rapidly and I had to quit work in less than a year. I stopped the vioxx at this point and it probably saved my life…my health deterioted again…massive swelling…extreme fatique…severe breathing problems…then heart problems…I was admitted to the e.r. from home the night I stopped breathing, I was resuscitated…and hospitalized…my liver and kidneys shut down within two days…I was life flighted to a larger hospital. I was in a coma by the time I arrived at the hospital…I fought for my life for the next 30 days. I was placed on breathing support and every other machine they could use to keep me alive…my family was finally notified that I would not live…for what ever reason. The Drs say not them…I was still alive three days later…when they had done all they could for me. I was sent home a complete invalid, wearing diapers and had a feeding tube in my stomach. The Dr told my family not to get their hopes up…I would probably never recover. I was bedridden for a total of 8 months. I was 98 lbs when I finally was able to get out of bed…I now have a disorder called dystonia which is a spadmadic muscular disorder caused by drug poisioning. My life over all is good but vioxx cost my family way more than it was worth…and by the way, I never received any type of compensation, not even an admission of responsibility from the drug producer…vioxx is deadly

Subj: Blood clot
Date: 4/13/2009
I took Vioxx for 36 doses in March and April of 2004. In May, the blood clot that accumulated in my leg from Vioxx broke apart and moved to my chest, and, in turn, to my brain. I had a stroke from it as well as I do not recommend CO2 inhibitors for joint pain. There are just too many risks that don’t outweigh the gain.

Subj: Stroke
Date: 3/5/2010
I suffered a Basal Ganglia Stroke in July,2005. Six months after having a neck fusion procedure done, to rectify a injury at ocurred at work about a year earlier. I was prescribed VIOXX, and took this drug for over six months. About two weeks prior to the Stroke, my motor vehicle was struck in the rear by a small truck, giving me severe whiplash. I am told Vioxx did not cause my type of stroke. My GP of about 25 years said the cause of my Stroke was a mystery. I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW WHAT MAY HAVE CAUSED MY STROKE.
